In honor of my Irish grandmother—I never got to meet her, but if she hadn't had the nerve to immigrate to America during World War I, my sorry self wouldn't be here today....
You should take notes from your family who remember any of her stories for future generations.
I kept in touch with a uncle who just passed not too long ago (he was 90) who told me stories of how life was when he was a child and also some genealogy which helped me connect some fairly important dots with my dad's family tree.
