Hey Harry"I can't" Reid, thanks for the continued lip service. Why don't you and your worthless cohort, Nancy Peloser, crawl back into the sewer you skulked out of.

I have a legitimate heartfelt well-meaning and honest question:

What has Sen. Harry Reid done lately for the American People, or for the Democratic Party nationally...

...anything?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:06 AM on 04/16/2008

Answer, NOTHING!!!! This man is a prime example of the old time status quo party leaders who need to be replaced. Please Nevada, find someone in your state who represents your interests instead of their own.

Harry, just shut up. You're nothing but an exhausting windbag enabler.

Okay. Now we know what makes him bitter. So, what is it that makes him so lacking in political guts?

You have to give it to him, Harry Reid has a sense of humor. Who knew?

The problem with Obama is that we don't know who he is. We know he is for change but what changes will he make. He naively says that he will reduce the windfall profits from the oil companies. That, my friend is laughable. The oil companies are probably looking for a loop hole now.

Obama says he will look for alternative energy sources but never gives us the details.

Obama sys he will improve education get more money to the schools but schools get their money from local taxes. Is he going to change this structure?

We need a president who understands the establishment in DC first. That has the leadership, strength, determination and experience to make changes that are real and material to our lives.

But we do know who Hillary is and I want no part of it. She flip flops more than any politician has ever done. She signed for the war yet she admits never having read the NIE Report, guess she
was too tired. She also signed the Kyl/Lieberman Act and no one called her on that yet, wondering why. She also does not care about your rights for having signed the Patriot Act TWICE. She condones torture for having signed the military commission act. She now says all the right things,
embellishes it but that will be the end of it. She had 8 years in the senate and done nothing for
the people but enabling Bush whom she now bashes. Had she only objected once I would forgive her, but she did not.
Vote Obama!

I agree with you if what you are saying is that Obama is a risk because we don't know how good he will be. If you are happy with Hillary, who you know what you will get since there will be Bill to help her, then go for it. For me, the difference is potential. As you said there is a risk that he will turn out to be a chump. But from what i see the potential for greatness is so big, that to overlook this once in a lifetime candidate would be a grave mistake. He has ticked all the boxes. Empathy, worldly view, first class education, populist cv, time in the senate. His campaign has run rings around Hillary's (much more established) campaign. For me this is evidence enough he will do a better job than Hillary.

I'm sorry, but I've heard details from Obama on alternative energy and how he wishes to expand on these and other things. He also said he will make sure that every college student gets a $4,000 stipend each year and all they would have to do is some sort of community service and would never have to worry about paying it back in cash. He wants to invest in our youngsters in making schools better and more equipped with what they will need to progress. He wants to pay teachers higher salaries for those who have inspired their students towards achievements. He also wants to return arts to the schools so children can learn and particiate in musical instrumentation lessons and other forms of the arts. Finally, he wants to change the establishment in DC to one that cares more about the people instead of the special interests. I hope this helps you understand what his intentions for the people are.

Do the coal industry magnates and their lobbyists on his campaign staff know about his plans for alternative energy? Maybe coal is his recommended alternative to oil? You've heard (apparently not read) the details of his plan. Could you provide those details for us?

I agree. He is acting as though we know him. We all should know he isn't the typical leftist elitist who never wins. Alas, he is certainly acting like one.

The latest is his negative campaign about Hillary and lobbyists.

Yet, Obama has hidden his ties. This is USUALLY the end of the road for any candidate when they get caught lying so boldly.

Will he talk his way out of this........again?

Obama is NOT A liar, I'm sorry to say. His donations from individuals who work at any company can NOT be held as donations from the company. That is law and that is legal. So he did not lie. And he hasn't hidden anything. His donations are all over the web and lists who they are from. That link is just another form of hype and rhetoric to try and make the people think he is lying. You can find out for yourself if you do your own investigation and stop believing everything the MEDIA organizations try to tell you. They are very baised and brazen with untruths and misconceptions.

