A major hospital in Baghdad's Sadr City slum was damaged Saturday when an American military strike targeted a militia command center just a few yards away, the U.S. military said.

American troops also killed 14 people in separate incidents in and around Sadr City as bloody street battles continued to mark the U.S. effort to rid the area of suspected Shiite Muslim militants, military officials said.

The rocket strike near Sadr Hospital injured 30 people, shattered the windows of ambulances and sent doctors and hospital staff fleeing the scene, hospital officials said.

That hospital and another major facility in Sadr City had already taken in 25 dead bodies between Friday afternoon and 10 a.m. Saturday, when the strike occurred, hospital officials said. None of the injuries was life threatening.

The price of Freedom... Your Tax dollars hard at work... or is it money borrowed from China.

So long as Oil and Arms profits are rolling in, the senseless murder will continue.

Americans could not care less about their own dead and maimed troops who gave their lives for Halliburton, why would they care abnout some injured or dead Iraqis in a hospital ?

Im sure Bin Laden was hiding out in that hospital.

This is like when Israel bombed a funeral in Lebanon in summer 2006 invasion.

Just making sure the dead are really dead.

Up to 29 is OK. If it is over then permission is needed from the WH

Marc Garlasco, who helped target laser-guided bombs during the Iraq invasion, claims in an NPR interview entitled "Assessing the Human Cost of Air Strikes in Iraq," that the military does a careful calculation of how many innocent civilians will be killed for each individual bomb dropped. According to Garlasco, they"re VERY careful. If more than 29, innocent civilians are calculated to become "collateral damage," they have to get White House approval.

North Korea is as capable as George W. Bush. It is a country who's people are starving. The reason N. Korea started threatening us with nukes is because they were trying to blackmail the US into giving them oil.

Clinton (Bill) placated the N. Koreans with oil for years. Bush stopped the practice because Korea was part of the AXIS OF EVIL - as per the illustrious George Bush, genius extrordinar.

PLUS, we are NOT all WHITE CHRISTIANs. Your country has changed. It's time for you to understand that the US is composed of all races and religions. That's what happens in a "free" society.

Here's the news from "calm" Anbar province.
------
The U.S. military said Sunday a roadside bomb killed four Marines in western Anbar province " the deadliest attack in that area in months.
The Marines were killed Friday, but no other details of the incident were released.
------
Better blow up some of those threatening hospitals there, I guess.

We have heard and seen and participated in this story before.
For one reason or another, neither one of them worthwhile, we have chosen two of the sides in the Iraqi power struggle, over another. We are using our troops and our airpower to support two sects against one of the other sects, who we are displeased with, this month. (it looks like a fourth sect, the Kurds, are staying out of this squabble)

Bush and his cabal are digging a hole deeper and deeper, and the eventual outcome does not look good for anyone.

When we first invaded, the oppressed Shia in Sadr City, then known by a different name, were perceived as friendly to invading U.S. troops, since Saddam had oppressed them. The Sunni were in general thought of as the bad guys. Now Bush and his friends have flip flopped, claiming that the Sunnis and the Shia sect that is currently controlling the presidency must be supported, as a vital American interest. No logic, no reason, just "because I say so."

Maybe sometimes it is reasonable to play follow the leader. But sometimes, when the leaders are jumping off a cliff while wearing a blindfold, it is better to change course.

I think that is what you call a precision bombing run. I am sure they will blame this on the pilot, a low lever pleeb, or possibly on Iran or Al Qaede, but I doubt they would admit that they really cant control the bombing with the precision and accuracy they claim they can. Does anyone besides me recall how during the first Gulf War they praised the Scudd missiles for having precision pinpoint accuracy? Only did we find out after the war that the Scudd was really a dud and had the accuracy of a rock being thrown by a blind person. I have a feeling similar things have been and are happening in Iraq. Propaganda tells us one thing, later , the facts will tell us another thing. Worse part is that millions of innocent people will die in Iraq, and Hundreds of Billions of US tax payer money will be paying for those murders.

The minor battle against the Mahdi Army in Iraq is the final battle in the Iraq War. If it helps, think of this as a battle against organized crime, since that is what he Mahdi Army represents, a corrupt parallel government in Iraq that seeks to eventually seize power with the help of Iran, and all it represents, i.e. Hezbollah, Hamas, and the general acceptance of suicide bombings against civilians as a legitimate form of warfare.

Think of the Iraqi people, and if you can't do that, think of the future of the Iraq people.

I ask you: could you accept Mookie al Sadr as your leader?

Actually al-Sadr at least works for the interests of his people, unlike our little fuhrer.

Compared to Bushler, al-Sadr is saint like.

Well well well, look at all the Republican whiners here tonight. I guess there's not much going on in your sites lately, eh fellas? LMAO.

The news sure is depressing for you isn't it? Well, get used to it, macho monkeys. All you are going to have after November is your ability to put your grubby paws over your crotches and act tough while you whine away.

But you guys better watch it, coming here might actually expand your dull, narrow minds. Better run back to Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter for awhile so you can dumb down again and get your pea brains pistol whipped by those two. You come here too much and you might actually gain some insights and might come to your senses, and won't that be a terrible thing?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!

I think I've only seen that one happen once, and then I guess the poster lost interest in the place and quit posting here, either that or his new liberal lifestyle got him out of his mother's basement.
