"Jumper" star Max Thierot will replace Henry Lee Hopper as the lead in Wes Craven's tentatively titled horror thriller "25/8."

There were no creative differences between Craven and Dennis Hopper's son, who was set to make his screen debut as one of seven teens haunted by a killer who supposedly died when they were born. The 17-year-old actor contracted an illness common to fellow teens: mononucleosis.

"Wes said he was thinking about pushing the film back but couldn't because of the possible actors strike," said Hopper, who left the project a week ago and will enjoy time with his friends in California during their last summer home before college. "I saw (Thierot's) audition, and he's a talented guy, really flexible, which fulfills the needs of the role."

Hmmm, my post about the illness hasn't appeared so I may have to try to write it again later.

But, Dennis Hopper is a Bushie?! Or just misinformed? "less government ... more personal freedom" sounds good, but its what the republican party USED to stand for. That was a looong time ago. Before Reagan, before Nixon, before any republicans I'm old enough to know about.

Our diets have an enormous effect on our immune systems.

How could they not?

I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that Henry Lee's dad went from Easy Rider to being a Bush supporter ... how did THAT happen? I read an article where he claimed that he morphed from a liberal hippie to voting for Reagan because he believed in "less government ... more personal freedom," and has been voting Republican ever since. Less government and more personal freedom ... with the Boosh Administration?! Dennis, you're having an acid flashback! Which has nothing to do with Henry Lee ... sorry for the rant :P

When I went to college in the 1970's, "mono" was the trendy illness.
Whenever anyone felt tired or stressed out, they said they had "mono."
Then, a decade later, it became "Epstein-Barr" syndrome.
It just means people are stressed, tired, not eating right , not exercising (very important) and not getting enough sleep.

As somebody who spent 3 months in bed with mono during my senior year in high school, I can attest to the fact that mononucleosis is a real disease with no cure (in 1974 anyway) other than bed rest and vitamins.

Mononucleosis is a real infection. Most people get it during their teens. The easiest test to diagnose it is called the monospot. Symptoms include swelling of the lymph nodes (the glands in the neck and the spleen enlarge. )Often you get a severe sore throat and fatigue. Liver function tests and blood counts are abnormal and antibodies to Epstein Barr are created. Most people have had it, but only some get really ill.

The later "chronic fatigue" diagnosis is controversial and only possibly associated with having the virus in the past. It is likely that "chronic fatigue" is a group of different diseases with similar symptoms.

You are very poorly informed yet exceedingly opinionated: warning; with those characterisitics, you might morph into a republican.
You should really get an education about these conditions before you minimize the very real suffering they cause.
Congratulations on what must be your own state of heedless self-centered health, and very sorry to hear about your clueless insensitivity and need to present as an expert w/o any facts whatsoever at your disposal.
