As I suspected, the "Hillary raised $10 million online overnight" report that the Washington Post ran with earlier today was too good to be true. I don't know if the mistake is the reporter's or if someone at Camp Hillary was spinning a bit too fast, but there's no way they raised that much since her win in Pennsylvania yesterday.

An email from Terry McAuliffe, Clinton campaign chairman, that I received three hours ago, says "More than 50,000 people have contributed to the campaign for the very first time in the last 24 hours alone." If 80% of Clinton's donations are from new givers, that implies a total number of about 60,000 donations. If we're very generous and assume an average donation of $100, which is high for first-time donors, that gives Clinton a current take of at most $6 million.

If the Clinton camp verifies it, it must be true! Just like Bosnia, NAFTA, and ducks!

They gave a different number to the Seattle Times:
"Hillary Rodham Clinton raised $10 million in the 24 hours after winning the Pennsylvania primary, aided by contributions from 80,000 new donors, her campaign said Thursday.

The $10 million came from a total of 100,000 donors, spokesman Mo Elleithee said."

80,000 NEW donors in 24 hours? Oh, right. The source isn't exactly trustworthy. This reminds me of when she put out the message that her campaign staff was working for free, which generated a flood of contributions, only to be followed up the next day with, "we didn't mean that."

All this while she targets a good candidate with the politics of personal distruction. Good grief.

I'm sure she came up with $10 million ... she needed to to support the idea of "The Tide is Turning" ... where the money REALLY came from, God knows?

The same way HRC is confused about who is truly winning the popular votes, the same way she can't manage her $$, this is a prelude of how she will run the economy. She can't pay her vendors, her staff, their health care . no no!!!!!!!!!, we can't afford someone who can not even manage her campaign money , Nation remember she spent almost $95,000 just on pizzas.

America wake up , don't fall for HRC , she might feed the whole country with Pizzas everyday, we would owe all pizzerias in town a trillion of $$ , pizzerias would all go bankrupt under HRC administration. When people will get obese and sick because of eating too many pizza's , no hospitals or doctors would treat them , simply because HRC would have run a huge deficit on health care .

It does not look good when a presidential candidate is being sued for non payment by vendors.

Nation , that's it , enough with this nonsense, no matter what she tries to say or do HRC has lost the nomination, remember she said McCain is better than Obama, this is what sealed her faitth. She is no longer and has never been a democrat.

INTERESTING! 10 Million in debt, and just 'happened' to raise 10 million over night! Sounds like robbing Peter to pay Paul to me. How convenient!

The only thing Hillary has ever raised in 24 hours is suspicion, anger and lies.

Come on. Hillary would never lie about her fundraising numbers. Hey, is that sniper fire I hear?

Ha! Now the FEC is being asked to look into the Elton John concert. Just a few more broken laws - nothing new for the Clinton clan:

I think it is great that people decieded to give millions of dollars to Hillary, now she can pay her bills for her campaign. I really don't understand why people would give her money. She has a background full of scandals, a habit of telling lies and she does not understand foreign leaders. Hopefully Hillary will pay the bills before doing anything else.

It makes me wonder - is Hillary staying in the race to pay her own loans back that she made to the campaign?

Don't forget, 4 million goes to Mark Penn. Clinton supporters must be so proud that their hard earned dollars are going into the pocket of Hillary's former lobbiest/friend/hatchet man. Gosh, she could have saved all that money...she's quite capable of trashing her own party all by herself.

She's a liar, but hey, she's a damn good liar! That's the buzz on the MSM. Really, c'mon, who cares if she's a liar and a phony. She's convinced a lot of people who don't take the trouble to get informed and get their information from lizard brain sound bites and name-calling that she is the best candidate. The republicans LOVE her!

I have read that all of Bill Clinton's accounts and Companies, foundations etc., are under investigation, also the court case in California for 'campaign fraud' is coming up....that is why their broke. They have to use the legal ways of raising money... Obama raises his by mass donations from voter's contributing very small amounts. That is what Clinton asked her voter's for the other night again today.. Unfortunately for them doing it the legal way is hard for her. Isn't that pathetic? The other day, also, Federal Court issued federal officers at polls for security against 'election fraud'. First time i've heard Federal court get involved...I think this is what is making Bill Clinton so angry...being watched.

Richard M. Scaife, Pittsburg Billionaire just endorsed Clinton last week remember? I wonder....he's could spare $10 mil. for Hillary, she made herself available while in Pennsylvania, to Mr. Scaife...he liked her toughness. I guess some men just get turned on by the whole Rocky Hillary thing? I think Hollywood should sign her up, she has more persona's than Dare's has jellybeans. Notice Bubba's red nose everywhere he goes? .....hmmm Do we really want these to in Power??? How many more kneecaps is he going to break for Hillary? I think they will implode before the fall...

I'm happy for Hillary! After she uses her newfound $10 million to pay off her screaming creditors, her campaign will only be $2 or 3 million in the hole! (Maybe)

Hillary Clinton has to lie about this:

Hillary absolutely HAS to drown all the chatter about her insolvency.

