REALLY, there are no permanent Friends of Bill. For the former President and his wife, a tandem of duplicity and ambition unrivaled in American history, there are only temporary alliances. New Hampshire is learning this now, as so many others have before.

Ever since Bill Clinton proclaimed himself "the Comeback Kid" for his second-place finish in the 1992 New Hampshire Democratic primary, he has portrayed himself as a stalwart defender of New Hampshire and its first-in-the-nation tradition. He championed this state's retail politics as a model for the nation and made sure he maintained his ties here in preparation for his wife's inevitable future presidential run.

Here are three possible ways for the great state of New Hampshire voters who chose Hillary to redeem themselves and these are (a) Superdelegates from NH who endorsed Hillary revoke her support and reduce her delegate count (b) NH voters join all of us Dems in putting an end to the race in PA (c) help the DCC and Obama raise more money for the election.

These are the only things that the ungrateful Clintons respect

Stop Hillary Clinton and Stop National Health Care.

Bill Clinton's Economic Policy left the USA free and OUT OF DEBT in 2010.
That was not the sign of a fair weather friend.

Here we are $ 9 trillion +PLUS INTEREST in debt . Thanks Bush.

Fair weather friends say things like "SO"!

I think New Hampshire just learned one of the basic truisms of American politics: "The Clintons are always there when they need you."

I'm amazed at how this is news to so many. I could have told you this back in 1992.

you know i've noticed a couple annoying things about hillary on the campaign trail. you know one of them is she says "you know" a lot and you know when i say a lot i mean a lot. you know the other thing is she often wears yellow and black and looks like a giant bumble bee.

All I can say to my NE nieghbor is, DUH! Is it news to people that the Clintons use the democrat party for themselves? They are in a party of two. The Clinton party.

"I am still amazed that the ethically challenged Hillary Clinton won here. It makes you wonder about the character of the people who voted for her. Are they "thug" worshipers, plain dumb or just in love of the idea of a woman president. I can't believe anybody here would be foolish enough to believe she could unite the country or get anything done. To quote Dick Morris "Hillary and Bill are always one step ahead of the grand jury." As a Republican I should be thrilled about her winning. Hillary would be great for Republicans across the board. My conscience tells me no. The thought of Hillary winning makes me sick."

quoted from the reply column of the newspaper in New Hampshire. It hit the bullseye. I get nauseated also when the idea that she could be the Democrat's nominee gets serious.

My own take is she has a loyal following of millions of women who have been emotionally hurt in a similar way by their husbands, and are eager to return an ego castration.

I'm glad NH has finally figured out they were duped. All anyone has to do is look how they have dismissed the African American community they owe their careers and personal fortunes to. The same people they could not have won without no longer count. They make me ill.

Exactly. Why have they lost alot of endorsements? Because people have learned that the Clinton will forget as soon as they don't need you.

Hillary turned on the crocodile tears, and the lies, and the old women fell for it. Poor NH--victims of the Clinton's lies.

I'm no fan of Hillary, but, please, the Manchester Union-Leader? This is worst form of a right-wing rag. They don't come any raggier.

I had a friend who went to work there as a young reporter. A few months later, he quit. I asked him why. He said, "Because I had to look at myself in the mirror every day to shave."

This fable, is a good example of why so many Democrats and even some Republicans are interested in Obama. People are tired of the Clinton political spin machine and are looking for a candidate that will respect the intelligence of the voter.

The DNC rules have been in place since, 2004. Terry McAuliffe, good buddy of Bill and Hill, was Chair of the DNC at the time. It was probably the Clinton's idea to begin with, or at least met with their approval.

Deliciously ironic, that.

Like the irony of wanting Michigan and Florida to "count" yet have all the pledged delegates not let pesky things like votes get in the way of doing whatever the hell they want.

I wish someone would outline how she lost control, her ineviatablity status. It's too simplistic to say they didn't have ground troups, they had ground troups in Iowa and New Hampshire, was it they just didn't have the right message that resonated with the voters? Why was she considered the ineviatable nominee, because of her name recognition, the money from the big donors. Did Obama pass her by because he had passionate supporters, where she was like some banana republic name recognition candidate? How do you spend millions and millions, have been part of a successful campaign for this office twice already and do so poorly?

it must be a sad day for huffington when she can't find a new negative article to post about the Clintons. Obama can't come forward with any solid progressive policies but Hillary can and has. Krugman says she has the only real bold and progressive policies and Obama just wants to trot down the same old path we've been on. Clinton is the only real agent of change and the envy is eating huffington alive.

Hillary had her chance with "solid progressive policies" but she hired her pals and plotted her healthcare plan in secret. The big healthcare corporations spent millions to lie about and kill it, and now she takes more political contributions from these same companies than any other candidate. She TALKS a good game, but once she is in power and the chips are down, we quickly learn where her REAL loyalties lie (and it is not with the American people).

She and Bill pushed through NAFTA without having universal healthcare, leaving our workers not only with no healthcare when they became disemployed, but also at the disadvantage of being the only workers in the world without government sponsored healthcare. HERE, we leave that reponsiblity up to (for gawdssakes) EMPLOYERS. No wonder so many jobs have disappeared forever, THANKS TO THE CLINTONS.

I was only chuckling as I read through this post, but I laughed OUT LOUD when I got to this part:

35 years of change right?......Get out a mircoscope to find it. I think we were better off 35 yrs ago,but I won't hold Hillary solely responsible for the decline.

She can't be an agent of anything more than promoting herself. I'm thinking that the accusations of empty rhetoric aptly describe her and have been projected onto Obama.

OK, from now on when confronted with such blatantly blind and undefensible allegiance to the Clinton brand, I'm just referencing Peggy Noonan.....she's explained it brilliantly and better than I could hope to.

Citing Krugman is like quoting Hillary's dad. It carries now authority.

Perhaps you missed Obama discussing his superior economic plan yesterday? Focuses more on regulation than Hill's "mommie knows best so let her help everyone form of welfare." I guess they don't allow posiitve Obama news into the Clinton Cave.
