Barack Obama's comments on small towns have not been lost on his campaign. On the heels of picking up three superdelegates yesterday, today they announced the endorsement of superdelegate Reggie Whitten from Oklahoma. Whitten makes sure to speak positively of Obama's connection to small town voters three times in a single statement.

"I have decided to endorse Senator Barack Obama and will work wholeheartedly to see him become the next President of the United States. Some say there is no particular need to endorse at the present time. However, I believe this is a defining moment, not only for our Party, but also more importantly for our country. Therefore, I made the decision to commit now.

"While deciding to support Senator Obama, I thought of my history and my future. I'm from the small town of Seminole, Oklahoma: a city that is predominantly hard-working middle class citizens. It is important that our next President keep small towns like Seminole in mind when he talks about our economy. I am very sincere in my belief that Senator Obama will do just that. When I talk about my future, I, like most people, think of my children. The next administration will have a great deal to say about their future and the world they inherit. As a parent, I am confident Senator Obama has the courage, skill, and experience necessary to lead America forward.

"Whether it is his willingness to tell corporate America what it needs to hear instead of what it wants to hear, restoring America's standing abroad, or inspiring young Americans to commit themselves to public service, Senator Obama's message is equally refreshing and inspiring. It is no coincidence that voters, especially young voters, are turning out to vote in record numbers.

"As we move closer to the convention and, from there, to the general election in November, I am certain Senator Obama will continue to build a broad coalition of Democrats, Independents, and yes, even Republicans. He unites us in the belief that without change in Washington, we as a nation cannot begin to address the challenges and opportunities of our future.

"In conclusion, for these reasons and many more, I'm proud today to stand with Barack Obama and his growing movement for change."

OOOpss!! I meant "when Harry met Sally"...lol

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:26 AM on 04/18/2008

Eerie how much Hillary's "Yes, Yes....YES!" comment reminded me of Meg Ryan's infamous restaurant scene in "Sleepless in Seattle"...you know, where she had an 'air orgasm'? Has Hillary finally caught the Buzz, and is she now having the big "O" over our next President of the United States, Barack Obama? I really hope so...because if all of this negativity, loaded debates, and other assorted lies and shenannigans keep up much longer, all those exited young voters may just start to tune out. Which leaves the door to the White House wide open for McMummy. So Hillary....was it good for you, after so long as the 'Ice Queen'?

No wonder the media pundits think that we are not bitter since the questioning of George and Charlie just shows how out of touch they are with the problems we ordinary people are facing.

Just today, some of my friends at work were informed that they would be loosing their jobs, another lost her house to foreclosure and yet for some reason the media thinks that I care about a person not wearing the flag pin

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:20 PM on 04/17/2008

Makes you want to stick every blasted one of them with a flag pin to wake their stupid a*s up.

(CNN) " From the politics/strange bedfellows file: Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama has won an endorsement from Republican and former Nixon Watergate figure William D. Ruckelshaus.

Ruckelshaus was serving as deputy attorney general in 1973 when he made history as part of the infamous Saturday Night Massacre. He and his boss, Attorney General Elliot Richardson, were fired after they refused Nixon"s order to dismiss the independent counsel investigating the Watergate break-ins.

The former Nixon FBI director and secretary of the Environmental Protection Agency hopes to help Obama defeat Democratic rival Sen. Hillary Clinton in the May 6 primary in Ruckelshaus" homestate of Indiana. The state has been a longtime Republican stronghold in presidential politics.

"Senator Obama"s ability to attract not only Democrats, but also Republicans and Independents, makes him uniquely qualified to build the broad coalitions needed to address our nation"s challenges," said Ruckelshaus in a statement.

Obama leads Clinton in Indiana 40 percent to 35 percent, with a 25 percent of respondents saying they"re unsure who they"ll vote for, according to a Los Angeles Times poll conducted April 10-14. The poll"s margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.

The Obama campaign said it was embracing the endorsement because of Ruckelshaus" "understanding of the importance of transparency," which he gained during the tumultuous years of the Nixon administration, said Obama spokesman Kevin Griffis. Ruckelshaus remains a known and respected name in Indiana, which may draw independent voters to Obama, Griffis said.

