Michael Calderone reports that Howard Dean will return to Fox News Sunday for the first time since 2003:

Fox already snagged both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama in the past week, and now I'm hearing that DNC Chairman Howard Dean will be sitting down for an interview with Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday."

Meanwhile, ABC's George Stephanopoulos will host a townhall for Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama will appear on "Meet The Press."

Chris Wallace will ask with a straight face: "Gov. Dean, why are you the chairman of the communist party?" I expect Wallace to frame his questions with as many right-wing talking points as he can. Dean is very intelligent though and difficult to spin.

Dude! This will be fun to see. I hope Dean rips them a new one. Don't these reporters have their own skeletons? I wish someone would go an O'Reilly and as soon as he starts to get all moral ask him about falafel.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:00 AM on 05/02/2008

After much thought, it is more likely that Dean is actually a power hungry buffoon than an objective and relevant leader of the DNC. Clearly, he is for Obama all along and could have forced a revote in the disenfranchised states if he wanted to.

He is simply doing the bidding of the still powerful, yet completely out of touch dinosaurs of the Democratic party, like Kennedy, Kerry, carter, Hart and Pelosi.

He only wants to seat FL and MI after the SD"s have given Obama the nomination. He came up with a ridiculous penalty for FL and MI that violates the most basic democratic principle and claimed those were the rules, when in fact the penalty was made up after the fact.

He should quite after making what would have been a straightforward process a real mess, only because he played favorites and not because he showed any semblance of leadership.

He needs to let this play out to the end. Of course, Obama needs more time to recover from the Pastor Disaster and Clinton can run for President tomorrow or any other day and win. Obama runs poorly against McCain and now Dean just wants to jam the process down everyones throat.

What a jackass.

Brilliant idea! It'd be much better if the individual States got to kick the DNC around. We'd end up with the 2012 primaries in 2009. Would that be strong leadership or what?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:19 AM on 05/02/2008

I won't be watching This Week any more. I am boycotting both moderators of the ABC debate in protest of how they conducted themselves.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:53 AM on 05/02/2008

Good for you, write them and let them know.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:47 AM on 05/02/2008

Al the questions are going to be about how "the democratic party is going to implode".

I really don't know what this guy does.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:21 PM on 05/01/2008

Howard Dean is the Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, (and a great one, at that). He's amongst the most powerful Democrats in the country, but he's very much a behind-the-scenes kind of guy. When the Democrats win overwhelming majorities in both Houses of Congress this November, Howard Dean with his 50 State Strategy will be the one to thank.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:27 PM on 05/01/2008

ABC is hosting a Townhall? Surely they are going to do the same for McCain and Obama.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:12 PM on 05/01/2008

My reply posts are being misplaced. The second one was for Raymondf below, not for DavePM!

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:04 PM on 05/01/2008

FlowerGirl, I have gotten into the habit of addressing the person I reply to, as I just did to you. C A N U D I G I T ?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 01:18 AM on 05/02/2008

That is a stupid statement (like your earlier claim that Iraq shipped its WMDs to Syria.) I suppose it's par for the Republican or even Republicanlike(sic!)
Dean has made the Democratic Party a national party again. He's the best leader the party has had in my lifetime. (And I'm a bit older than you!)

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:50 PM on 05/01/2008

Obama and McCain already had their Townhall meetings on the HardBall College Tour on MSNBC.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:42 PM on 05/01/2008

Hell, If I was Obama I wouldn't want to even be in the same room with any body from ABC.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:41 PM on 05/01/2008

Guess you should count all that FREE air time he's had for his SPEECHES , to justify his racism .

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:01 PM on 05/01/2008

what about HRC spindoctors Indiana "white nigger" gate?
it don't git no uglia than that betty.
Obama isn't the racist,
HRC is the class racist: "...rich people, God bless us."

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:06 PM on 05/02/2008

Racism, I have never heard anything like that in Obama's speeches.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 12:06 AM on 05/02/2008

They might have one for Obama -- AFTER the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.
Fair is fair. Equal time and all that. Or again, they might not even bother.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:38 PM on 05/01/2008

Howard Dean generally does pretty well for himself on these types of shows. Of all the Democrats who might go on FOX News, he's the one I worry about the least. He doesn't accept right-wing framing of the issues, and he never goes off-message. If anyone ends up looking bad this Sunday, it will most likely be Chris Wallace.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:53 PM on 05/01/2008

buddhistMonkey, you're right. Howard Dean can handle himself just fine. He's tough. Of course Faux will work their asses off afterwards, cuttin' and splicin' the pixals, so to speak.

HILLARY HAS LOST THE ENTIRE BLACK VOTE....FOREVER !!!

This is the message being sent by blacks to the DNC (and the superdelegates). There is no way Hillary will defeat McCain without the support of Black America aka the guaranteed Democratic vote. Hillary started out with 82% of the black support. But as Blacks learned more about her (Goldwater Girl...Against Civil Rights Act '64....It was LBJ...Not MLK....etc) combined with Bill's (...fairy tale....Jessie Won S.C. too...etc.)...blacks were shocked beyond repair. (remember....we luved Bill so much we called him 'The First Black President')....but never again....WHERE'S THAT STORY. This has nothing to do with Obama !!!! We (blacks) have awakened to the truth about the Clintons......

