ABC reports that the planned CBS debate for April 27 in North Carolina has been cancelled. Canceling the debate doesn't bode well for Katie Couric, the only nightly news anchor from a network to not host a debate. ABC is also points out - perhaps as a slight mea culpa - that state party leaders have "growing concerns about what another debate would do to party unity." Cleary they don't want another train wreck like last week's ABC debate.

I say let 'em all wrestle naked then put 'em in a pit of snakes and whoever lives we throw in the ocean and he can be king of the fishes. I.e.,no more politicians, no more presidents. Please. They just ruin peoples lives and buy and sell us all.

Good. Don't let anchors or any newspeople moderate debates. As long as they answer to big corporations, members of the MSM can't be trusted to be neutral. Just as we saw with the ABC debate, they will ask questions favoring one candidate over another, the candidate being the one favored by their corporate bosses.

Katie actually has a more important debate to moderate-- the debate between "Les is Less" Moonves and the CBS stockholders over how much longer Les(s) is going to pour megabucks into a sow's ear in hope that it will turn into a silk purse.

That's too bad. She probably would have done a good job. Her questions couldn't be any worse than the ones ABC "smeared" onto the candidates.

Why doesn't Katie dress appropriately (like a news anchor)? She wears these sleeveless tops and frankly her arms have a lot of fat on them. She has nothing upstairs and she is no longer the pretty face on TV that executives like reading the news. She can wear all the lip gross she can put on and no one is going to watch her!

Anyway, who watches TV news? I gave it up years ago! I did watch the debate last Wendesday night and decided that was a waste of time.

That Katie is the only one without a debate to her discredit - allows her to be thought of as a woman on honor and integrity -- since all the others are the dufusses we all thought they were anyway....Once she does take a debate on - then, the acid test will apply. Right now she can feel secure in her job.

No more god damn debates ,they are a bunch of sleazy pornographic frauds. fu..k them.all of them. The debates leading up to the General elections should be no more than two,and it should be moderated by journalists from PBS. There should be a pre-agreement that it would be on issues only. No more stupid questions " do you think your dog can do better tricks than my dog " An issues only debate. ABC IS A FRAUD,LOWLIVES.

...yeah, a great HIT job. I'll never forgive her for what she did to John Kerry, two weeks before the election.

Is anyone surprised?

Couric has had some pretty bad press lately and the thought of her attempting to moderate a debate, and possibly doing worse than George and Charlie, probably has CBS being very wary.

Her time is up. buh bye Katie.
