If it's Wednesday that means it's...Dowd-Day. Today's installment did not feature a lot of CLADPAWs (Classic Dowd Pointless Antiphonal Wordplay), though we did get "While the cool cat's away, the Hillary mice will play."

But for those that love slightly-dated pop culture references combined with a pathological hatred of Hillary and yet are too busy to savor every word, we present a new feature: Maureen Dowd: Distilled. All the political acumen of the New York Times' most hilarious op-ed columnist in only 38 words.

We should warn you, this is Dowd concentrate: proceed accordingly.

Huffington Post`s newest form is much better. Less of mine gets chucked when I happen to disagree .

But what happened to the one I wrote about MoDo ?

There are a few commentators who share Ms. Dowd brilliance and insight. She certainly opposed the war and spoke about the tragedies they cause YEARS before Senator Clinton found it necessary to do so lately. This somehow deflates the sentiments of the writer of this piece which is in keeping with the Pro-Clinton crowd: personal, subjective and solely meant to hurt.

Well, I'm glad to see you acknowled the "pathological hatred" of HRC. I often wonder why certain columnists -- who completely get to give their own opinion, of course -- don't have to exhibit even a modicum of fairness. She is way over the top.

But she's witty as hell! "Motel 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" was brilliant.

I love Maureen, if for nothing else her wit and her metaphors. Motel 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue....LOL!!! And IT'S TRUE!!! And calling the former first daughter the "mute Chelsea" a few months ago.