It takes a good man to know a good man. He can use all the good help he can get Mr. Ruckelshaus. Thank you.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:20 PM on 04/17/2008

Ruckelshaus was one of the few good guys in the Watergate era. I'm glad to know he's still alive and thinking. Trivia question: After Richardson and Ruckelshaus were fired, who obeyed Nixon's order to fire Archibald Cox? Bork.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:37 PM on 04/17/2008

Stephanopoulos has destroyed any shred of credibility that he has as an "independent" journalist. His ties to the first Clinton Administration should have disqualified him from serving as Hillary's attack dog on Obama.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:54 PM on 04/17/2008

And his comraderie with Sean Hannity alone should have disqualified him. He is a turncoat and not to be trusted. I will never look at him the same again.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:22 PM on 04/17/2008

I fail to understand the Clintons flip flopping on people NOW who they once said were doing a good thing ,is it because Bill USED the black votes every time he won a public office ?Back in 2005 Clinton praised Farrakhan and Al Sharpton for the Million Man March....http://www.amsterdamnews.org/News/article/article.asp?NewsID=4125&sID=3 ,and now the Clintons are trying to use the same people they once praised ,as weapons against another democratic candidate? The democratic party will NOT survive what Clinton is doing to it,but it's always been commen knowledge that the Clintons are 'lean' republicans.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:39 PM on 04/17/2008

She plays both ends against the middle in everything she does. She has no love for the Blacks who are still with her and they are too stupid to see it. She's very cold and calculating and talks so much that most people will believe her hoping that she'll just shut up. From some of her personal conversations, she has used the "n" word on many occasions and the Blacks sniffing at her butt right now probably don't even know that. She is such a two-face.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:26 PM on 04/17/2008

Keep up the e-mails and phone calls to ABC ,express your outrage at this stunt thay pulled off last night. Sean Hannity is having his field day praising George S. and Charles Gibson. Dont let up,thousands have already sent letters expressing their outrage of this ponographic sleaze. Lets have 10,000 more. let them know dont Fu...k wIth American voters.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:00 PM on 04/17/2008

That's why I turned the channel as soon as I saw Sean hannity's face. I hate that a*shole as much as I hate squash:) - Now that's a lot of hate...hehehehehehe.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:28 PM on 04/17/2008

A phone call, an e-mail is simple and a good thing to do. A better way to express yourself, if you are able, is to make a contribution to Senator Obama's campaign. Money is the only thing the media understands. Reward Obama for prevailing under the format. Success is the best revenge!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 06:26 PM on 04/17/2008

I donated for the 5th time last night!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:43 PM on 04/17/2008

I think that is a good idea. After last night he needs to be rewarded.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:33 PM on 04/17/2008

yes and additionally I will be going down to North Carolina to volunteer, Also no more debates they are a set-up . I would rather a PBS debate or a CSPAN debate ,but not these freaks from these network and cable. They are just trying to entertain. The problems of the country are too serious for this God damn nonsense.

WOW--did you see all the complaints?
The site crashed from so many.
Do the complaints equal VOTES?
Looks like they attacked the wrong guy.

Did anyone see the youtube.com video White Haired Women for OBAMA. It is a must see. Elderly women paid a production guy to make the video for them. They said they wanted to be heard and were not familiar with youtube. It is really something to CUTE!

I do believe that it is time for people to boycott all of these tv stations that commit a fraud on the public. Not only should we boycot ABC, but we should also boycott fox news and it's affiliates. You got all of these grown white men acting like 8th graders. Like Sean on this Bill Ayers kick. I do not think that Rev. Wright or Bill Ayers had any place in that debate last night. ABC used their position as moderator to trash the candidates, especially Obama. How do we find out who their advertisers are? I do not think that Obama should do any more debates.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 04:51 PM on 04/17/2008

I will post that information here tomorrow which will include all the corporate owners. I have all the information on all the media stations because they deserve to get their some karma. Maybe we should pick a day every week and don't look at the three basic ones at all (cnn, msnbc, fox) and see how they like the ratings drop. Boy that would make me a happy camper to see them lose so much money in one day.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:32 PM on 04/17/2008

Boycotts do no good at all,but e-mailing the shows sponsors does.Obama won't run from these debates, simply because it would make him look like a coward, which Americans KNOW he is not.It has taken great courage for a Black man ,even tho he is mixed,to stand in the publics full line of vision and stand up for what he believes in and admitt he will stick to what he says ,even if words are added and the words are changed by media hatemongers such as Hannity ,just for rateings. If Hannity is such a patriot and so AMERICAN ,why has he been friends with Hal Turner and Ollie North for his entire career?Courage and dignity are what this country needs ,and Obama has both, even under direct fire from Clinton and the media he has kept CONTROL of himself and reacted in a dignified manner. And weather we like to admitt it ,AMERICANS ARE BITTER.We are tired of working for nothing ,while the goverment spends us straight into a depression with the cost of this war,TWO wars in fact, the one we were supposed to be in and the one we were led into by LIES and YES votes from people that DID NOT BOTHER TO READ THE INTEL reports!!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:12 PM on 04/17/2008

I actually think boycotting - i.e. not spending money - is EXACTLY what will make ABC / Disney wake up! Disney is a 100% consumer-facing company...no consumers (or decreased consumers) -> decreased revenue, which means decreased earnings and decreased stock price. This is a Disney / ABC PR DISASTER in the making.

