President Bush says he knew his top national security advisors discussed and approved specific details about how high-value al Qaeda suspects would be interrogated by the Central Intelligence Agency, according to an exclusive interview with ABC News Friday.

"Well, we started to connect the dots, in order to protect the American people." Bush told ABC New s White House correspondent Martha Raddatz. "And, yes, I'm aware our national security team met on this issue. And I approved."

A complicit media, a compliant and fearful Congress and an under informed apathetic US electorate. The blame goes full circle. Throw all of these bums out! Purge Washington.

I still cannot believe the kind of free ride this guy is getting. Bill Clinton (I am not defending him) got impeachment calls because he is having an affair, but G.W. Bush got away with f* the whole country (and many parts of the world).

As Rudy would say...9/11. 9/11. 9/11. 9/11. Terror, terror, terror. People are so paralyzed by fear and distracted by media misdirection that they will confuse tyranny as necessity.

To all of the necons, republicans, etc. out there: I'd like to reverse the oversimplified torture scenario:

An American Black Ops or other operative is captured by a terrorist cell. He has knowledge of a bomb set to go off in one hour which could kill a high ranking member of Al Qaeda. They employ torture in an attempt to try to find out the location of the bomb (it could even be a nuclear one).

Would he:
A) Tell them exactly where the bomb is?
B) Endure the torture for as long as possible, then tell give them the wrong location to throw them off long enough for the bomb to go off?
C) Allow himself to be tortured to death without telling them anthing?

If you chose A, you're in the Bush Cabinet.
If you chose B or C, ask yourself: can't our enemies do that too?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:33 PM on 04/13/2008

That's why torture would never work in that scenario, especially with people who have a martyrdom mentality.

It took me a second to get over your screen name. As soon as I saw Neocon a gut reaction kicked in, but then the substance of your post actually made sense.

I agree with torture, the more the better. All Dick Taters do it.

And my best pal is Decapitator in chief Prince Bandar, so there.

GWB.

Didn't this guy swear on the bible to protect and preserve the Constitution of the United States from all foreign and domestic enemies???????? What the man is doing is clearly against the Constitution. It's obvious he lied to the American people on that too! What is he still doing in office???????

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:31 AM on 04/13/2008

Look you numweds, we don't torture. I told you that. We enhance entorrogations, that means make 'em better. We have emergency rooms, too. I told you that, too. So stop complaining, too.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:02 PM on 04/13/2008

Right: everyone knows that you can get someone to give you the information you need to know by torturing them.

Whether or not it's the truth.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:10 PM on 04/13/2008

There is no evidence they've done that.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 03:18 AM on 04/13/2008

Speaker Pelosi said she would impeach if there was a good reason for it. I guess that means Dubya would have to walk into the House Chambers and open fire. Then, maybe then, she will move forward with impeachment. So there's always hope. : - /

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:50 AM on 04/13/2008

Speaker Pelosi should be thrown out of office, and Bush is not aware of anything but the sound of his own voice!!! He thinks it's awesome, which goes to show what denial he's in!!!!!!

Way to go George, Whats the difference in harsh Interrogation, and useing your on poeple as shields to deliver their strapped on bombs to blow up mostly their own people. Your all Idiots, to think waterboarding, or anything is harsh treatment to use to try to stop the people, that want to die so they can have 72 virgins, all they will have is about 30,000,000 whores, because their not going where there are virgins. Their going straight to hell.

Thanks for the admission, Mr. gWb. Read him his rights. Let the courts decide whether he has the capacity to "be aware" or not. On with the War Crimes trials, now!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:27 PM on 04/12/2008

There you go folks, he admitted to war crimes now wake up...they can do this they can do 9/11. They are evil...wake up.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:12 PM on 04/12/2008

So true!!! Haul this entire administration to the War Crimes Court and let us then finally get our good name back. When one of our military is captured and exposed to waterboarding, this administration has behaved in such a way as to say that behavior is fine. Imagine that. they are true criminals.

I wonder if Cheney, Rice and the rest of this group somehow thought they were within the bounds of the law, ethics and morality because they prescribed exactly how much torture could be inflicted? I wonder if any of them thought to view the tapes of the treatment they ordered, just so they would have an idea of what was actually happening?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:00 PM on 04/12/2008

Wow! Enhanced Interrogation Techniques what a fancy name for torture. In order to protect USA and be safe we must attack Iran then North Korea then China then Venezuela then Cuba then Russia the.. in fact we must conquer the whole world in order to be safe.
We can always invent excuses to attack them. Like you possess wmd that can attack US in the near future say ten, fifty or hundred years time or you are not a democratic country or you are not with us.
Pre emptve strike shall remain a US option.

George W. Bu$h...W as in WAR CRIMINAL. The past has repeated itself with the Bu$h family again.

Will we EVER learn? Not with 28% still thinking he's doing a good job. War profiteering and TREASON, the modus operandi of the Bu$h family.

When we speak of war crimes, shouldn't we include Pelosi's name? At the very least what would it take to impeach her along with the criminals she is protecting, for what ever reason she is protecting them?

'w:'

The president whose legacy is torture, unlawful detainment, denial of habeas corpus, rendition, unjust war, unprecidented debt, unregulated domestic spying, unregulated and lawless mercenary international murderers, unprecidented expansion of the federal government, demolition of protection for the environment, denial of global warming, a 'tricledown' induced stagflated depression, the elimination of the middle class, tax cuts for the rich, and the demise of the GOP.

See the chimp face in that picture. You have that lapsy, the supreme court to thank for that.

The supreme court. They are a fortress of untouchables. If you can stack that deck you are golden and that is exactly what American Industry has succeeded in doing. What was once one third of our balance in the "check and balances system" has become the ace in the hole for industry. It was like when the godfather declared, "now we have one of our own in the white house".
The fascist corporations in government can now declare, "We now own the supreme court."

If what you have seen so far isn't enough to convince you, just keep watching!

This is a situation that must change!!!

George Bush ¦ War Criminal

You would think I wouldn"t have to say more. That we have all heard the news. That we all knew what was done was against the law - both domestic and international. One day, maybe soon, we all will know. One day, maybe soon - we"ll see our 43rd President, along with current and former members of his administration, hauled before an international court for crimes against humanity in time of war.

Part 1 of 2

Having this man say this, in the open, is his attempt to sink a dagger into the breast of the Constitution. And if no one cries foul, in the legislature, that is exactly what he will achieve, the death of the Constitution. If this stands, there are no longer three (actually four, but more on that another time) houses of government, only one, the executive branch. It will make the laws, or break the laws at will, and they will continue with the ruination of the justice department and the judiciary itself.

This man has openly admitted to torture. He calls it something else, but he's a liar, and you will never get a true word out of that mouth. He claims his solemn duty is first and foremost, to protect the American people. I'd like to know where, in his oath of office, there was any mention of that. Let's take a look, shall we?...

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Nothing in there about protecting the American people. Gee...he lied...go figure?
