It's a story Hillary Clinton loves to tell, about how the Chinese government bought a good American company in Indiana, laid off all its workers and moved its critical defense technology work to China.

And it's a story with a dramatic, political ending. Republican President George W. Bush could have stopped it, but didn't.

We finally hear a policy issue from the Clinton campaign and it is bogus.

Bill Clinton was a huge advocate of Free Trade. It was a central issue of his Presidency.

There are good arguments in favor of Free Trade. Why aren't we hearing them?

Instead we hear Hillary claiming she has been against the policies her husband embraced. Is it any wonder that people have a problem with Hillary's veracity?

NAFTA and CAFTA. Deals with China, Dubai that have taken US jobs overseas or just flat out given US security and business entities (i.e. ports) to foreign control....Thanks, Bill and Hillary!!

The only good thing that NAFTA and Colombian, Dubai ties have done is to give the Clintons a big payola to the tune of $110 million. They were the operatives and mouthpieces for these countries to win jobs from us.

And Hillary supporters are dumb enough to call this kind of shameful fleecing of America "experience in leading the country??"

Just like her proposed tax holiday on gas it's no different than McCain the only difference is McCain knows congress will NOT pass a tax on windfall profits to the big oil companies. In reality Clinton knows that and she is just pandering as usual. Say anything do anything to get elected as if we don't have enough corruption in Washington.

I suppose it's time to start recirculating the old joke:

How can you tell if a Clinton is lying?

American money for all goods, favors and national secrets they bought!

So quit yer whining and vote the amazing Clintons back into the White House!

China makes spying a company policy; by purchasing high-tech firms in the United States, China gains access to advanced weapons technology which then is duplicated on Chinese production lines - World: Espionage (2002 Article)

A U.S. high-tech firm bought in 1995 with Clinton-administration approval by a consortium that included two Chinese companies is proving to be a threat to U.S. national security, according to senior government analysts. The Anderson, Ind., based Magnequench Inc. was bought by the San Huan New Materials and Hi-Tech Co. of the People's Republic of China (PRC), which was started and still is partially owned by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

So, let's here the Clinton supporter spin or defense of this.

My son teaches English in Japan. A businessman there told him that the Chinese come over, buy a single item of merchandise, take it apart and try to duplicate it. If there is a piece or two that they don't comprehend the purpose of, they just leave it out.

We left behind our old phones when we moved here, and --in less than a year and a half--we have gone through at least ten cheap Chinese-made phones. Usually one of the buttons will stop working and go "THUNK" instead of 'BEEP" and fail to register. We have also gone through two Chinese toasters that we bought to replace one American-made one that was a wedding gift in 1967! We are finding that the "made in China" stuff if certainly no bargain in the long run.

Too bad W. Edwards Deming is no longer with us. He could certainly help the Chinese reputation (provided they, like the Japanese were, are willing to go for quality instead of crapola).

Thanks - I am not exactly a rabid right-winger, but the idea of making deals with the Chinese on smart bombs (Magnequench) and missile/satellite secrets (Loral), are disturbing.

That figures. Now all that needs to happen is for Bill to say he didn't do it in front of the camera and then deny making the statement the next day.

If Sen Obama is to be held to the words of his pastor

I think it's safe to say Clinton should be held to the actions of her husband:

Please, Hillary is not a liar, she just misspoke after being up all night and was tired! This story will quickly fade as did Tuzla, NAFTA, Irish Peace Agreement, Iraq War Authorization, The Family, etc. etc. etc. If Hillory were half black the MSM would have destroyed her candidacy by now.

The MSM and its corporate thugs-ownership is waiting to see if she is the nominee. THEN, they will destroy her by digging out filing cabinets full of damning Whitewater stuff still sitting in her lawyers' storage facilities, just waiting for some judge to deny attorney-client privilege. Or, by revealing, the contents of the newer dossier that the far right has accumulated on Bill.

Does anybody still seriously wonder why the far right is working so hard to make sure she is nominated?

Why is anyone surprised?

It's all about money--big money.

A nation with no moral compass.
