Former President Bill Clinton, speaking to reporters after his wife's event in Pittsburgh, PA Monday, said that under the republican primary system -- his wife would be ahead by hundreds of delegates.

"I did not actually get the delegates necessary to have a first power of the nomination under the crazy system the democrats have," Clinton said. "If we were under the republican system which is more like the electoral college, she would have a 300 delegate lead ...It's an eternity 'til the general election, an eternity."

Bill, she would have won the nomination in the Republican primary, Bill Scaife.

She would also be leading in the Soviet Union as the only candidate, and in apartheid South Africa as the only white candidate, and so on and so on.

If he keeps saying these incredibly stupid statements, he is going to blow his own legacy among Democrats out of the water. For everyones sake, most notably your wifes, just shut up, Bill.

My suggestion to Bill and Hillary, is join the republican party, you're 90% of the way already. Your
argument is stupid and irrelevant, I'd expect a little better from a former Rhodes scholar.

Funny she acts like a republican and now Bill wishes she was one. The great right wing conspiracy must be over for the Clintons. They are wannabe righties.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:48 PM on 04/22/2008

So, does this mean that Bill wants the party to change the rules -- now -- so they can win?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:25 PM on 04/22/2008

Wow, that's the stupidest metric yet. So why not join the GOP?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:25 PM on 04/22/2008

Come on! Everybody knows that Bill Clinton was the best Republican President since Lincoln.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:32 PM on 04/22/2008

It the rules would have been different, Obama's strategy would have been different and she would have mismanaged that campaign. His campaign is out playing her and would have beaten her anyway. She can only claim victory by keeping score in ways that were not agreed on from the beginning.

Geez Bill and Hill, then join the GOP....your campaign seems to be using their playbook already.
Everything, including the kitchen sink, closets and attic stuff is flying around now.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:08 AM on 04/22/2008

Well, Bill, if that is the case become a flippin republican.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:59 AM on 04/22/2008

Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are both corporate, centrist Democrats. Obama slightly to the left. If Hillary ran against McCain or any other Republican she would barely get any Republican votes. Most of her votes would come from Democrats. If she is a Republican, most Republicans would not vote for her I assume. Dennis Kucnich and the policies he proposed compared to Obama's and Clinton's were true non-corporate progressive ones. I hope the Democratic nominee will make a pledge to cut the military budget at the least.

That being the case, let her remove her yelow coat so the world can see her for what, really, she is: THE GOP CANDIDATE!!!!!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:45 AM on 04/22/2008

His theory has already been proven false. I cant' fin the link, but someone did a study on how Obama's delegate & popular lead would be even more had the caucus states been actual primaries. He won overwhelmingly in those caucuses and if I remember correctly, they formulated that if the popular vote was counted properly (they aren't right now being caucuses). he actually be ahead by close to 2 million votes.

Wish I could find the article. Anyone else?

In any case...

Shut the f*&K up already, Bill. You're bullshit stink to high heaven.

How old is bill? He looks to be about eighty in this picture.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:28 AM on 04/22/2008

She IS a Republican.....

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:00 AM on 04/22/2008

It does beg the obvious question, with all of Hillary's outright Roveian tactics, why ISN'T she with the GOP?...Evil in the 1st order seems to be the M.O. for GOP candidates in the first place...So, yeah, if the party rules were like the GOP, I'm sure she'd be doing better in the campaign.

AP - The New England Patriots have appealed to the Commissioner of the NFL, Paul Goodell, to set aside the result of SuperBowl 42 and declare the Patriots the Champion.

Director of Player Personnel Scott Piloli and Head Coach Bill Belicheck premised their argument on the fact that New England had gained more total yardage in the SuperBowl, which they argued, should be the determining factor in the game, as opposed to total points scored, as NFL rules have dictated.

Commissioner Goodell said he would take the matter under advisement.

My insane antiquated rules are better than your insane antiquated rules. This will all be settled in November, when even more antiquated rules are in effect.

Obama, like him or not, has had the better strategy and organization... isn't that what we want in a Prez? Also, let's not discount that independents couldn't vote in NY.

It almost seems as if Sen.Clinton is running to get Bill back into office! Everyone keeps talking about a Bush third term with Sen.McCain, but what about a Clinton third term (Bill's)? It must be hard for Sen.Obama to have to go up against "Ghidorah" the three headed monster from the Godzilla films in Bill, HRC, McCain!

The clintons and the uber wealthy who consider themselves to be the democratic party finalized the primary rules for this primary season: hillary signed a pledge not to campaign in michigan and florida.

What is the matter with the clintons? do rules not matter for them?

Instead of being closet republicans, why don't the clintons just openly affiliate with the republicans and get it over with so that we no longer have to guess at their motives for machinations in the democratic party.

No problem, Slick Willy. you and Billiary join the republican party and be McLame's "running mates" along w/Liebermann. Both of you act like republicans most of the time and you are now morphing into neocons.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:12 AM on 04/22/2008

So why didn't she run as a republican, which, among other things, is what she really is. Clinton/Lieberman is a ticket that even Richard Mellon Scaife could get behind.

Hah! And I'm sure in Bill and Hillary's shared fantasy of Royal Dynasty, Hillary would have been crowned long ago without all this silly primary bruhaha! Elections? Messy affairs. Just give her the crown already! NOT

I just LOVE the way Hillary agreed to all the Democratic party rules until they didn't help her personally. NOT

One apparent thing not known to the masses prior to this election is the very degree that bot clintons will go to out of a sense of entitlement that I cannot find anyone who knows who gave it to them. Why after riding on the coat tails of Bill and reaping the benifits does she feel she should be crowned or deserve any high position. She might be smart but so are many people and she has so many things in her past prior to Bill that show the same character flaws we see today. She has just learned how to better hide them until they are losing. I think it very odd just how many rove rules they have in their box of tricks when challenged and not getting what they want. Fighting dirty and nasty and lying might get you in the door but too many of us want someone who won't lie to us anymore and wants to bring this country up from where we have been slammed into by the bush/cheney and clintons. When he lied and wagged the finger at me and you on national tv I lost the respect I thought I had for him and she never had any.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:04 AM on 04/22/2008

That's so funny, because Hillary has been running a republican campaign......maybe she's forgotten that she is in the democratic primary and that's been her problem all along. From that vote to go to war, to the cozying up to lobbyists, to attacking her "fellow" democrat, to using Karl Rove's tactics. It all makes sense now. She's a republican.
