Faux News is reporting that Barbara Bush now supports a woman's right to choose. She just wishes she had chosen to abort 61 years ago.

I think she chose to look like her husband's mother. She always had that position on choice, but being a good little wifey while her husband played around, she clammed up.

The most brilliant half hour was Thursday night's "The Colbert Report". Colbert and his writers are amazing talents. They had Hillary, Edwards and Obama each on at different times (and Patrick Murphy as the guest who in any other crowd would have been the standout).

They achieved something you'd think would have been impossible--to have each of the three doing a "bit" that was well-executed comedically and made each of them come across very well. I'm not sure why they edited out the "raise the roof" applause for Obama at the end, but I guess it was some vestige of respect for the "Fairness Doctrine". Anyway, it was a GREAT half hour of television.

A burlap sack full of shit could give McCain a real run for his money. And as for McCains money, he already violated campaign finance laws by using public money as collateral for a private loan in NH. The Straight Jacket Express is out of gas, but the Media will give it a push to keep him in the race. But the people are much more informed than they were 7 years ago. As Bush said, "Fool me once, crap, Fool me twice, go fuck yourself." The Republican platform will get a big F-U from the electorate this year, and the Limbaughs will get hooked on Anti-Depressants and hopefully will ace themselves.

Oh, but he does. Obama will be a wonderful commander-in-chief with the best minds surrounding him, and he won't fall asleep at the conference table.....and he'll vote for the GI bill unlike McCain. Lets get these Vets taken care of. I have never been more ashamed of my country, except of course after Viet Nam. The same thing was done to our soldiers. Obama has a lot more than a prayer. He will do the right thing. God bless all the military families who have given so much to us all. We need to take care of them.

OmiGod! You must be dreamin i f you think real thinking Americans will elect a wacko like McCain who is nothing more than Bush 3! We....those among us who use our own brains---not rely on the idiots like Limpballs, Hannity, and their pathetic ilk ...are ready for change....and I for one don't give a rat's ass what color that change comes in....or if our next president lacks "experience." Look what " Chimpy McFlightsuit" accomplished with all of his "experience!"
Someone has to clean up the mess our "Moron-In-Chief" will be leaving behind in his trail of slime...and Hillary has too much baggage....and Mcain has proven time and time again that he doesnt know his Shiite from his Sunni. He is too old....too ignorant....and a lying flip-flopper!
It will be up to BARACK OBAMA who will get us moving in the right direction....and the neocons will have lots and lots of time to explain how THE DEMOCRATS started this stupid, useless, illegal war . They spend their lives lying....so now let the fun begin. Maybe Hannity will stroke out when Obama is sworn in. That, in and of itself, would bode well for the future of this once great---(until Bush) country! I am counting the days until the "Torturer-In-Chief" faces a war crimes trial. I'm an old man....but I sure hope to hang on long enouh to see that!

Your desperation is showing. This country has finally moved past the ancient, same-as-before past as is ready to embark on a fresh try at a reasonable government of the people, by the people and for the people. The neo-con model has failed in every respect; socially, economically and internationally, and we will dance on it's grave.

I am a sucker for Colbert. He is dead on. Every time.

Best source for political comedy? Hands down the Daily/Colbert block? What are we thinking?
