Chris Matthew started off the Pennsylvania primary coverage with a bang tonight. Shortly after 6, seated by co-anchor Keith Olbermann, Matthews called the primary, and thus his coverage tonight, basically moot. "This contest is essentially over," he proclaims to Keith. "Barack Obama is going to win the most elected delegates."

He went on to say of the media, "Trying to keep this game going, we've created the delusion that somehow this race is still open."

Flashback:
Obama sends a thriill up Chris Matthews' leg.

When she gives her concession speach, she'll go to McCain and tell him he is to choose her as his running mate, after all she's a republican and he's just a RINO. She's know's if he wins, he'll stay for four years and she'd been in like flint...don't put it past them.

If I don't record anything on T.V. this year, I'll record the concession speach when Hillary gives it. Then I can run it every day and have a toast to the best speech I've every listen too! What a great day that will be.

I'm sure it will be a great hit on u-tube...and will probably be as negative as her campaign. It will be our 'fault' of course that she isn't the nominee and will tell us how America will suffer. She will bemoan the fact that ALL Americans aren't like her loyal core (the brainless sheep who think the MSM is telling it like it is) most of us have brains AND memories of the clintons in action...or non-action. Really, at this point I wouldn't vote for her if she was the only name on the ballot.

Hillary Clinton's 35 years of experience is mentioned all the time but never specified. It is important that she would tell the public all the details about her alleged "experience" so we can finally learn how she was medling in our country's affairs while being the first lady. To my recollection she was very vocal about the health care for everyone issues right from the beginning and then silenced. There is nothing else to remember about her except this and all the investigations in connection with the Whitewater scandal etc. And -not to forget- her "suffering" putting up with the womanizing and cheating husband.
She showed all the suffering women how to have the last laugh-use the cheating husbands, don't divorce them.

The Clinton years may or may not have been good, only history will tell; but, what does that have to do with Hillary? Are we somehow saying that because her husband was a pilot she should be able to fly the plane? Hillary's role in the Clinton administration was minimal. Sure, in a PR role, she did meet some heads of state and gave a few speeches; but she had no security clearance and was never given an intelligence report or administrative assignment. She never administered anything! None of her supposed 35 years of experience was ever anything more than simply being the wife of Bill Clinton.

But where is Obama's? He's the Elmer Gantry of 2008 politics. Or it's like George telling Lennie "about the rabbits." It's his preachy talk. ( Don't you just hate it) . He's giving you another " shining city on a hill." You bet Ronnie. It worked then. Try it again. We can Sleep Walk Through History Again. But, hold on a sec. By gosh BO was a "community organizer", read "midnight basketball. " Horray , jump up and down and swoon. Dont matter that for instance Hillary was named among the top 100 lawyers in the USA 3 times. She was the Eleanor Roosevelt of the Clinton White House. She was the first first lady to have an office in the West wing, the same office occupied for 7 years by Karl Rove because it was the place to sit the most influential person in the White House. The best that BO ever did in a law firm , for 10 years mind you, was to work "under the guidance of one of the associates." He worked "to find jobs for the unemployed steelworkers in Chicago" , whose union endorsed Hillary. And you want him to be the leader of the free world. You might as well stop the first person on the street and make him/her pres. It isn't that HRC has more experience than BO it is that BO has no relevant experience to be in charge of anything.

Let me understand this.
Eleanor Roosevelt a kind, generous humanitarian...hillary clinton, a divisive, self-centered liar.
.What are you comparing?

I have been saying this exact thing for some time. It is getting them tremendous ratings so of course they don't want it to be over. I have done the math every way possible and Obama always comes out around 130 - 140 delegates ahead of Clinton. If I can do it, then they certainly can. They just don't want to reveal this as it will make people lose interest and stop tuning in.

Clearly any sign that she's lost is never clear and obvious enough for someone like Hillary who will not hear of such things.

The only thing that matters to Bill and Hillary is to continue the BFD illusion that they are not quitters.

They would rather look like non-quitters than do what's best for the Democratic party. They care naught what party they are representing. They don't care if they use points from GOP playbook. They are doing the work for McCain and don't seem to care. They have nothing legitimate left to attack Obama with so they start with Karl Rove attacks.

I agree with Matthew, the press just want to sell papers, this contest was over way back on
super Tuesday. Those who believe she can win are either idiots, fanatics or delusional.

Dan Abrams had a good bit on this last night on his show. All three of his experts and he agreed that this is just not true. The election is still going because we have two viable candidates.

Dan Abrams is a Hill-Billy TOOL. You didn't know that?? What kind of "experts" do you think he'd find?

Dan Abrams was on the air screaming about how Hillary had already spoken everything Obama did after Obama's speech on race. BIG TOOL for Hillary.

What "experts"...Pat Buchanan and Joe Scarborough? Look, I like Dan Abrams, but that guy is even more convinced of, and impressed by, his intellectual prowess that either Olbermann or Matthews. And an attorney does not a mathematician make. Furthermore, asking a member of the media, along with their pundits, to offer an honest assessment of the viability of a political campaign, the continuation of which their nightly material or even their jobs depends upon, if probably not the most direct route to truth. The facts are that Hillary is broke and she still have to win something like 70-85% of all remaining elected delegate and super delagate votes to catch up to Obama. That simply is not going to happen.

And of course the Clintons are going to cling to their 1% chance of a legitimate nomination win, because they at stop-at-nothing power grabbers and because they have to keep that delusion driven money rolling in from their supporters to cover their debts and fund the democracy on acid circus that has become their campaign.

Excuse my rant....It's late and I'm finally home after driving back from Philadelphia...."Delusional"? Great observation Mathews, after the votes have been cast. At least Obama's check's have cleared for all his media buys. And this morning David Gregory calls Senator Obama, " ....a terrible front runner". What?! And now, the RNC lets loose with one of the most racist Ides of March adds of the season....We've been here before....I'm for one am stunned to find myself in the eye of the hurricane of cultural evolution...Ever wonder what it was like during the Revolutionary War, Abolitionist Movement, Civil War, Suffragist, Civil Rights....Movements? I imagine there were many who were "clinging"...nails dug deep. Extinction is not always a bad thing....Racism & bigotry should die a horrible death... Well, here we stand....in the streets and in collective cyber space....Just like Obama, we're figuring this thing out. It won't be long....In the meantime, I suggest a very smart, able, & savvy community organizer get the courage to run for New State's Democratic Senatorial seat....It's currently vacant.

I am voracious in my reading....Thank god for credible, assessable, & uncorrupted internet sources of news...How long before the corporations get their grimy hands on this? Who doesn't catch most media? Are you serious? You stopped watching? How? I grab a bit of everything...As much as I can....We have to watch them and let them know we are watching them...I email and call....Tuning out is what they want us to do.... it's happening anyway, behind your back or in front of your face... And we're worried about the supreme court?

Hilary is clearly a republican in drag. Have you noticed how many of her surrogates are appearing on Fox news? It seems the people that really want Hilary to run are the republicans, might want to ask yourself why. If Obama is no threat to them why are they attacking him now in NC and not her? He's getting it from all sides right now I feel that he is showing what wonderful president he will be by staying on message and keeping his cool. I do however believe when he get the nomination, he will be very pointed in his attacks against McCain, as he SHOULD be.
