I believe that whether you love your job or hate your job, get laid off or are just in-between jobs, you deserve health care that can never be taken away.

Yesterday, I took a break from talking to the Senate about health reform and started communicating with the American people.

I launched a web video at CareYouKeep.com, with one goal in mind: to get people talking about health reform and the problem of "job lock" -- when you're stuck in your job because you can't afford to give up your health care.

Under the Healthy Americans Act, you're in charge of your health care -- not your employer. If you lose your job, change jobs or just can't find a job, your health insurance is guaranteed to stick with you.

Seems like common sense to me. And to a lot of people I've talked to. That's one reason why the bill's got bipartisan support. Think about it -- 14 Senators, Democrats and Republicans, coming together on a single proposal for universal health care. This could happen, folks!

To make universal health care a reality, I need your help.

Share my video with a friend. Share it with a co-worker.

You can even share it with your boss!

Senator Wyden,

You make me proud to be an Oregonian.

Folks, this guy is for real, an exception to the rule when it comes to "term limits" in Congress. Sometimes you just can't afford to let them go.

So it encourages people to quit their job because they can still get health care? What are the details of this plan, what are the costs and how much is it really going to cost someone?

UBV -- I'm helping Senator Wyden with the rollout of this video. I'd suggest heading on over to CareYouKeep.com for all those details. The Healthy Americans Act is a complete universal health reform proposal - the only one in history to get up to 14 Senate co-sponsors from both parties.

"Under $40,000 income? You'll pay less than you do now. Under $150,000 income? You'll pay about $1 a day more than today for guaranteed coverage."

An extra $365 per year for every member of the middle class, no thanks.

How many people that make $50,000 a year can afford to foot the bill for others?

Universal health care, good idea, no chance of it happening when gas & food prices are skyrocketing unless the plan is to make the middle class people with jobs the new poor.

Great video! With you all the way Senator.

Many people I know would leave their cube farms and become entrpreneurs themselves were it not for the chains of job-tied health insurance. A plan like yours would actually create an economic stimulus in that regard.
