Gingrich: Left Wing Of The Democratic Party "Admires" American Terrorists

Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News Friday night, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told the conservative pundit that "the left wing of the Democratic Party, frankly, kind of admires American terrorists." Gingrich then went on to say that "they don't mind at all that Farrakhan is anti-semitic. They shrug off Jeremiah Wright."

Gosh - let's see: Eric Rudloph and Christian Identity; James Kopp and the Army of God; Tim McVeigh and Elohim City among other fans; now James Hagee, Parsley, and all the Dominionists who think they're called to kill us all off so Jesus can come again. Make a monster out of the people who might take a little portion of your vast wealth that has been accumulated by shafting the working class and the poor. Play the fear card over and over. I think Newt is alright when it doesn't have to do with caricatures of other people. He is good for understanding policies, but was NO GOOD when it came to applying those 'compassionate' policies to people he did not like.

No one is shrugging off Jeremiah Wright because many of us know the history that informed his perspective. Reverend Wright and his parents probably were part of the largest emigration within a nation in history, when in the mid 20th century millions of black citizens came north to simply become citizens. They came out of such wonderful states as Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Louisiana, et al, all those great bastions of representative government, justice, and fair play. When we talk about patriotism , it should not be define within the prism of wearing a pin flag. But we should consider our we treat our fellow citizens.

When a crime is committed in a house, the police questions anyone who would have any knowledge of anyone involved , this includes first and foremost family members. It would then allow the police to know who knew what and when they knew it.

I think you are wrong on this account. I believe the key is portray him as a corrupt man who hides behind his patriotism. One of the big mistakes that the left always seems to make is not going after the rights ownership of patriotic issues. If we challenge his politics its just becomes about partisanship. If he challenge his character we go after his biggest asset and the place he is most vulnerable. He is a very corrupt politician in spite of what his buddies on the bus have to say.
