What does ABC have to care about? Do they care about the negative response? They are laughing all the way to the bank. I was not surprised by ABC's treatment of Obama seeing that I had already noticed that ABC.com is reluctant to post pro Obama posts or ones that try to explain what could make a man like Rev. Wright to say the things he said. I brought up the fact that many people don't know that we destroyed the secular, democratically elected governments of Iran and Guatemala. Would there be such resentment in that part of the world to us if we had not done what we did in Iran? Would there have been an Ayatollah? Would a civil war in Guatemala that killed hundreds of thousands of people have happened without our deliberate maneuvers? The answer is no. ABC does not post anything that is counter to what the government wants us to know. I believe it is natural for people to conspire, and that is what I think is happening at ABC. If Oprah were to find out, they would be in such trouble.

Amazing numbers huh? No wonder the complaints have been so many so often post debate. ABC out did itself and look at the amount of defending it has to do over such a horrible example of "debate" ever been seen. It will take a whole lot of 'xplaining to do before anyone trust ABC with another debate or will watch it. Watching George and Charlie squirm and defend has been a piece of positive I see for they thought they could go out and do a slam job and let Hillary join in and get away with it. The amount of viewers should let them know what they did wrong and how big it has gotten. They just never saw the backlash coming as they have learned there are a lot of people wanting substance not trash.

A record 10 million viewers tuned in to watch the ABC/DISNEY DEBATE AND after the

first 40 minutes, almost half changed channels seeking intellectual simulation and

watched Big Brother and America's Top Model.

They were the SMART VIEWERS.

ABC/DISNEY PROVIDED THE WORST DEBATE IN AMERICAN HISTORY!

This was not a debate, it was a Hillary love fest. Obama was poised and maintained his class and composure.

He'll make a wonderful President. In spite of the media!

I've watched all the debates and this one was great. Finally Obama got some tough questions and they talked about current issues that people want to hear them talk about. We've heard them talk about the usual issues hundreds of times. This was new and different territory and well done. Hillary came out looking clear, concise and Presidential.

Think about this for a minute. If Hillary should get the nomination, this is the kind of reception she can expect. The press is so busy tongue-bathing John McCain right now; and they HATE her. She's convenient for now, because they want to stop Obama. But come the fall, her patsy Stephanopoulos won't be moderating any debates. McCain and his 527s will be dragging out Marc Rich and all of Clinton's presidential pardons, all of Hillary's lies and misstatements and exaggerations. She won't have a prayer, and McCain will be elected. I understand that you support Hillary. But we NEED a Democrat in the White House this year, and by celebrating this sort of tabloid journalism you are only screwing yourself.

Of course, this is the whole point. ABC is owned by Disney, who is a heavily Republican backed company. This is what is coming in the general and who is better at handling it? Obama came across very weak and unable to spin any of these questions his way. He has to be better at this to win in November. Hillary has won every debate whether the questions were attacks or not. That is what she's used to, and as Obama says, she was in her element last night. She knows how to handle it and come out a winner.

Yeah, I guess if your definition of presidential is petty, opportunistic and outright ungraceful. Every chance Hillary had to try to stab Obama, she made sure to get a hit in. Obama on the other hand kept passing up opportunities to knock her down good over Bosnia...take the pulse, most people see that Obama gave her way more of a free ride.

He is just as negative. Look at the latest negative ad in Pennsylvania from the Obama campaign. He even said that he knows his campaign sends out mail everyday attacking her integrity. He does not have clean hands.

It is difficult to decide who blew the opportunity more ABC or Clinton, but I think ABC wins pole position in the loss column.

Ten million tuned in and I'm sure many were truly disappointed with both moderators. What a crock and waste of time!!!

Americans are concerned about the many issues which they are faced with now...not a pin for a lapel, a Rev. Wright or anybody else. When you mention the word "debate," one beleives the focus will be on those things GERMANE to them.

Lost respect for both Gibson and Stepanopulous. Not to mention ABC!!!! Very sad commentation coimg from all three!

Look at the handshake photo that illustrates this story.

I think OBAMA is giving the little woman the old alpha male "grip and twist" handshake move. Shows her who's boss!

I think last night was terrific . All those viewers got to listen to and learn something about the candidates. All the other debates were on cable, many people don't have. And for once the MSM asked some of the tough questions. There was nothing asked last night that won't be asked again and portrayed in ads this fall in the general election. Regardless of who the nominate is they better be ready. The people have a right to know who they are voting for. NO Saturday night surprises[. Get it all out NOW. Great job ABC.

tISHA, since most of the "tough" questions for the first 40 minutes went to Senator Obama, I wonder why ABC didn't ask Hillary about her summer spent working for a law firm run by Communists - Treuhaft, Walker and Bernstein in Oakland, CA?

You may not have knowh that, did you? Or perhaps, it's unimportant to you.

Quite frankly, I could care less who Hillary worked for as a young college student, but it seems you & other Hillary supporters think it's OK to ask Senator Obama about a man who he was on a board with, who was a member of the Weather Underground, when Barack was a whopping 8 years old...

Questions that have been vetted for months now, instead of talking about $4 a gallon gas, 80,000 jobs being lost last month, a foreclosure nightmare... Yep, ABC really did a bang up job.
