Abbie H. Tingstad is currently the Evelyn Pruitt Fellow in the Department of Geography at the University of California, Los Angeles. She holds a C.Phil. degree from UCLA, an M.Sc. degree from The University of Oxford, and a B.S. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her interests range from politics to gender and family studies to climate change research. Abbie divided her time as a child between Michigan and Finland and currently lives in Hollywood with her husband Laurence Smith.
