Sen. John Kerry reached out to veterans here on Barack Obama's behalf Saturday, saying he believes Obama is more prepared to be commander in chief than Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton were when they took office.

Kerry told the crowd he did not think Obama would be victimized by GOP attacks the way he was in 2004 by the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth." Kerry took responsibility for not fighting the Swift Boat assaults more effectively, but he said advisors, including Bill Clinton, suggested he not defend himself aggressively.

Also there is no reason I shouldn't say his entire name. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. Barack Hussein Obama.

Who cares what his middle name is?

exactly- say it so much that it wont mean a thing to the ignorant racist masses. A name is a name - no biggie.

why? will nobody tell the truth about obama? That he is a racist anti-american? I mean 20 years in a racist anti-american church and he simply didn't notice? TWENTY YEARS? come on.

get a grip - this will not work with regular thinking people. It only works with ignorant people who will not vote for him anyway.

No one will ever be Swiftboated like John "Kick Me Hard" Kerry. But Obama will be trashed thoroughly. By November, voters will think he was one of the 911 hijackers. The Dems are not good at running against the Repubs because they don't know how to counter the dirty tricks. Get used to saying President McCain unless the Dems get their act together real quick.

and really it's the Kennedy women who seem to carry the torch the best, not unlike Hillary can do.

Also I wonder how much Kerry's wife turned off some of the electorate in 2004? Being from Africa and all.

John Kerry, member of the should've beans, along with fellow Bay staters Dukakis and Kennedy. I'm sure Kennedy advised Kerry too, but he won't say that 'cause Kennedy is for Obama. Kennedy being so for Obama 'cause Clinton is Clinton and all that scandal -- not like daddy Joe, or brother John & Bobby or Teddy ever went fishin' in a hole they shouldn't have.

COWARDS TO THE LEFT OF ME SWIFTBOATERS TO THE RIGHT

Dems too cowardly to deny Mr. Obama the nomination will instead difer this to the general where they will secretly vote against him and publicly decry the Republicans for his landslide defeat.

Gore/Obama or settle for McCain - - - - sorry Mr. O but a little "marinating" will prove a good thing in the end.

hide and see

Of course the GOP will swiftboat hiom. Especially on Rev. Wright.

And Obama's most recent nuancing of his Rev. Wright story is making it worse.

On Hardball's College tour he says he "never" heard Wright say these tyhings.

Oh - come. Never? Never heard him say it over a cup of coffee amongst friends? Never once when it was jus the two of them talking? Never?

Are we to beleive Wright can say these things with such passionfrom the oulpit yet "never" express these views to Obama face to face in 20 years? Never?

Please don't insult my intelligence Mr. Obama.

Your "crazy uncle" excuse I believed. Your "never said these things to me" excuse is pure bull.

Also, what's the deal about sneaking smokes? Why can't he ever tell the truth about about things which may be embarassing to him?

Maybe because the reporter didn't ask him a question, so how do you
explain an answer?
Telepathy maybe?
Great reporting, no just some half baked reporter with a paddy on
about Obama. Please read carefully, otherwise you might just miss
those pesky facts.

If Obama is lying about Rev. Wright and the Republicans make it a campaign issue, by "Swiftboating" you obviousy mean "telling the truth."

What you bring up is the only issue I have with Senator Obama. I saw nothing inflammatory about what his pastor said. On Friday many in this country were on the MLK bandwagon touting his greatness. Yet when he was alive, the FOX news of that time, and people like you were not being so kind when he said what he had to say about this country. Jeremiah Wright indicted America in sermons from the pulpit. He is a true patriot because he does not seek to say his country is great he seeks to make it great by addressing the ills that exist within it. Barack missed an opportunity to open this gaping wound and begin a much faster healing process than the speech he gave in Philadelphia will allow. Though his speech made me cry it also ticked me off because I thought about the absurdity of him having to defend and distance himself from this man who did nothing but speak the truth. If I were him I would no want the vote of a racist. No amount of appeasement can change a dark heart and a polluted mind. The presidency is not worth the friendship of a Jeremiah Wright in my opinion. Now run and tell your Republican friends that. Tell them also a McCain victory will be the spark that ignites something they did not anticipate; justice has already been set in motion by the deeds of the devilish and there is no turning back.

Unfortunately, John Kerry sounds delusional. Does he really believe that the Republicans won't use everything they can against Obama. That is pure BS. Also unfortunately, Obama has given them plenty of ammunition. As for his being ready to be Commander-In-Chief, pure political speak. Obama has no qualifications for that position.

"...Obama has given them plenty of ammunition."?

And what of your party, eh? Do the Democrats not have eight years of a pathetic and disastrous Bush presidency as ammunition? (Not to mention the years that the Republicans held control of Congress.) The worst president in our nation's history. What an achievement, Mr. Bush. Congratulations. How could we ever have doubted you?

The Democrats have the equivalent of a nuclear arsenal when it comes to ammunition against your beloved Republicans for the upcoming campaign. You will be so shell shocked by the breadth and depth of the attacks that you will file for Veterans' benefits. LOL.

"As for his being ready to be Commander-In-Chief, pure political speak. Obama has no qualifications for that position."

Then he will lose, McCain will win, and the country will continue to be the greatest on earth. God bless America as we head into four more years of war, a shrinking middle class, and governance by deceit, illusion and blindness to the reall issues facing this country. What could be better than that?

If Obama is the candidate of the Democratic party, he will wish that the Republicans only swiftboat him...