Also here is a video where Hillary says she will continue to take money from lobbyists themselves, not employees of companies.

So, the 38 lobbyists on his fund-raising committee, the others in other staff positions and those serving as state chairs of his campaign are protecting him from corporate money. Too bad they weren't around when he was a state senator taking money from the health insurance industry while helping rewrite a bill to their specifications. Obama, Clinton and McCain are all store-bought candidates: Tweedle-dee, Tweedle-dum and Tweedle-geezer.

Good link. Amazing BO continues to skate under the radar. He's a hypocrite and a typical politician, not far removed from the critique he levies on HRC and the other guy.

That's news to you? We all know Obama takes money from employees of oil companies. Most employees of oil companies are blue collar people, and i don't see any conflict of interest for Obama to take money from blue collar voters.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 11:09 AM on 04/16/2008

That is not a good link because it says that he has NOT taken money from companies himself. What it doesn't say is that Hillary and McCain both have taken money DIRECTLY FROM COMPANIES, excluding their employees which is not in question. On this video, she says she will continue to take money from lobbyists. Remember, lobbyists represents major companies so that means they want something in return. That's why Obama doesn't take money from lobbyists because he doesn't make UNDER THE TABLE deals with companies. He only takes money from company EMPLOYEES. That's the difference which seems to make a lot of people totally confused.

Harry ... All in all, you and Nancy Pelosi are just Another Brick in the Wall.

The wimpiest, cowardly and back stabbing Democrats in power.

Americans are bitter with you and Nancy at the Helm. And we are bitter that Hillary wants to muck our country up further.

Do the god damned job that we demanded of you!

Which one? The one where they were supposed to end the war? Remember, they really don't have a majority in the Senate because of a certain ex-Democratic Senator from Connecticut who is hell-bent on becoming a vice-presidential candidate, again!

Say, for instance, that the House actually votes to impeach Cheney and Bush. Okay, fine. Then it goes to the Senate where functionally, the Repulsives have a majority and will be presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, someone who owes his position to Bush and Cheney.

So then we waste a bunch of time, and no one knows how to waste a bunch of time like a gaggle of lawyers, ,and in the end all we've got is a bunch of wasted time and no possibility of nailing the Rove(r) Boys after they leave office because of double jeopardy. Just like Bill Clinton. If they had waited until after he left office, they could have sent him to jail for perjury, but because they wanted to nail him in high theater, he walked away scott-free.

Look at everything Congress has sent to Bush to be signed and has been vetoed. That's why nothing is getting done.

Indeed. Let's get a sweeping majority everywhere and then we can talk about impeachment. Obama has already said he will be looking into doing this.

Harry Reid and the rest of the Democratic Leet are annoyed by the Clinton campaign's decision to drag this out.

Is there any point to the Hillary campaign?

Sen. Reid, you make me bitter. You and the rest of the cowardly members of the senate and congress who allow bush and cheney to commit one crime against humanity after another. You all make me bitter as you sign on to yet another war with iran they will start before leaving office. You make me bitter for you lack of support to real trouble spots around the world. You make me bitter over all that you choose not to do. You collect paychecks for doing nothing, and the American people and much of the rest of the world suffers because of your lack of courage and action. Oh, there is indeed bitterness in America, and most of it is directed straight at you and the rest of Washington.

Sen. Reid, I understand the concept of bitter, have for many years now. Be sure now that you remember the bitter feelings and who really caused this emotion, and who continually takes out attack ads and harps on Barack constantly, a continual state of upheaval and Drama, resembling her Husband's administration, who goes through every possible mathematical delusion of the Day. I just hope you remember this ,Sen. Reid. Cast your ballot carefully. Many Thanks for your record of public sevice.

Given his previous position on gun control, I had already marked him down as "bitter".

Does this mean he'll work to expand my Second Amendment right to include IEDs?
