This Fall inspired wedding in Santa Ynez, photographed by Jose Villa and designed by Jill La Fleur, is Autumn at it's very best. Inspired by the vineyard's natural vine hues, Jill brought in a sense of natural beauty to every detail. From the split peas used to fill glass vases to the silk ribbon in nature inspired hues draping the back of chairs, every last touch was Fall perfection. The black bridesmaids dresses, paired with touches of lace and burlap and the most exquisite flowers a girl has ever seen brought a sense of timelessness to the day. When you pair a Bohemian style with a Fall palette, the result tends to be kind of amazing. This bride was as boho chic as you can get and approached her wedding design much as she would an intimate dinner party. With only twenty guests in Great Falls, Virginia, she infused each and every detail with Fall perfection, from the handmade namecards tied to wine glasses to the silk fabric tied beautifully to the back of chairs. Glittery gold heels, a pine cone inspired bouquet, cozy family style dining. This wedding is the perfect recipe for Fall gorgeousness, complete with a bride and groom who are madly in love. To set the tone, the couple chose a palette of browns, creams, greens and rust and then layered in textured floral boxes filled with succulents, dahlias, magnolia leaves and wheat. But the best part? The apple pie pops that they served for dessert at this Los Angeles wedding. This wedding might be an all time fav on SMP. Photographer extraordinaire, Jessica Claire, hired photography legend, Jose Villa, to shoot her Southern Californian wedding and the result...was magic. From the crazy beautiful Fall flowers, to the mismatched wooden chairs (many of which came from a 1940's abandoned schoolhouse), the vintage luggage trunks and tea tins to the bride's warm and yet forever chic sense of fashion, this wedding was definitely Fall at it's finest. The super talented duo at Studio Foto tied the knot in what just might be the cover story for a perfect Fall wedding in Connecticut. They spent well over a year collecting the vintage keys, the antique cameras and chemistry bottles, the film canisters and old windows. All of which were used in creative and thoughtful ways that brought this Fall fete to a place of beauty that is more akin to someone's home than a wedding. It was beautiful and we were so thrilled to share all of the photos, captured by Grazier Photography, with our SMP readers. When we think of Fall, we often think of Thanksgiving and being together with friends and family. Well, if there was a wedding that represented the meaning of that very holiday with such grace and style, it would be this New York wedding. With friends and family helping to craft a day that was a complete reflection of who the couple is, what they love and what inspires them. The bride's brother made their wooden ring box, even sewing a tiny pillow inside. The chuppah was crafted by her mother, the bridesmaids jewelry was handmade by the bride, the groom and his college a capella group serenaded his beautiful bride. It was a celebration of love, of family of pure, undeniable romance. Not many grooms can pull off an argyle sweater, a pink tie and khaki pants for a wedding. But when you stand him beside a drop dead gorgeous bride, complete with the most chic birdcage veil a girl could ever want and a cashmere wrap that is screaming for a hug and well...it just works. This Charlottesville wedding was beyond, with a color palette of fuchsia, magenta, rose and marigold with cobalt blue glass vases and vintage blue willow china plus gourds and pumpkins used as decor and maids donned in mismatched dresses. Our heads were spinning with pure wedding glee. Click here for the full post.
Carla Ten Eyck is one of those photographers that makes everything look beautiful. But she didn't have to work terribly hard on this Connecticut wedding as the crazy beautiful Fall style naturally jumps out of each and every image. But aside from the innate beauty behind every photograph, the couple really took the concept of Autumn elegance to a place that was both innovative and timeless. Apples and pears used in lieu of flowers, dreamy paper lanterns filling the tent, locally grown food and pies with hot chocolate were just a few of the seasonally inspired details. Amidst the 100 year old apple trees in gorgeous Napa Valley, this wedding was featured on SMP more than 2 years ago. And yet the classic, unabashedly stunning style still remains not only relevant...it's totally steal-worthy. Apple Boxes, galvanized bins and an old grape press set the decor stage for a beautiful evening, layered with details that made their guests feel the warmth and intimacy of the night. They capped off the evening with homemade ice cream, brownies and berry pie. To a wedding blogger, the thing that makes a wedding really really beautiful is always a sense of effortlessness. And this California fete is nothing if not completely and totally effortless. From the relaxed bride and groom to the color palette inspired by the natural surroundings, the style is as laid back as it gets. Infused with Fall details like pumpkins, gourds and sunset hued florals and this wedding is Autumnal bliss.
