TPM reports on the Clinton campaign going negative:

In case you needed further evidence that the Clinton forces think they have to go all-out against Barack Obama in order to rack up a significant victory, the American Leadership Project -- the 527 group set up by Hillary donors and big unions to finance pro-Hillary ads -- has a new spot up in Pennsylvania ripping Obama on health care.

This is on top of Hillary's own ad campaign, which we've shown to be 100% negative at this point in most of the state.

Watch her new ad below:

She can't have it both ways
On one hand, She is trying to act compassionate about the 15 million people that Obama is going to "leave out" because he won't force them to buy health insurance.
On the other hand, she is trying to rile up the rest of America by saying that those same 15 million people will be leeching off of their tax paying money.
How can she immediately contradict herself in her own ad, and get away with it!!!
And furthermore, isn't the point of universal health care that nobody needs insurance because the government gives it to them free? How is forcing people to buy health insurance a path to everyone getting it for free????

Weren't the pundits saying that Mark Penn was the source of all the negativity? This tends to debunk that myth. The ability of the Clintons to channel ill will like a vortex could make Karl Rove jealous.

Now there's a winning tone for Democrats, "vote for me, I'm the lesser of two evils".

Hillary is an unhappy woman. She's extremely bitter and combative. It's hard to imagine having that disfunctional couple back in office. The chaos and divisiveness of Bill Clinton's presidency was legend. Once was enough.

"This is on top of Hillary's own ad campaign, which we've shown to be 100% negative at this point in most of the state." -- WTF? Isn't that like a wireless phone company claiming their network is always working most of the time?

Regardless, considering Hillary's campaign seems to be focused around the theme of "Hillary for President", it's little wonder they're heavily loaded with negative ads. Seriously, what's Hillary's message? Near as I can tell, it's "Vote for Hillary Clinton because she's Hillary Clinton". You can't run a whole campaign on that. It's sufficient for her base, but everyone else would like to hear an actual theme. You know, like the theme of hope and change your husband used in '92 (and your opponent is using now).

She said she wouldn't, but she is. Same thing with the two states she agreed to not be counted. I trust her daughter more than her

On one hand, she downplays the pledged delegates by saying that they can end up picking whoever they want to and that the is no such thing a "pledged" delegates.
But on the other hand, she plays up that it would be an outrage if we don't get to pick delegates from Michigan or Florida.
You can't downplay the importance of delegates and then immediately throw a fit about Michigan and Florida's right to pick delegates!!!

Hillary is a lying, divisive woman who should not even be a Senator let alone be running to lead this country. She a corrupt racebaiter who could care less about the poor in this country. She is busy slashing and burning because she can't bring herself to accept defeat; it is like being cheated out of a deal she made with Bill to stick around after Lewinsky and all the Bimbos in return for POTUS. She is a crook of the worst order.

What is wrong with negative ads? That is not exactly something new in American politics. If the ads ring true...negative is good.

Read between the lines a little and you will come to understand that hillary has nothing positive to say about herself, so she tries to destroy anybody that is in the way of her power lust.

hillary is an evil, sick, twisted lying pervery who is mentally unstable and is not qualified for POTUS

Did I miss something? Is it not correct that Sen. Obama's plan will not cover 100% of the people and that by everybody's account, even his own, there will be about 15 million people that will still be uncovered? Also, what's negative about encouraging people to CALL Sen. Obama's campaign and urge them to reconsider their plan? Jeez, if this is what Sen. Obama's supporters consider negative ads they are in for a rude awakening when the Republicans get going!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 09:43 PM on 04/16/2008

How is it negative to point out policy differences?? Independent institutions have confirmed that Obama's health care plan would leave out 12 - 15 million people. It is not negative to point this out.

It is misleading. Under Hillary's plan, there will still be uninsured. For example, if you have a couple, say the man is retired and under social security/medicare, and the wife is near retirement but unable to find work, and they are barely getting by, she wants to force payment for insurance...but from where? And if they can't afford it, she wants to fine them. Then what?

Actually in cases like that there will be govt. subsidies, but why even bother to fact check your posts.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 07:25 AM on 04/17/2008

Oh, well as long as there are SUBSIDIES, being forced to contribute to the coffers of private insurers is completely okay.

Well thhe debate if it is a real one might change some things or nothing at all. The ads by an outside group shows where she is after all this is much toward the end for the group to start something. I would have thought if they would do anything it would be before this. The 100% negative is a hoot as when has she been positive? Maybe at one debate she was nice then the shame on you got thrown at the crowd. I would love to see the HH Hillary go down rapidly and with the supers doing the bombing but only in my dreams. I weigh every day the super delegates don't do anything as yet another day my resolve to never support any of them in the future. The Hillary group has already handed so much material to the republicans we ought to be able to impeach her out of the dem party or some such action. Can't we do something about her?

Negative ads??? Well, what's a poor lady to do...she's not allowed to stretch the truth about herself; most of what she criticizes Obama for, it's being shown she has done as well; she has really nothing unique to offer, her campaign is in the tank; and she can't control her husband's foot in mouth disease. C'mon...give her a break...let her go out in Clinton "style."

The HuffPo headline is false.

The article referenced is entitled "Hillary-Backing Group Launches Ad Ripping Obama On Health Care" and it links to an article that says:

A bit more than 1/2 of Pennsylvanian households are seeing a positive ad and a negative ad.
A bit under 1/2 of Pennsylvanians households are seeing only a negative Clinton ad.

Sen Clinton's supporters are right. America must have a leader like her in the WH! America needs her experience to see us through the smoke & mirrors of the past.

Heres a short video to prove my point.

Senator Clinton started the primary elections with more advantages than any candidate on either side. She had the name recognition and started with a sizable number of super delegates. She was way ahead (60% to 16%) in electability and other metrics. Today, her negatives outscore her positives, 58% of the people do not trust her. A recent poll in Michigan, shows her loosing to McCain by 9 points while Obama beats McCain by 2 points.
At this point, she is running out of time and out of arguments to justify her candidacy. If she doesn't exit gracefully, she will not only loose the primaries but she might also loose her reputation.

I wish Hillary's supporters would simply take a moment to answer the following question.

If Mrs. Clinton were elected President, how much respect do you think other world leaders would have for her? Be truthful, please.

To be honest with you guys, Clinton nor Obama will never become the next POTUS. Clinton has divided the party. I know for sure that I would never vote for her and there are many that would never vote for Obama. If she beats Barack, that would be all she has, because 60% of americans hate her and feel she is distrustful.

The odd thing about this ad is the when it says:

"Call Barack Obama and tell him to support Health Care for Everyone"

It gives the impression of lobbying a presumptive nominee.

Why else would one need to call him on this subject. ?

The Beginning Of The End

When personal stump attacks on your opponent don't work... When the MSM helps to attack your opponent, & it doesn't work... When your own words come back to haunt you... When only 31% of Democrats nationwide now see you as unelectable (Washoington Post 4/16/08)... When your other attack ads are exposed with a voter not even registered in PA, well...

You know you're on your VERY LAST LEG, and you throw a hissy fit.

The Hillary We've Come To Know.
The Jed Report's new video, in Hillary's own words with images of her saying them, will be the final nail in her political career, not just her campaign.
