Us Weekly Editor-in-Chief Janice Min used her "From Us To You" editor's note this week to explain why her magazine covers MTV's "The Hills" in such detail: "for millions of young women and men, the backstabbing and well-dressed world of Lauren, Heidi, Spencer, and Audrina is about as fun as it gets in pop culture right now," she said.

Min also used the note to tell "Hills"-haters (namely Us' over-35 audience) to back off. "For all of you over-35 readers out there who once loved Melrose, 90210, or even Dallas before that, stop judging! Remember, we were all those kinds of fans too."

Us is seen in the industry to have propelled the "Hills" cast members to stardom, and main character Lauren Conrad has even publicly admitted as such (although she lashed out at the magazine for twisting her words on last week's cover, a statement she was ultimately forced to backtrack from).

Recently, Min used her "From Us To You" note to brag about being nominated for the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Magazine Overall Coverage.
