Dearest A.,

I am half your age, perhaps less, but I love you. If you ever come to Maine, I will buy you dinner.

Same goes for the lovely Katrina Vanden Heuvel, if you're listening.

Yours in progressivism,

A.

Celebrating Women: A Note from Dr. Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I"ll rise.

This is not the first time you have seen Hillary Clinton seemingly at her wits end, but she has always risen, always risen, much to the dismay of her adversaries and the delight of her friends.

Hillary Clinton will not give up on you and all she asks of you is that you do not give up on her.

There is a world of difference between being a woman and being an old female. If you"re born a girl, grow up, and live long enough, you can become an old female. But, to become a woman is a serious matter. A woman takes responsibility for the time she takes up and the space she occupies.

Hillary Clinton is a woman. She has been there and done that and has still risen. She is in this race for the long haul. She intends to make a difference in our country.

She is the prayer of every woman and man who long for fair play, healthy families, good schools, and a balanced economy.

She declares she wants to see more smiles in the families, more courtesies between men and women, more honesty in the marketplace. Hillary Clinton intends to help our country to what it can become.

She means to rise.

Rise Hillary.

maybe this women is racist

Arianna, I saw you on Larry King last night, and you did very well, except you let that bubble head that they put on there with a very high pitched loud voice to contrast your accented voice get in words that spotlighted herself and get a position she did not deserve to have.
Please just speak up and don't let them take the floor on their propaganda they have to say, everything she seemed to remonstrate so confidently could be shot so full of holes.
For instance, when she said "That's just not true", about McCain saying we would be there 100 years; please, Arianna, you are so good at bringing in the bigger picture.- that for instance, being that it DOESN'T MATTER EXACTLY WHAT HE MEANT, HE MADE HIS CHOICES CLEAR.-And that is, that he prefers to see America as an Empire, which is causing America so much difficulty in today's world. He acts so noble about this "War"... It is not a war, it is an occupation. An occupation that costs us 14 BILLION a month.!!
We don't need to be an empire, we need to take care of our own, here at home.
We don't need to be the world leader as a police nation. We need to fix our economy, our healthcare, our infrastructure, and we will never get that done as well with a sold out leader like McCain.
Thanks for being there, & standing up forthe truth.

Arianna seems obsessed with the black man holding the umbrella for John McCain. She mentioned it on Larry King and someone on HuffPost pointed it out recently. What trivial crap. The man was wearing a bright green vest and was obviously someone who was assosciated with the memorial service. That kind of nitpicking makes you and HuffPost appear foolish.

I am no fan of McCain but I have to admire his courage for going to Memphis.

Kellyann and McCain dont seem to understand that Americans don't want our troops in Iraq, period ! Not at war, not in relative peace. It was wrong for the U.S. to go into Iraq in the first place, and it is wrong to stay there for any period of time, much less 100 years, even if they are not being shot at. Two wrongs never make a right.

Will someone PLEASE pin McCain down on that comment? Is he saying we'll only stay if no casualties occur? Think about it. Think about the massive contradictions involved in that statement. More than 4000 Americans have died already. He wants troops to stay in Iraq right now. There's no "peacetime" situation there, obviously. Far far from it. So just exactly WHEN does it flip over to an extended stay ONLY if there aren't any casualties, from the CURRENT situation of heavy casualties for Iraqis AND Americans? When? How, exactly, does that work?

Not to mention the OTHER aspect of that comment: Is he saying that our troops should LEAVE Iraq with the first troop death? Hasn't he said that leaving is SURRENDERING? If a Democrat even suggested something like that, wouldn't he or she be accused of being a "surrender monkey"?

So, if McCain suggests it, suggests that our troops leave as soon as any casualties occur, stay ONLY in a "peacetime" situation . . . then no media dare question him?

If ANYONE would pin him down on this, really pin him down on this, he couldn't handle the contradictions. No one could. Their heads would explode with all of the internal logical contradictions and absurdities involved with that stance.

That republican strategist is absolutely clueless. Congress gets a ding because it's doing nothing to stop Bush, and the GOP members prevent this and the Dem leaders are not pushing hard enough. To align yourself with Bush in any way right now is political suicide.

i'm still waiting for mccain to apologize for voting against funding for mlk day as recently as 1994, apparently he still didn't think mlk's legacy was worth federal funding at that time.

Great job Arianna. We're not supporting Obama simply because we're voting against Clinton. We believe in what he stands for and represents. And we will keep donating until he wins the election in November.

McCain will keep troops in Iraq indefinitely during peace time.

McCain will keep troops in Iraq indefinitely during violent crisis time.

Will McCain keep our troops there if they bomb Iran? If I were a soldier, I'd certainly wanna know that one...looks like nothing will make him remove troops from Iraq....instead of body armor, if McCain wins we need to start sending our soldiers potassium iodide pills and spf 20,000 sunscreen. The fallout from Iran's nuclear sites alone will make Gulf War syndrome look like the flu.

Will he be alive to apologize to the troops he will expose to this? And why hasn't he signed on to the new GI Bill? What kind of a war hero does this to his brothers and sisters?

"My friends, bomb bomb bomb Iran and yo ho ho with a bottle of rum....."

The most dangerous liar in the world is the one who believes his own lies.
