The Republican press just loves to say "Barack Obama". But they can only allow themselves to say it in a negative context. Like the little boy pulling the pretty girl's hair. They are in love !

Jeremiah Wright is so transparent. He made a comment and the anti-Obama camp jumped on it. Then they continue to take him past his 15 minutes of fame and he grandstands. I have one question for those who continue this controversy? If you feel that Obama was wrong to continue to listen to this bitter old man (who is anything but true Christian in his rhetoric), why do you continue to listen to him? Further, if you want him to have coverage, why not give him a spot on a religious network so you can constantly add clips to YouTube?

It is not only Wright that is transparent, but also the GOP and Fox news. Once again, we must laugh at a not-so-funny situation because those in charge continue to bombard us with it.

What is despicable is that Hillary led the charge to drum up Rev. Wright into an issue.

Hillary is out of ammo and does not want to talk about the war.

Re: Wright. He doesn't look like he has missed too many meals. I didn't know he was ever in chains. When was the last time someone tried to shut him up? Looks like never. Has he had the freedom to preach hate as religion? Yes. So, where's the beef?

Please stop complaining about the MSM's handling of the Rev. Wright issue. did you actually think that we would have a civilized political campaign? ask yourself, " when has that happen in my life time?". what you really have to worry about --- [ no matter who becomes Pres. ] ---- is that it is carried into the white house. these people truly hate each other. its a nightmare to them to think that they have to share the power. they let us cast our vote every four years, and then cast us aside. we don't matter. they will do as they choose. you will beg for hand outs. you will let them take away your liberties. you will shed your blood for their lies. and what will you get, another rebate check, a tax holiday, hope and a dream. the only thing that you can do, is grab for yourself what you feel is yours. no matter who becomes President!

Really? Now I must admit, I thought Hanity is the most biased person on TV , untill I turned to Olberman. However, do Hanity and O Reilly scream God Damn America? Do they say USA invented AIDS. Do they say that America is downright mean country. Do they say " I am finally proud of my country?

Some people still aren't proud of this country. Better late than never.

You need to study the Tuskeegee Experiment before you dismiss Wright's AIDS accusation as unfounded. He may still be wrong, but he has basis for suspicion.

I suggest you get on PBS dot ORG and watch Bill Moyer's interview with Wright. You'll get the God Damn America sermon in context. It's not as bad as how Fox tried to package it to you.

With all that being said, I still don't like Jeremiah Wright. But that doesn't matter. I don't need to like the man.

I want Obama to lead this country out of the ditch that Bush-Clinton drove us into.

era996,
Hannity was friendly for years with Hal Tuner, a white racist, who sells nooses, and said they represent "justice". I am sorry, that is worse than anything Rev. Wright said.

For all those people below talking about US atrocities, add this:

While the Khmer Rouge were busily eliminating three million of their countrymen, the US, Thailand, and Singapore were working together behind the scenes giving the Khmer Rouge logistical support. Money, weapons, safe refuge in Thailand. The blood of the three million dead are on the hands of the US too, along with the two million Vietnamese.

Read about it if you don't know already.
The Rev. Wright is a fool of course, but it doesn't make him wrong necessarily. The part about God damn America? Done already.

Your ignorance of Thailand and asian history is breathtaking but not surprising. Anyone who thinks the Thais were supporting the Cong is just an idiot. During that time they had [on their borders] communist Laos on the north, drug running Burma, communist Cambodia [Prince Norodom Sihanouk was the one supporting the Khmer Rouge], the Viet Cong further east and the moslems in the south. Americans were bullet magnets and had a huge presence there until the fall of Viet Nam.

The Thais [previously know as Siam] survived the chinese, the japanese, the french and the americans [not forgetting the moslems in the south] by being better at diplomacy than we are. They were occupied by the japanese and had one bomb dropped on their country. The military runs the country and their king is a knowledgeable, saxophone playing, harvard educated and benelovent monarch. The border with Laos, Burma, and Cambodia is jungle. Note that it wasn't defoliated like Nam. I too, was in Thailand during Nam. Communists were everywhere but look who survived...the Thais. If you really knew what you were talking about, you would know that the thais are a freedom loving people who are tough and survivors. They hate what the "cong" represent. They are just more tolerant of others than we are.

And, paraphrasing a comment someone else [I think Churchill} said, America has a very bad form of government...but the others are so much worse.

Couple of good points, but 'Cont(R)a America's myth about itself, as it were.

A small quibble ... Wright may be a clown, but I don't think he is a fool.

I wonder what it's like being Obama and constantly wading through these 24/7, looped, gutter-politics, racially 'informed', caricaterizations that 'myth the point' ... Sorta like trying to save a drowning person whose fea(R)-based reaction are taking the rescuer down with them, eh?

And get this, we (America) did it because - just having lost to Vietnam - we didn't want Vietnam to have a second victory (VN was trying to stop the slaughter by the Khmer Rouge of Cambodians).

I was in the military at this time.
This is the America I know and love.

After watching Colbert of Comedy Central I am convinced that even though the media has a
destructive addiction to Rev. Wright, we have not lost our sense of humor.
I just wish there was a Baskin-Robins ice cream store near me.

Obama is being swift-boated in front of our very eyes by the MSM.

Just like how they demonized Howard Dean for his "scream," they are doing the Republicans' work for them.

I agree with you completely, and if Obama were White and didn't have the name, he does, this would not be happening. The American Media is at the lowest level of journalism possible, what they don't realize is the journalists that report this stuff are at the lowest level also. They get paid to promote this kind of behavior, continually use violent words of hate, then critisize Rev. Wright. These people really need a lesson in Hypocrisy and a really good Mirror.

If Obama were white and didn't have the name he does, he would have been eliminated well before the first super tuesday. He said as much himself. Seems like Obama agrees to some extent with Ferraro.

The comedians keep making more sense than the MSM pundits and the corporate news talking heads.

Is there a rule that says we cannot have a debate moderated by 3 or 4 of there comedians? Besides being extremely entertaining, I have the feeling that one such debate would be more informative than 10 debates moderated like we have seen so far.

That is the most pathetic part about all of this. Comedy Central, Bill Maher, Letterman, Leno and co seem to have a better grasp of this than the "experts"

I simply watch them to get an unbiased trustworthy story.

Why, yes, that would be those same "experts" that cheered while the banking and real estate industries were running wild over regulations in place to protect consumers, thought it was a no-brainer to invade Iraq, was no big deal when oil hit 50 bucks and barrel and kept climbing, think the Bush-Cheney cabal is good for the country, and who take money from corporations who financially back one political party over another. Its a great gig if you can swing it. To be continually wrong, and still be considered an "expert".

It's almost as if "Rev Wright" has become the new "9/11". The media and select politicians keep bringing him up to boost their ratings and score political points, ignoring the greater issues at hand. In fact, it is very similar in that constant invocation of 9/11 was used to trick Americans into going against their better judgement and support going to war on the false premise of WMDs, a war that was unwise. Now today constant invocation of Rev. Wright is used to trick Americans to vote against their better judgment to support a candidate who is honest and intimately understands their struggles and instead vote for a filthy rich, truth-challenged, kitchen sink-tossing political candidate who disingeniously label others as "elitist", falsely claiming to have the working class American people's best interests at heart while defiantly pocketing millions from corporations and the special interests.
