Thirty miles west of the Taj Mahal, on the road to the pink city of Jaipur, tourists on buses pass a sight that the guide books rarely mention.

A mile beyond the town of Bharatpur in Rajasthan, where the highway is being widened to four lanes, traffic slows down for roadworks. But the workmen who lounge by their bulldozers have their eyes on something else - a cluster of makeshift shelters where girls, several under 18 and at least two younger than 15, can be seen strolling or sitting, in view of the dusty carriageway.

Tonight, one girl in particular is attracting attention as she sits on a stool by a fire so that she can be seen by passing vehicles. Her heavily made-up, striking face and beautiful pink sari make her look as if she were on her way to a party. But the truth is different. Suli, 14, is a virgin and a bidding war is being held for the right to be the first to sleep with her.

And to think, this is the country we have outsourced a lot of our jobs to. I suspect, however, that a lot of pimps in this country would do the same thing if they could get away with it.

Human trafficking or slavery as it's better termed is something that MUST be eradicated in order for our species to grow into its potential. On a lighter note and with all due respect to the two young girls, my lord they look freakishly like the Olsen twins.

There's a great movie about child sex trafficking in the United States called "Trade". Kevin Kline stars and is outstanding, although very different than in anything you would have seen him do before.

This is not for the faint at heart; it is horrific and disturbing. I warn you that you will not enjoy this movie, although it is certainly worth watching if you believe this sort of thing only happens in other countries.

Its hard to imagine how any so called civilized country could hold any kind of diplomatic political meetings with peoples in the east. Their views of humanity and morality are so different. They put their children up for prostitution and sell thier boys for a dowry, and we have heard what they do to their mothers when the father dies. Just put her out on the street. I think we have a long way to go before we can expect any kind of real peace in the world. Oh and they pretend to be so "religious" making food offerings to gods who will never eat it when their countries are starving. I just don't get it.

Thanks to British Christians for invading India and undermining India's pious culture, leaving it a shell of its glorious former self.

Five hundred years ago, India was so advanced that America was discovered by Europeans trying to get there. After British rule, you see the result.

Yeah, and India was a paradise before the British came. You can blame the British for a lot of things, but that is not one of them. If India would use family planning like China does than maybe poor parents wouldn't have to sell their daughters into prostitution.

Oh, China is a good example?

I wonder how many infants are murdered each year in China because of their "family planning."

Any man doing this to any woman should be castrated, neutered, put to sleep.
