I hope they are preparing an ad on the war and McCrazy's desire for "more and longer" wars.

Son of the Johnson "Daisy" ad.

And one on the serial hypocrisy of the "straight talk" express.

Time to take off the white gloves.

Finally. Where are the rest?

Politicians believe if they say the same thing over and over again makes it right and people will believe it to be true. It's call brainwashing. Couple that to name recognition and you've got a candidate. It's all a part of the art of spin.

"Who are you going to believe, the lying facts or me."

Check the MSM the learn what is your latest opinoin. They are doing the same thing.

Was the country better off eight years ago?

Which part of the 90's did you not like -- the peace or the prosperity? balanced budget; huge surpus in the billions; average american incomes rose $7,000; millions pulled out of poverty, etc.

Sounds pretty good............ and who was president then? Let's return another Clinton to the White House. Sounds more than good to me!

But now it's Hillary, not Bill Clinton - and she has shown an inabiltiy to lead her own campaign, let alone the country

bill did not go around insulting the base he needed to win. he did not attack fellow democrats to win. she is no bill.and he had a congress that did its job.

I remember when ads for Ronald Reagan asked the same thing.

While an interesting question it comepletely misses the point. The real question is are we going to be better off four years from now than we are now. Clearly McCain with his continuation of the failed Republican polices and philosophy would have trouble making a case for an affirmative answer, unless you happen to be one of the "Have Mores" who make up Bush's constituency.

We will all be better off as long as we're all dead by the time we are 72 years old.

Excellent ad. My favorite kind, where you use a pols own words against him/her, either by refuting the facts, or having that person contradict him/herself.

Bit will be easy to mount against McCain, seeing how shallow his grasp of the issues is, how violently he supports, and how often he bends his beliefs to suck on party lines.

I am sooo happy to see this... can't wait until this gets rolling on nationwide TV!!!

This should be shown to everyone in America this fall!

And Howard Dean is great. He has made the Democratic Party a national party again.

We are better off than 8 years ago. My husband was laid off and we decided to expand our small on the side business. We are doing much better.

This is exactly what we should be doing in the Democratic Party. Instead, we have to deal with Hillary's distractions and off the wall attacks on our best hope in decades to take back the White House. Every time Obama moves against McCain, Hillary makes some back stabbing false accusation against him, taking him off message against McCain. Hillary has deliberately aided the GOP campaign against Obama, has stated repeatedly that McCain was more qualified to be president than Obama. What kind of loyalty to the Democratic Party is this? When she finally crawls home with her tail between her legs I hope the Democratic Party shows her the same loyalty she has shown. You know, with the Clintons everything is always done in their best interest, from this hateful campaign to NAFTA, China, Colombia, pardons, health care, you name it. It's always about protecting themselves or the special interests that provided them with the hundreds of millions of dollars they have raked in post presidency. Let's hope the Democratic majority in the Congress will be so huge that the Democrats can invite Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton to move to the GOP where they belong.

That's her whole strategy. She's trying to make it virtually impossible for Obama to not get elected so she can run in 2012. Why else would she be in this race still? The Clinton's aren't stupid, they know she has NO CHANCE of winning this time around, so they're doing everything but breaking the law to mar his reputation.

For the last two months, all they've done is do Rove and McBush's job for them...........even better than they would have. The Clinton's have no shame whatsoever and we CAN NOT let them succeed in their endeavor.

After this campaign, I doubt that Clinton could get many backers. She's pissed off too many important Democrats. And the people won't support her after 4 more years of Bushesque politics

I'm pleased to see the DNC is finally confronting McCain. It seems he has gotten a free ride from the media. Why hasn't anyone asked him about his past association with Charles Keating. It seems that did a lot more damage to this country than any interactions Obama might have had with Ayers.

Nicely done ad. Simple, contrasts words with factual reality. It's good. Keep it up DNC. There is plenty more material to use. No need to get personal and dirty when the facts and his positions are such good fodder.

Howard Dean has been the best thing to happen to the DNC in three decades.

Maybe that's why the DLC and Congressional DINOs hate him so...

heh heh

Also contrast with how much better the top 1%-ers are doing, since their buddy George took up residence in the White House. Oh and dont forget how the Oil Coporations have benefitted.... and how Banking and Investment Top-Tier Management is doing....... and all those who are able to shelter their income from US Taxes by banking offshore....

I calculated it one day and we are all spending about $100 a month. For nothing.

Did you figure in the compound interest China will be charging on our debt for the next 100 years, TinaFreeman...?

We're hurtling down the path to third-world "status".

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:55 PM on 04/20/2008

No I didn't, but that is a huge point.

At this point, we owe so much to China they could destabilize our country THIS AFTERNOON simply by dumping all their US debt on the global market.

People should be getting scared by the $9 trillion+ debt...thank you Mr. Bush!

I can't fathom how ANYONE could consider voting for McCain, who promises only to make this situation much, much worse...

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:48 PM on 04/20/2008

If you go with the estimate of 3 trillion for total cost it comes out to be something like $7,500 per an American or $32,000 per an American worker.

george bush and his buddies are just about the only people that are better off than they were 8 years ago.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:13 PM on 04/20/2008

Nope...I'm not better off. In fact, I'm ashamed I voted Republican once...now I'm partly responsible for this mess. But I can help make amends. I can vote Democrat and bring our troops home, make the oil companies accountable, and support a better NAFTA that thinks about American jobs FIRST, even if it means taking it off the table entirely and reworking it from scratch.

Add to that, I'm going to trust in Obama to get that done. Hillary has shown she hasn't used good wisdom with Americans in mind with her history of voting. And in light of her controversies, I can't trust her motivations either.

A final note: Everyone is afraid of running against McSame? My left shoe could beat him, considering how badly the Repukes have screwed this country up. Obama will wipe the floor with him with ease...WE WANT CHANGE NOW!

And yes, I approve of this message.