I have called ABC / Disney's SVP of PR and left a message about this with his assistant. I explained to her that if even 500,000 people boycott / postpone / cancel their summer vacations of going to Disneyworld (presuming that the average family spends only $2,000 there for a vacation) they will lose $1 Billion dollars. If you add on top of that the ad revenue and other revenue losses from other ABC / Disney products that they will lose, they will be really hurting as a company and may see a sudden need to publicly apologize to us the American people and to Barack Obama for the "sham" of a debate.
Also, George Stephanopolous should be fired and Charlie Gibson should be demoted.

$1 Billion is a lot of money (even for a behomoth like Disney / ABC). I say, hit them where it hurts - in the pocketbook. Then, there might just be journalistic integrity again!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 06:18 PM on 04/17/2008

I agree.

I hope and pray that after pennsylvania, the writing will be on the wall and another debate will not be an issue.

From this point on, at least until the general election, debates will be an utter waste of time and Senator Obama will only be providing an opportunity for biased and conflicted conversation.

She isn't dumb ,she just LIES AND THINKS Americans are dumb. The LIE she told concerning Bosnia ,the army enlistment story ,is just a small sample of what will happen IF she wind the white house.I'd vote for Mickey Mouse before I would ANOTHER lying Clinton or Bush.If McCain is our last alternative for President ,I will just mark through ALL the names .Better yet people should just refuse to vote period maybe>Wonder what would happen if Americans just did not vote ?Would it draw attention to the ISSUES and the BITTERNESS Americans feel at this time ?I wonder ......

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 05:44 PM on 04/17/2008

It's incredibly heartening to see how people hae become so politically aware.

Hilary answered the question on Bosnia by saying that she isn't dumb - we know she isn't, no one said she is.

The problem with Hilary is that she thinks everyone else is dumb.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:51 PM on 04/17/2008

This is true. All she has done recently indicates how little respect she and her campaign have for the american people.

It is becoming more and more apparent that the MSM also have little respect for the mentality of the american population.

They feed us any bit of biased information, calling it journalism, and doing it under the guise of "the people's right to know". I believe that after last night, the people who may have previously been eating up this nonsense, have become fed up.

Friday is coming....I'm pretty sure that the plumber has been dismissed. The kitchen, bathroom and guest bathroom sinks have been thrown. I am pretty much expecting Mrs. Clinton to either blow up the house, or the house (of cards) is going to come down on her. It's the 4th quarter and she needs a big play.

SD's slowly trickling in...........................Slam dunk after PA.

PA please don't let the hit job on Obama last night blind and distract you from what is good and true. Aren't we tired of the divisions and the hatred that keeps tearing us apart? Do we really want to nitpick EVERY single association that a candidate has?

I feel like the only people who actually STILL have a problem with Barack are those that wouldn't vote for him anyway. But is ANY undecided voters are out there, please please look at which candidate is more genuine, more honest, more consistent in their message, and running a more organized campaign.

Erie PA. resident here, It's the Pa people who dont keep up on politics and dont read the blogs you have to worry about.
These are the ones that base their decision on 30 sec. comercial spots or rumors of Obama being an elite anti-semetic non-patriotic muslim racist. They also voted for Bush in 2000/2004.
I know, some of my family members are one of them.
We dont discuss politics anymore.

Superdelegates must have seen this video before they made their decision...

Fox News: Rev. Wright like Jesus!!! ----A MUST SEE if you are Obama Supporters
Monday, April 07, 2008

Here's a FoxNews confrontational interview (about 10 minutes long) with Rev. Mike Pfleger, a (white) Catholic priest who strongly supports Rev. Wright by comparing his speech to Jesus.
'What if we took 30-second film clips of Jesus overturning tables in the temple?Or saying you must hate your parents in order to love me? We would have thought him a crazy man?'
Well worth watching and sharing before they pull it:

DAbraha thanks for the heads up on the video it was very refreshing. I bet they did not run this video either by 30 second sound bites, or the full version. Why is Fox News so afraid of hearing the truth. I am so tired of these so called news pundits, who in my opinion, spew a lot of HATE by taking these 30 second sound bites out of context. I think that they along with a lot of others enjoy seeing this country being very divisive .
