Us Weekly reports Sambora's daughter was in the car:

Richie Sambora's 10-year-old daughter Ava was in the car at the time of his DUI arrest Tuesday night, a law enforcement official tells Usmagazine.com.

Police would not confirm Ava's identity, as the incident is still under investigation.

From the AP:

Bon Jovi lead guitarist Richie Sambora has been arrested in Laguna Beach, Calif., for investigation of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sgt. Jason Kravetz says Sambora was arrested just before 11 p.m. Tuesday. Three females, including two minors, were in the black Hummer with him.

Sambora was booked at the Laguna Beach jail and released around 4 a.m. Wednesday. He was given notice to appear May 7 on one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence.

I live in a college town, and every weekend it's Russian Roulette to drive after 10 p.m. because there are so many drunken drivers out there.

Hope he gets better. Richie looks terrible.

Anyone who drives with a child in the car, under the influence, deserves to have their drivers license canceled permanently. If they don't even respect their own child's safety, how do they respect the safety of others on the road?

It would be very smart of him to agree to supervised custody of his daughter for the present and go back to rehab for real this time.
It's not easy to grow up, take control of yourself and be a good father. Take it from someone who's Dad did the right thing, his children and their children will love and admire him for it.

We see this in so many people these days, especially celebutards. They look at the republicons and their apparent immunity from the laws of our land - why not them? Why can't they drive their kids around while drunk? We have a dry drunk C-student who lied this country into a war where 4,000 - count them, four thousand American lives have been lost for Operation Iraqi Liberation (OIL) - they have as much money as the republicons - aren't they immune to prosecution, as well????
Give me a fucking break.

I agree what the hell is wrong with these idiots. He is filthy rich or should be from all that Bon Jovi money and there is NO excuse not to hire a freaking limo and driver and do it up. What is WRONG with these people? Are they THAT cheap?

It's not just rockers and actors. Drunk driving is very common in general, unfortunately. It's just if it's a non-celeb making the news for it, it's because they've killed someone etc. What a loser Sambora is! It's one thing to drive drunk, but to have his daughter and (it sounds like) her friends in the car, terrible.

With all his money he couldn't just hire a driver? What is it with these rockers and actors that have all this money, but don't have the sense to hire a driver when they've been out drinking?

Seriously.. Do you think anybody with the need to drive a Hummer in civilian traffic would hire a driver?
