Keith Richards: I DID Snort My Dad's Ashes

A year after saying he snorted his dead dad's ashes, but then took it back, Rolling Stone Keith Richards, 64, has confirmed the intake.

"I opened my dad's ashes and some of them blew out over the table, just because of the suction of the lid, you know what I mean?

"I looked at my dad's ashes down there and - what am I gonna do? "Do I desecrate them with a dustbin and broom? So I wet me [sic] finger and I shoved a little bit of Dad up me[sic] hooter.

"The rest of them I put round an oak tree, which is coming up a treat. And I'm sure he's still blessing me," he told US music magazine Blender.

Last April, Richards told another music magazine he's snorted his dad with cocaine:

The Rolling Stones axeman revealed to NME, the British music magazine, that he once snorted the remains of his own dad, Bert, leavened with a bit of cocaine to make it go down easier. "He was cremated and I couldn't resist grinding him up with a little bit of blow. My dad wouldn't have cared ... It went down pretty well, and I'm still alive," says Keith.

At the time a Rolling Stones' spokesman claimed Richards was joking: "It was an off-the-cuff remark, a joke, and it is not true. File under April Fool's joke."

I used drink, and I was a heavier drinker. Thank goodness I never harmed anyone, but some of the shit I did only makes me cring when I think about it. I can believe he did it, Keith is one hell of a character, and one hell of a substance abuser.

Keef is the man! His life has comprised of adventures a common man could only dream of. Sure it sounds like a druggie, wastoid thing to do but think about it. What better way to honour and respect your father than inhaling his remains and allowing him to live on through your body. His cremated remains mingling with your fluids and life blood. Anyone who has a problem with that or a problem with Keef and the way he's lived his life is a truly shallow person who probably cannot truly appreciate the things that life has to offer.

It's only rock n roll but I like it, love it, yes I do.

Those of you pissing on Keef should find some meaning in your own lives. This man has made a positive, significant contribution to our culture, bringing joy to millions with his music. While Mick may be the business leader of the Stones, Richards is the soul.

The old joke of who would survive a nuclear winter...bugs and Keith Richards seems even more applicable to Keith after seeing his recent photos and interviews. Even after all the abuse he's placed on his body, he just seems to go on and on and on. I think that a valid study of his genetic makeup would be worthwhile.