The fact that she is so far behind Obama in fundraising makes her look like a weak and unsupported candidate. If she doesn't come up with some story about money pouring in after Pennsylvania, then she has very little to counteract most of the pundits going on and on about how the 10 or 11 delegate gain really made no difference at all to the race. I mean, look at Drudge's headline, something like "All THAT for ten delegates??" And her claims about having the popular vote cinched now have been debunked over and over. And she was just recently begging for five-dollar donations.

So what other choice does she have? She has to inflate the fundraising to add luster to her sorry rhetoric about the "tide turning." She thinks that by the next FEC report deadline, she will have the nomination pretty well secured. Utter madness.

But unfortunately, she will fool a lot of her base, blue-collar workers and seniors, many of whom don't have money to spare, into giving away their money. After she has stiffed the little guys she owes money to all across the country. After she has sat on the board of Wal-Mart, for chrissakes, and had a lifelong loving association with all kinds of anti-labor leaders and organizations. It is sad.

I have patience...I will wait for the election report Filings...three months ago, I would have taken the statement (10 Million) at face value...No longer. Fool me once (you know the rest.)

No Mrs. Clinton no more will I accept, what comes out of your bankrupt campaign as fact..You brought it on yourself, with embellishment, innuendo, mis-speak and lies.

Enough!

sorry. I have a hard time taking the Clinton Camp on their word.

it's not that I am by nature cynical and distrustful, but in this case ...

The media SHOULD be looking at the following:

* Clinton had a 16 year lead on Obama in Name Brand Recognition, competing against a newcomer.

* Clinton is a Senator married to a formerly popular former President.

* Clinton had a head-start with over 250 Superdelegates.

* Clinton started her campaign flush with MILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

* Clinton has been planning this run since her move to NY.

The unasked question:

Why has Hillary Clinton effectively lost to Barack Obama?

With all that she had to start with, the race shouldn't have even been close.

They lied about how much debt they actually have, why should we believe them on how much they have raised/

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT GETTING ATTENTION: ANOTHER CLINTON LIE:

Clinton stated today that she was not aware of her husband's pardon of the two Weather Underground members.

There is no doubt that Hillary Clinton's raising $10 Million in 24 hours is impressive, if true.

Still, the media should closely investigate and ask the following questions:

* Why have Hillary Clinton Supporters waited until she is virtaully dead before giving to the campaign? Concerns?

If HRC's campaign were a business, it would have filed for bankruptcy - twice.

* How can we trust Clinton with the Federal Budget, if her fical management of an immeasureably small entity is so poor?

* Also, assuming Bill Clinton legitimately raised $500 Million for his Library/Foundation legally, why are he an HRC having trouble remaining solvent?

Some patterns require specific review, particularly where finances are concerned.

"..Use of private jet travel

On May 30, 2007,Senator Clinton faced criticism at a campaign stop in LasVegas, evada for accepting rides on a private jet from longtime campaign contributer Vinod Gupta, CEO of the data company InfoUSA Inc. Gupta faced a lawsuit by InfoUSA shareholders for excessive company spending of millions of dollars, including $900,000 spent on Clinton's travel. Clinton claimed she did not violate Senate rules and used the then-current appropriate reimbursement process for travel on private jets.[1]

FY2008 budget

It was revealed in mid-June 2007 that, in the defense authorization bill, Sen. Clinton and Carl Levin (D-Mich.) secured more earmarks than any other senators. Of the bill's $5.4 billion worth of earmarks, Clinton received 26 earmarks worth about $148.4 million and Levin received 45 earmarks worth about $210 million.

Returned campaign donation

In late August, 2007, it was revealed that a large campaign contributor to Clinton's presidential campaign,Norman Hsu,was wanted in California for failing to appear for sentencing on a 1991 grand theft charge. On August 29,Clinton's campaign said that it would give the $23,000 that Hsu donated to charity, though there were no plans to return any money that Hsu raised from other donors.[2] Beyond the $23,000 he personally donated,he also had helped raise over $1 million for Hillary's campaign, making him one of her top 20 "bundlers."

So what, we love Obama ! Do you ever check to see what Hillary has done ? They are so corrupt it would blow your mind and you fall for it. Do some reading and find out what your canididate really is about. All you have to do is google Hillary Clinton. The trouble with Hilalry voters is they don't want to believe it.. Why do you think we are for him and not her ? I voted for Bill twice, I never knew the things about Bill until she became the candidate. Try checking out who you are voting for. All we here are the Rev. Wright and Ayers and yadda, yadda, yadda. He's not perfect, but, a hell of a lot better than her. She can't carry little states, so where does that get you ? He still has more votes than her, even though Hillary says she does. Lies ! She is adding Fl and Mi, which she will never get.

It seems to be all obama all the time. Why don't they just change the name to Huffington-Obama.com, and get it over with.

I hope she gets her reward if he gets elected; she's earned it, with all the good press she gives him.

It's so sad what has happened to this blog.

I think the media need to spend a couple of days reviewing Clinton exaggerations, again, just so we can keep it all straight.