Greg Jones
www.Blacks4Barack.org
(A Multi-Racial, Grassroots Org...Dedicated To Truth)

p.s. Blacks4Barack.org started in Feb. 2007 (Greg Jones) when VERY few blacks were for Obama.....they were ALL for Hillary !!!!! We knew that Obama was the best person to run our country and bring our troops home and that is why we started our grassroots organization. (Not because he's black...but because he's most qualified) The more black voters learned about Obama...the more they liked him.... the more they learned about the Clintons....the angrier they got !!!!!!!!!!!!!! We appreciate our friends of ALL races....who are working together....for the very best candidate....to put America on the right track.....Barack Obama ! THANK YOU !

One last thing, if you had a little time under your belt, enough to learn some history, you'd know that Barry Goldwater was a person of considerable character and seriousness. Many liberals would say, without hesitation, that he commanded, and deserved, respect. That Hillary worked for him in her youth speaks WELL for her, and we can even admire her MORE for moving to the liberal side.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 11:31 PM on 05/01/2008

What's sad about this post, Greg, is this: Hillary grew up. She understood the mistakes of her youth, and has helped build a legacy - with Bill - of HANDS ON, walking-the-walk identification with and support for the black community.

Now, even though Democrats have benefited mightily from the support of blacks, it is just a little creepy that you would be so thrilled to assert that Hillary has lost "the entire black vote", FOREVER, yet! First, of course, it's just not true. There's 8 to 10 percent of brave black Americans who support Hillary, and always will. Second, the time is coming when the black community will rise up against the idea that they EVER act in unison about ANYTHING.

There are very good reasons to have done so in the past, and they certainly do comprise a powerful interest group politically, but as they integrate further into the larger society, they will diverge. It is NATURAL for them to mature in this way. In fact, some are even, omg, conservative NOW.

This will be a loss for the Democrats, but a good thing for blacks in particular because they will be acting according to their own wants and needs, not those of their racial group. Now, before you go all juvenile on me and blow a gasket, remember that this assumes the society will make progress in dropping barriers based on color (for god's sake!). The NEED for a united front will be less and less.

Oh brother ! What has QUALIFIED Obama ?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:04 PM on 05/01/2008

Lets start with he doesn't duck imaginary sniper fire...

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:44 PM on 05/01/2008

gregjones your right.......instead he ducks real racist and does not fire back till that racist aims point blank at him.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 06:14 AM on 05/02/2008

How about he doesn't throw people under the bus for political again but will seperate himself when they show a lack of character? How about Hilary that now woos and panders to the right wing demolition machine that called her a murder simply to get votes. If we are talking character and the ability to lead this country in a world wide economy Obama wins hands down.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:22 AM on 05/02/2008

well my god.... is it a contest???

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:23 PM on 05/01/2008

If Dean goes on Fox on Sunday and simply tries to sooth the ruffled feathers of the registered Democrats, then he will be a bigger looser than Hillary. What he needs to do is step in. I am not saying he should force the remaining supers to select, nor am I saying he should end this and name the nominee.

What Dean SHOULD do is step up to the plate, make a statement (a final statement!!) about the Fla, MI mess and end that open would once and for all. He should also take the candidates aside and let both of them know that the b*tchy campaigning will stop (not ask, but tell). No more false ads. No more lies. No more false pandering. Instead of the candidates attacking one another, at this point, they both need to go after McCain. Let McCain now have to campaign against 2 candidates.

If the DNC thinks that by letting this mess work itself out (it ain't gonna, folks, not as long as Hillary is in the picture) that the open wounds of the party will heal, they need to get their heads out of their arse. This party will be so damaged it may never recover - another party may be established that will overtake the Democratic Party.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:19 PM on 05/01/2008

I agree with you very much that Howard Dean needs to open his mouth and stop play acting that he is an Olympian above the fray. One candidate, need I mention whom?, is out to destroy the party as well as her rival (oops!) I give Howard Dean credit for setting up the Democratic primary the way he has: all states and all voters heard from, no winner take all like the GOP disenfranchising the majority. Hillary no likee. Let's stop trying to be politically correct with the Clintons, Gov. Dean. All right thinking and true Democrats need to take the gloves off with them instead of being their punching bag. So please speak out on FOX.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:55 PM on 05/01/2008

I hope you guys get your news from more than one source. Poll numbers for Clinton are busting out all over. Maybe it's the media telling voters what to do again. They HATE that. Anyway, isn't it weird that the only poll numbers here are days old and buried?

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:08 PM on 05/01/2008

Howard Dean the biggest joke in politics.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 07:07 PM on 05/01/2008

Actually, that would be Karl Rove who created a permanent Democratic majority.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:48 AM on 05/02/2008

The polls are all over the place you can find any that will represent your views. The FACT is Obama is winning and WILL be our next president so get behind him unless you want another 4 years of war, depression, lack of health care and being spoon fed your opinions by right wing media.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:25 AM on 05/02/2008

I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 10:35 PM on 05/01/2008

Sorry, DavePM, my second post here is misplaced, should be below in reply to Raymondf. I don't know why my posts are misplaced like that.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 09:01 PM on 05/01/2008

Now this was displaced too. It should have appeared above after DavePM's post.

favoriteFavorite Flag as abusive Posted 08:58 PM on 05/01/2008

My second statement is displaces. It was in reply to Raymondf's statement disparaging Howard Dean. Sorry.
