Last week, after both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama appeared on the Colbert Report, a spat broke out between aides to the campaigns:

"I can't believe it -- he's such a copycat," fumed a person close to Clinton, telling Newsday that the candidate herself said was surprised by Obama's Colbert Nation invasion.

Obama spokesman Bill Burton says his boss was simply taking the show up on its repeated requests that he appear - and that the producers had suggested the Thursday time slot. (Colbert's spokeswoman didn't return calls for comment.) "I'm not surprised the Clinton campaign attacking us for going on the Colbert Report -- since their campaign is 100% negative," Burton said. "But I do have to say this is about the lamest attack they've come up with so far."

On Tuesday, Stephen Colbert played referee, judging which candidate was the bigger copycat. Watch it:

This the sad thing about the runners in this race, like in Cool Hand Luke, what we have here is a lack of commutation. The truth is none of them, as Vice President Jack Garner said, is not worth a bucket of warm spit. We've got three losers runnning, to run the country...is there no good men, or women to come forward?

This lady can't stop stepping in something! She's so easy... she causes her own controversies and drama.

Paranoid, much?

Obama's a copycat?

"Yes she will! Yes she will! Yes she will!"

Give me a break.

My god, will this horrible woman finally curl her loathsome tale between her legs and slink from the political scene in shame at how she's bloodied her party and nation? Oh I forgot, she knows no shame. UGH AND DOUBLE UGH!!!

Go OBAMA!!! YES WE CAN!!

Please exaimine if you may be branwashed by Obama Campaign Talking Points...only works if the person is unaware of it.

Obama has been Switboating Hillary...since last October's MSNBC debate when he took Psychological Abusers Chris Mathews/Tim Russert's challange to attack HIllary as they gave him (and Edwards) 1990s Republican Talking Points to do it with.

That debate ended w/Mathews/Russert trashing Social Security as a Ponzy scheme not mentioning that Bush had just spent $1.5 Trillion of the SS SURPLUS.

Then when the Electorate was waking up Edward made hundreds of ads on GE-TV: "Some si all we need is a Demcorat in the White House. That's a LAA."

Obama has been conducting a frontal assault equating Hillary with verman in the White House, praising Republicans and Reagan ("a trojectory we were ready for")

He's been using Republican PR Frank Lunz's model: "It's not what you say but what people hear" Which should instead be called: "It's what you imply and who you implicate with lies."

Has audacity playing the Race card, colaboration with the Main St. Media...that President who appologized for slavery and moved his office to125th st. in Harlem when leaving the White House, after bing hunted down by the Republicans.

Obama prevented revote in Florida and Michigan while claiming to be Unida not a divida. We had this kind of psychological abuse for 8 years...and longer. As evidenced by the damage.

Will we blame Hillary Clinton for destroying the Democrats' chances in 2008 and handing John McCain the Presidency, thereby ensuring another four more disastrous years in Iraq?

Yes we WILL. Yes we WILL. Yes we WILL.

I too watch Colbert and Jon Stewart, it is a good way to find out what is actually going on. I am white, Catholic and 70 years old drawing social security. Now work as a volunteer in the social services field at a child abuse center. I support Obama over Hillary because he has the wisdom to make the right decisions and will unite the entire country. His Cabinet choices will be wise and Hillary's recent statements on Iran worries me very much. She is too polarizing to be the nominee. also, has anyone put the math to her answers or should I say solutions to the problems we face? Obama has a much better approach to saving the social security system and the many other problems our Nation faces.

We are in desperate need of a change from the Bush policies and I do not see Hillary able to do this.
Bill Clinton was a good President but Hillary is not Bill and never will be.

These are my feelings and what I have observed as I do stay very much in touch with all the political news. Obama is not a Quitter either and he will fight for all of us. He is honest and actually knows the only way the people can change Washington is by the voices of the people and from the ground up as the top will never change unless forced to change by the people speaking out in unison!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 12:55 PM on 04/24/2008

I don't know how Hillary will come up with "solutions for America" when she can't add.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:56 AM on 04/25/2008

The only group Obama is going to unite and bring together is the Republican party and conservatives.

Yes, we are desperate for change, but isn't a female President change? We need change, but we need stability as well. So far, I have no clear idea what type of change Obama has in mind, because he is not telling in his usual sermons.

With Clinton, I know what I will get.

BTW: is "honest politician" a paradox or an oxymoron or both? Obama is part of the Washington system and he is knee-deep in the pockets of Emil Jones and other Chicago Democrats. He promised politics the Chicago Way and he is trying to deliver them.

But rest assured, if nominated, Obama will come this close to becoming President and McCain will compliment him on a spirited campaign.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:40 PM on 04/24/2008

"but isn't a female President change?"

That is dumb. You think that just because she is a woman that would be change? I have no problem with a woman being president. But not that woman. She is not change. She is a Clinton.

If you think she is the best candidate, fine. But don't vote for her just because she is a woman.

And if you don't know what kind of change Obama will bring, then you haven't been paying attention, or you don't know how to use Google. With Hillary Clinton you don't know what are you getting because she changes her face every time a new poll comes out.

You're wrong.
The only groups Obama is going to unite are the Robots and the Zombies. They will join forces and take over the Earth if John McCain is not elected president. It is a well-known fact that zombies do not care for old flesh and robots were usually created by the elderly, thus creating a fondness for them and if they are going to attack, they will attack the young first.
If McCain is President, he will be immune to these Robot/Zombie forces and figure out a way to lead us to victory.

