When the blogger and prostitute Debauchette was interviewed by Diane Sawyer for an ABC News report, several tricks were used to conceal her identity. She appeared mainly in silhouette, with a distorted profile and a distorted voice. She was identified only as a "beautiful," "highly educated" woman with a day job in the arts. The tricks were not enough, however, to keep Debauchette's parents from figuring out it was their daughter on the screen when they tuned in, as fate would have it, to watch the show. Mom saw Sawyer's report twice, to make sure her instincts had been correct, then fired off an email to her daughter, quoted in a Debauchette blog post:

Diane Sawyer is as tired as Barbara Walters. So glad I can't get ABC anymore.

She says that her Mom reconized her...sounds like she wanted the world to know who she is so that she can now get offers for "The Whole Story." Probably has tape of "Shot In The Back" coming out in the summer.

I particularly like the sex scene that the woman described when I followed the link. It is refreshing to just have sex out in the open so we can all stop wondering what it's like to actually have it.

I don't care if prostitution is legalized. But what is Diane Sawyer trying to tell people. "This can be fun too."

Rant and rave all you want, but kudos to this brave young woman. While I grant that she is the exception to the rule, the fact is that legal prostitution would solve a variety of ills in our f-ed up society. Go ahead, scream "exploitation!" and shake your fist about sexism . . . and then look at the daily dangers an 18 year old Alaskan fisherman braves to bring in about as much money. Or the 18 year old coal miner. Or the 18 year old logger, farm worker, or any number of dangerous jobs that men take. Belive me, most of us would be more than happy to have sex for money, instead of paying (one way or another) to have sex.

Why do I not care about this?

We are on the eve of the most important primary battle of the season and this is on the front page of HuffPo? Once again, HuffPo turns to tabloidism to pay the bills. A waste of pixels.

Why aren't you out there campaigning and going door to door to educate the masses instead of commenting on posts you consider a "waste of pixels"? Oh, I guess that would be too hard for you.

Which prostitute was recognized the interviewer or interviewee?

The good looking one who doesn't make 15 million a year, doesn't qualify for Social Security, is honest about what she does for a living and does the least amount of harm.
