Obama Adds Populist Rhetoric To Stump Speech

Senator Obama, struggling after repeated losses to white, blue collar workers, was singing a different tune today during a town hall in Wilmington, North Carolina, adding lines to his stump speech to make him more appealing to the demographic he has struggled to win over.

Obama's new populist message started with a direct appeal to the people, saying that in this race he is not against running against Hillary Clinton, but rather running against the very things that have made people's lives hard.

I have been hearing and reading Obama supporters call to disavow Rev. Wright, but why? Rev. Wright and Obama are two different people and as long as he exist the MSM, GOP, and Clinton campaign will continue to bring him up. If Obama came out today and say "I disavow him totally, he is exiled from my life," would be disingenous. Obama is his own person and it won't matter what he says he will always be held to a higher standard and subjected to a double standard because of the kind of candidate he is. Any candidate who is a dreamer of a better America has always gone through the fire. You have to be steadfast in your belief of a better America and stop buying into the hype.

Good post. I think Obama's arrogance is starting to damage him. I can understand not wearing a flag pin. People get stuck on stupid and they always vote against their needs because they like a candidate. I wonder when they will listen to what all candidates have to say about what they will do to make individuals life better or what means the most to them and stop choosing candidates because they like them. Mccain and Hillary share too many similarities. The recent one is John Mccains short term Holiday tax cuts which takes the money out of our infistructure fund so we can get a half a tank of gas and Hillary Clinton agreed that this is a good plan. Do you think 25-30 dollars is a good plan for you or would you like a permanent plan that will make a major difference? because that's what Obama is offering. Hillary Clinton has been promising universial healthcare for 16 years what makes her supporter think she is going to do it any different if she's president.