Duh.

Yep yep agreed to all above - the humorists provide the funny slant to TRUTH! And senior, I might add - if all truly want a warmonger, why not vote the real deal in McCain, as opposed to the memorex of Clinton? They will be just as ruthlessly FUNNY on Obama also, when he slips(I say when, cause none are infallable), but you always here truth from these two guys.

Here is something for the Obama supporters and the Hillary supporters that say they wont vote for the other if their candidate doesn't get the nomination. John Mccain is in this war with Iraq indefinitely. There is a prevailing thought that he might, if nominated engage in war with Iran. Our armed forces are already strained beyond measure. If we proceed over in Iraq for much longer with out some sensible relief....scratch that...to stay over in Iraq at the rate we are now is unsustainable. Which means in order to successfully complete the mission that Mccain wants we will have to implement a draft. Look, we are at war and the country has been asked to sacrifice nothing so we have this ho hummness over the war. But if we continue with this war you can rest assure your sons and daughters will be making that sacrifice, not to mention our jobs and economy and livlihood and our middleclass!!!! WAKE UP YOU IDIOTS we can not take four more years of the repubLIEcans!!!!

We should trust Hillary Clinton's stance she would "obliterate Iran" if an ally is attacked? Hillary Clinton is just as dangerous as John McCain.

No idiot here...

So what would Barry do if Israel were nuked by Iran, or if North Korea nuked Japan? We're not talking diplomacy before the fact, we're talking what would he do after the attack?

The threat of nuclear retaliation (MADD) was a pretty effective deterrent for both sides during the Cold War. And that meant making it clear that we would retaliate if attacked. In fact, JFK declared that any missile attack on any country in our hemisphere would be viewed as a direct attack by the Soviet Union. That got Nicky K's attention, and both sides backed away from the abyss.

Sometimes you have to talk tough, or as Barry would say, leave all options on the table. I assume he means nuclear retaliation is one of those options.

Guess his finger would shake above the button and nothing will happen for a long time. Then he will press "present"...

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:43 PM on 04/24/2008

Responding to a hypothetical that need not be discussed for any pressing reason with such aggressive hyperbole as "we will obliterate them" is. not "talking tough" it is...juvenile and dangerous. That is, Bushian. To be subtle and imply such a thing so that someone has to extrapolate as you just have about "barry" is how it is done, and with good reason.

What is stupid is a NUCLEAR attack bringing WW3! Rusia is the checks and balance on us, so if we nuke, they Nuke us? Do-do's for Hillary?
Don't be fooled by a woman with nukes!

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 02:01 PM on 04/24/2008

First off, I don't think people like being called idiots, Next if Hillary gets the nomination, she will run the Country in the ground as she has her campaign. Her ad is on AOL begging for $5 donations right now. In addition, Hillary is already talking about nuking. She has to prove something and she will destroy this world if she becomes the next POTUS. Do you actually believe the other nations are going to listen to her?

Finally, if Obama does loses the nomination, I will not vote for Hillary. I would rather see John McCain run it into the ground.

Now if you want to be the idiot and vote for Hillary then that is your choice.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:45 AM on 04/24/2008

You don't think people like being called idiots but you call a Hillary supporter that anyway. "But if you want to be an idiot vote for Hillary. " You are right about that. I don't care for being called an idiot but I would rather vote for Hillary than Obama. Of course if Obama should be the nominee, I will be voting for him since that seems the less idiotic of the two ideas you have presented in your comment.
Out of curiosity rather than actual interest in your strange opinion, what kind of person would rather let John McCain run the country into the ground than to vote for someone other than Obama? Clearly that person moves beyond idiocy to perhaps being a supreme idiot....or wait...maybe a super idiot. Do you actually believe anyone is going to listen to you?

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 05:01 PM on 04/24/2008

Well, you're pretty much guaranteeing that Barry won't be elected when you choose to withhold your vote from whoever becomes the Dem. nominee.

And for the record, I think the other nations would be more than happy to listen to Hillary, or Barry for that matter. What the rest of the world wants is to be listened to as well.

Don't forget about having to listen to his supporters bitching. It would be too much for me. You do what you have to do and people like me will do what we have to do. Long live democracy!

And I say to YOU tenacious and wimpy are not necessarily oxymorons - when you consider the last TWO dynasties in power. You can't form your policy of toughness with the blood/guts of others. Like any REAL fighter - you let the bullshit slide, and use your MIND to attack first - and wait for YOU to fuck up before attacking. You act like the WORLD isn't watching also.

1. Holding or tending to hold persistently to something, such as a point of view. 2. Holding together firmly; cohesive: a tenacious material. 3. Clinging to another object or surface; adhesive: tenacious lint. 4. Tending to retain; retentive: a tenacious memory.

Well, it cannot be 1, because she changes her point of view depending on what she thinks we want to hear.
Can't be number two, since her campaign team has been falling apart and changing "leadership" since she provides none.
I'm guessing number 3 -- clinging. Like that guest at the party that just won't go home.

She didn't say he was a copycat some aid did and Obama's aids are just as nasty. The candidates themselves aren't nearly as negative as some of the races in the past. But the Press is definitely making Clinton out to be the villian and dear Obama the messiah. She's been attacked from the start, he gets himself in trouble and questions come up and what does he do? He refuses to talk to the Press. A little immature is it not? Is he going to be such a baby when it comes to foreign policy and someone from another nation questions him or says something he doesn't like? I think he needs to grow up along with both candidates aids.
