I was at the excellent Connecticut Forum that night, and you caught a great moment with this clip. I have to say, that even though I tend to eat more like a Tony than an Alice, she is the one who really earned her place on stage. 30 years of activism around organic/local food is nothing to shake a stick at. Alas, her arguments have becoming mainstream, without actually making massive change in American food culture. I wrote about what it was like to hear her speak on my blog here, if anyone wants to get some on-the-spot reporting. http://jul es.dailygr ommet.com/ 2009/05/15 /i-heard-a n-original -thinker-l ast-night/
In my experience, the Connecticut Forum is always excellent. I was there too and this one was no exception.
