An increasingly firm Howard Dean told CNN again Thursday that he needs superdelegates to say who they're for - and "I need them to say who they're for starting now."

"We cannot give up two or three months of active campaigning and healing time," the Democratic National Committee Chairman told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "We've got to know who our nominee is."

If your state has already voted - tell your superdelegates to "Sh*t or get off the pot"! We don't care who you endorse - just do it! http://tinyurl.com/6njr7e

Howard Dean is scared shitless. He knows he was instrumental in creating the mess in Florida and Michigan. He wants the superdelegates to bail him out.

After what happened to him when the fickle voters ran from because they thought he was crazy, and nominated his opponent, he wants the decision to be made before Obama implodes and he can blame things on the superdelegates.

He can search the Internet just like I can so he knows the Republicans already have enought dirt to sink Obama and he is willing to let the Democratic Party lose as long as he doesn't get the blame. Let's force him to allow the process to play out and determine who our nominee will be.

If either one is determined by the superdelegates for no good reason, the other side will feel cheated.

Obamanation members, this works both ways but Hillary supporters won't riot in the streets. There are other ways to protest that are much more effective and we won't get shot by the Republicans.

I thought Neutral Nancy demanded that Superdelegates not overturn the will of the voters (except for Gov. Napolatino, Gov. Patrick, Sen. Kennedy and Sen. Kerry). Now, Howard "Scream" Dean wants the Superdels to pick the winner before everyone has had a chance to vote? The Dems need new leadership!

Unless I misunderstood Dean, he's asking the superdelegates to make their decisions known as soon as possible AFTER the last primary. It would be suicide to wait until August, allowing McCain to run "unchallenged". But I haven't heard anyone ask for the superdelegates to act before "everyone has had a chance to vote".

Why do Hillary supporter automatically assume that he is telling superdelegates to vote for Obama, he said "Make a decision on someone"!

I am not from Trinidad & Tobago.....but as far as you being embarrassed , don't be, you are as spun as everyone else. The lineage and relationships have been verified by library of congress geneologist, and another New England geneology society verified as well, and as the proof and research is shown...for all to see......Only be embarrassed after you read it for yourself, and thencontinue to stick your head in the sand.....he has 8 presidents (4 alive) in his line 1 VP -Cheney and Mrs Cheney verified it on a talk show, so there is a record of that. further he has 3 senators, 2 congressmen 3 governors (Howard Dean and Jeb Bush are two) wargs.com

howard dean would do well to remember that what HE needs is not exactly pertinent...what's next, is he going to declare himself 'the decider?'...he NEEDS to remember that he works FOR the party, not the other way around...

This smacks of desperation. It looks like he's worried that Hillary will score a big win in Pennsylvania, and Dean is trying to derail her by having Supers pledge before the results come in.

I agree with Nyland8 PA does not matter - He's looking at November and the fact that this is getting reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyy ugly all the way around - she is now an admitted on camera liar, and she has stated that he CAN win, so where does that put her argument to the Supers???

The results won't matter. His lead, in all calculable indices, is insurmountable. If she wins PA, it changes nothing.

It does matter because Dean must believe that a big Clinton victory in PA will weaken Obama there in November. Absolute desperation.

Maybe Dean should figure out how he is going to resolve the FL MI issue before people have to make up there minds. Nice how he wants to make rules up as he goes along.

We have already made up our minds in Florida. I doubt Obama will ever carry this state come November. Dean and his cronies have really made me think twice of belonging to this party. I don't know what happened along the way but this party has gone much to far to the left, I hardly recognize it.

There's nothing to resolve. Only the States themselves can resolve their own violation of the rules. Either they hold sanctioned primaries or they don't.

clinton has to win by huge margins in all remaining contests to come close enough to catch obama by any metric. if she manages to do this, there'll still be a long period of time after the last contest of both camps harassing the supers. each week the campaign has gotten uglier and more divisive, while mccain spends his days raising money & allowing his buddies in the media to help define him as this upstanding straight talking centrist, which he isn't. the notion that there shouldn't be a nominee until every state has voted, ignores how primaries have worked in every previous election. many undeclared supers have already made up their minds but are holding back because of threats or the potential for promises from either side, even if they made their intentions known in the near future, the primaries would still go ahead in the remaining states, just like they always do. the supers are politicians who as usual try to avoid taking a definitive position on anything. at this point the math won't change drastically no matter what happens in the remaining states, the feigned outrage over the supers speaking out and supposedly "ending" this thing, is purely a perception game to keep the issue of perceived momentum off the table. the only person that is benefiting from this messy situation in any concrete way right now is john mccain, his chances of defeating either democrat in november increase with every passing day.

yes but 90% of them have been named. that 10% you single out aren't the entirety of undeclared supers. they don't change anything i said above.

"Half the country hasn't even voted yet."

LOL

Even if that were the case, and it's not, that would just be typical in the primary season. Most years, most of the time, the contest is over long before a large portion of the electorate go to the polls. It is often an academic exercise. THAT is why so many States wanted to change their primary season.

Half the country hasn't even voted yet? So where in the math of 42 of 50 states have voted is this math correct? Yeah more Clintonian math. Here a word problem:

If you land in Russia and are greeted by 1 child with a poem how many snipers are in the hills?
A) 1
B) 15
C) 50
D) 5,000,000

The MSM is sick. That was the most ill 'debate' one could imagine in this ... America's Age of Insanity for the world to witness once again.

We have REAL problems but ABC wants us to wallow in a goofy weird surreal gossip party and forget the Iraq Invasion, falling dollar, oil/gas crisis and new homeless being created daily. I could not watch all of it. George S is a shill and a shameless phony. Once again, another slick NeoCon associate of Hillary's who will do and say anything to keep the power from the public. It was phonier than wrestling.

That was not even close to being a debate ... it was beyond embarrasing.

ABC ... ugly, sick and ignoring America's future. What a waste ...intentionally dragging the Democratic party down to Clinton's gutter level once again. Lies, division, petty gossip ... Hillary's only tools left.

The good news ... the one friend I have who supported Hillary officially bailed on her after that mess.

Enough of the Bush-Clinton stranglehold on our once great nation.

actually there is a scientific way to pick the candidate with the best chance of defeating mcbomb....look at the polls in the key states that the dems have done well in the past and need to win in november. plus factor in the x factor for negatives likely to appear for each candidate between now and november.

How about "scientifically" submitting to the will of the people and giving the nomination to the man favored by most Democrats - in States, in popular votes and in delegates - ??

Shouldn't that be enough?
