Hard times may have settled over Wall Street, but campaign cash from banks and securities firms has flooded Washington as Congress and the White House gird for a regulatory revamp of the financial industry.

The Democrats' 2006 retaking of Congress and perhaps the heated presidential race have sharply tilted Wall Street donations toward Democrats, though nearly every politician and both major parties are recipients of this largesse.

Data gathered by the Center For Responsive Politics, a nonpartisan Washington group whose opensecrets.org Web site tracks political giving, reckons that the banking-and-investment industry is giving nearly twice as much to Democrats as to Republicans in the 2008 cycle.

The vote for the Dem vs McBomb will be about that as well

but if it's Obama, they may have to cheat. That is the reason

the MSM is trying to sell this as a close race. The MIC must

come out the winner & the Crusade for Muslim Resources

must continue. OIL and WAR support America's economy.

In fairness, there are currently twice as many Dems in serious contendership for the White House than there are Reps.

This country is doomed. Evidence of the policies purchased by Wall Street is abundant already... go look at the Senate Housing Bill w/ it's bailouts for Home Builders and banks. The democrats had a mandate to end the war and we get a surge instead. No impeachment of the criminals in this administration. Earmarks slightly smaller than the Republican pigs that preceded them.

I doubt it matters who wins in November, because you really can't tell the parties apart anyway. And the cause is obvious: both parties are bought and paid for by the same money interests. Our role as voters has been reduced to choosing among criminals whose pandering we prefer over the others'.

We can only HOPE that there will be an opportunity for CHANGE!

Well, betting on the big O is probably a lot cleverer than not having hedged their credit default swaps. And what will be Obama's quid quo pro for all this cash?

Since Kucinich and Edwards dropped out, (to make a quarterback analogy) I don't have a dog in this fight. But after almost eight years of hearing that drawling/drooling idiot, just for the sake of my nerves, it would be nice to have a president with an IQ over 90. This leaves out McNasty.
