Inside Clinton's Elton John Fundraiser: Singer Amazed By "Misogynistic Attitudes" Of Some In USA

I agree that Elton was way off base with his comment. It's a giant leap of logic to assume that anyone who doesn't support Sen Clinton is a misogynist. Just as it is a giant leap of logic to assume that anyone who doesn't support Sen Obama is a racist. And i'm not too thrilled with a Brit coming here to tell us how we should think and who we should vote for in our own election.

BUT the fact that he is gay has nothing to do with ANYTHING. If anything is retro garbage, that is!!

The fact of the matter is that the rest of the world DOES care who gets elected President of the US. The past 7 yrs have done considerable damage to other countries as well as our own. It is also a known fact that the world body generally knows more about American politics than the average American (shown by some of these posts).

That having been said, Barack Obama has won the Democrats Abroad vote as well as is most favorably received around the world. His candidacy has raised opinion polls of our country and receives a great amount of positive attention.

Whatever happened to those of you who post these hateful, negative, and personally destructive blogs? Every harsh word is a reflection on you, not Hillary. It's overkill; it's inaccurate; and it's completely self-revealing. Elton John and Hillary Clinton are not the problem. The problem is that Obama supporters, like those who blog here, justify their support only if they take down the opposition. If you have to take down the opposition, your candidate is not worth voting for.

Two stale relics. Sorry Hillary, but Americans don't take cues from lame washed up British pop stars. Especially ones as pompous and self-flattering as Madame Elton John.

How does a Fundraiser like this Not violate campaign financing laws?
Seems like a lot of the people attending had already maxed out on the $2300/person
limit on donations to Hillary for Primary--assuming, they didn't buy tickets using the
names of children or pets--so how can they keep giving over the $2300 limit?
Even if the money went to purchase tickets from Elton John, how can he give $2.5 million to a single candidate.
Just trying to figure out how this is done legally and in such plain sight.....

Yoi know, before Yahoo shut down it's message boards they had a lot of the same kind of comments posted there every time a homosexual was mentioned in a story. It got to the point where the trolls were the only ones posting on those message boards. Then one day Yahoo just shut them down completely.

Won't it be great when people can really analyze a candidate without being called a misogynist or a racist. I fit right into Clinton's demographic, but support Obama. I don't dislike her because she's a woman, nor do I like him because he is African American. I find him the superior candidate because of a quality that he has that I do not; the ability not to be strident, to listen and to show respect even to people who are philosophically your antithesis. He has inspired me to try to do likewise.

I think if after Rev. Wright the world was asked to stop the condemning and have a discussion about race, the world should be just as willing to accept the idea of starting a discussion about sexism. But that would involve keeping the playing field equal for Sen Obama and Sen Clinton and once again.....look what's happened.

Hillary could probably have won this race if she had chosen to do so with integrity. Instead she chose to polarize on issues and split the democratic party so that now the General Election is going to be a struggle when it should have been an easy win. It becomes more and more clear every day that she is ok with that. She'd rather have McCain win this round so that she can run again in 2012 and that is selfish and disregards millions of Americans who are ready to shed their apathy and believe in our government once again..

If you don't support Obama, you're a racist. You see it on these boards every day. It's the same attitude, so many of you are real hypocrites.

It will just get louder as the election gets closer and the reality that Obama has no chance of beating McCain becomes more and more obvious. You'll be lashing out at everyone everywhere.