I guess, you ain't seen nothing yet, Mr. Kerry & Mr. Obama. McCain and Rove will eat you for breakfast. You will never fully know, what ton of bricks hit you.

As for his wife, a strong intelligent woman with character scares you who suffer from what I like to call LMS (Little Mind Syndrome). His wife's statement's were not unpatriotic they were symbolic of an America that has still not put the stupid and wasteful conversation of race to bed. I thank you for your contribution to that stupidity that divides us not unites us. You sir are a real patriot and a model of what we should all aspire to be as Americans. Long live the foolish!

Actually the Church he attends has so called "white" members. Which brings us to the church you attend (if any) which I am sure is fully integrated and the epitome of unity. In your effort to digest a selective and subjective truth you must have missed the news conference called by the head of the church organization that Barack Obama"s church resides in. It is to be understood; those who are predisposed seldom make time for facts, so allow me to provide you some:

http://www.ncccusa.org/news/080403trinity.html

This time its personal and I sense a majority of American people are tired of being seen around the world as people who are easily duped by idiots and self-interested zealots named Rove, Hannity, Ingram, Coulter, Limbaugh, and the rest of that radical fringe minority. I anticipate Americans may be tired of the brand of stupidity in governance that GWB represents and that J. McCain promises more of. I sure hope so or God Help America!

Let me also acquaint you with an article that reflects what people around the world are saying about America. Though written in 2005, I suspect the view still stands.

For the record Obama was ALREADY swiftboated TWICE. The first time came with the Fear Ad that Hilary ran the second time came with the Wright Controversy. When it came out his numbers started plummeting. I believe that fear ad is why he lost the Texas primary. But he responded quickly with his own ad and as far as the Wright controversy he responded quickly with the truth. I was SHOCKED with how quickly he came out with that new ad as far as the Fear Ad. What hurt him in Ohio was the Nafta incident and he didnt responded quickly enough to that but even so it still was NOT a devastating lost just by 8 points.

So this idea that Obama is green and that he wont know what to do is RIDICULOUS he was faced with it and he handled it. Hilary was counting on that Wright incident doing him in. Ironically instead she lost a possible superdelegate because of it. So he is getting Vetted in this primary no doubt about it. Which should make Hilary happy and proud.

John Kerry could have easily gone on the offensive in 2004 when the Republican liars did their thing.

But he rolled over and took it, and he refused to say anything too controversial about Bush. Maybe there is some rule about not trashing your Skull and Bones fraternity brothers?

Two weeks ago the Winter Soldier gathering gave Iraq war veterans a chance to tell the truth in a similar fashion to what was done in 1971by Vietnam vets.

http://www.ivaw.org/wintersoldier

But Kerry was a no show. In fact he distanced himself from these Winter Soldier meetings and refused to be associated with them. Too controversial this time round?

Kerry is not the same man who testified in 1971 with courage and honor. He is as trustworthy as Hillary Clinton, and he is just one of many Democrats who are smothering Obama and corrupting him.

Kerry was able to be swiftboated because what was said resonated with the voters and American public. We really could not like him as an anti war protester throwing his medals away and speaking to Congress about the last man in Vietnam. He had engaged in atrocities himself in Vietnam. He protested out of his own guilt.

We could not like Kerry for it. His support of Obama will backfire. We saw Kerry as a wooose and we'll see Obama as less than up for the dirty job ahead. Obama can't even get his hands dirty. He is an academic like Kerry. Being "above it all" is going to make him look sad and pitiful. I already see him that way and the Republicans have lots of time.

I'll actually enjoy it in a way because Obama has bamboozeled you all and you will deserve what you get.

No to be honest it takes a lot of courage to be a peacenik in any age. Coming from a military background as Kerry did, it was even more gutsy for him to stand up for peace. General Clark is another example of someone who is military and yet understands the value of peace and the importance of keeping a military but not abusing it for empire building.

El Hajj Malik Shabazz (Malcolm X) gave a famous speech about the difference between the slave who rejected being a slave and the slave that came to identify with their master. That speech was an eloquent description of slaves then and now. As Malcolm put it, "We still got some house _____ running around here today". I find nothing offensive in that proposition for there are people with brown skin selling out others for position and status today. There are boot lickers running around here today. There are people who turn a blind eye to the condition of people who are suffering in deference to their own comfort. Bottom line for me, if you do not like that post hit the offensive button and it will be reviewed and removed if found to be offensive. I find nothing wrong with drawing lines of distinction however based on historical fact and therefore I find nothing wrong with the post other than fact that I do not believe all Hillary supporters are under the "master"s" table begging for food. The supporter must search their heart for a bigger truth than the lie that pain has caused to manifest in their mind.

Regards.

I offer one final tidbit on this issue of selling people out for self-interest or the house ------ concept. This is not something exclusive to those called African American. People taking on this persona span the gamut of the so-called races. There are many who are vying for a seat at the table that will distort facts, twist truth, and do whatever else they feel necessary to get a bone. Such people are punished though in the middle of the night as they lay in bed and are left with their lonely thoughts. They are visited in their dreams by the demons of the crimes they commit against there brethren for a loaf of bread or a nice shiny new car, or a big house in the "burbs". They are plagued on their death beds by the ghosts of the damage they did to society through the weakness of greed. A person selling their soul for financial gain is not exclusive to any so-called race. Michelle Malkin is a perfect example of this concept.

They will do the same thing Hillary does with it, lie about it and spin it, realize it has no political steam, and go commit sepuku because their pathetic attempts at slandering people for things they didn't even say resulted in a major loss of ratings (hopefully on the suicide thing, the ratings thing is inevitable).
