Let's face it, the Republicans love Hillary Clinton. They quietly in their heart of hearts pine for her to win the Democratic nomination. The Republican Governor of Florida is rolling out the red carpet for a second primary which will favor Clinton. Pat Buchanan can't be quiet about how much he respects Hillary. Even Ann Coulter pal and SNL sketch writer Jim Downey has written several sketches portraying Hillary as picked on by the press. Downey is one of the all time great sketch writers but I know he's no Hillary fan. Don't get me wrong, I like Hillary and still think Bill Clinton is one of our great presidents. But it's weird. Weird like....well, Pat Buchanan praising Hillary Clinton.
Now it's possible the corporate right wants her to win in order to keep afloat the huge economy of Hillary hate bumper stickers that if my numbers are correct generates over 55 billion dollars in revenue for the south.* They also could be supporting her because after over seven years of the absolute incompetence that is the Bush administration they finally get that corporate welfare and tax breaks for millionaires are not good for the economy. Or maybe they think she's Hilary Swank.
But more likely, in fact, screw it, for sure, they are backing her the way I root for Nenad Krstic to cover Keven Garnett so the Big Ticket can put up twenty and twenty on him.
And yes, it's sad that someone as capable as Hillary would be considered fodder for McCain, a "don't change horses in mid-stream, even when it takes that horse twelve years to cross that stream" kind of guy. Senator McCain just got the thumbs up from Bush. Isn't an endorsement from W like a job reference from that astronaut chick who lost it and wore diapers? Well, she is an astronaut and Bush is president.
The biggest upside of this whole thing is that SNL has clearly still got clout even in this day of a thousand channels and a billion internet sites. They influenced a primary for F's sake. That's big. Now I wrote for the show in the nineties and it's an incredible place that's actually as exciting as it seems like it would be. I've seen SNL have incredible political influence in a good way (Dennis Miller's line about Reagan: "It scares me when the finger nearest the button has a string tied around it.") and a bad way (Portraying Bush and Gore as equally buffoonish in their debates. Bush was an embarrassment and the sketch made people think they were in the same ballpark.). It's had its left wing writers like Al Franken and it's right-wing writers like Jim Downey, who also wrote those Bush-Gore debates sketches. Franken is now running for the Senate and Downey is spinning primaries.
There's no doubt our nation's comedic TV political coverage between SNL, the Daily Show and the Colbert Report is far better than the straight news. And though that's a pithy and tired observation, it's also stone cold, for better or for worse, true.
So put your bumper stickers on your cars Repubs: "Hillary in '08, Up Until November, and then McCain!" If you drive an Excursion it'll fit.
*My numbers were not correct.

I was surprised that SNL did what was in effect a Hillary for President show. It was unfortunate they did it immediately before the primary, which obviously was no accident.
General Electric owns NBC, think that has anything to do with it?
NO DOUBT...........
You are seriously deluded if you believe a T.V. show had anything to do with the Clinton win in Ohio. Clinton was supposed to win both Texas and Ohio by convincing margins. Instead she only won in Ohio and lost the delegate count in Texas (that means Obama won Texas).
If Clinton is anywhere on the ticket, you'll see the rise of a strong third party candidate, most likely assuring McCain and 100 years of wars. Vote Obama for World peace.
If you're going to vote for Obama, shoudn't it be because of Obama and not because of any other element?
VOTE OBAMA IF YOU WANT TO SEE MCCAIN PRESIDENT FOR THE NEXT TERM OR MORE.
I voted for Obama with no passion.
He assured a group of Jewish leaders in Cleveland recently that
Israel's borders are sacrosanct and need to be defended. He
said nothing about Israeli agression, torture, and genocide
concerning Palestinians or about the Palestini9ans
right to self-determination, the establishment of their own
nation with its own political laws, its own judicial system
(not Israel's), its own decisions about who can construct,
use water, own land.
On 4/23/07 Obama "called for an increase in defense spending
and an extra 65,000 solidiers and 27,000 marines in order to "stay on
the offense" against terrorism. He spoke also of the right to
take "unilateral action to protect US'vital interests'".
Is this your peace candidate?
I mean the statement that "critical thinking has been dead in America for decades"!
The world and the GOP are watching the Democrat race.
With Barrack, it will be a Democrat White House. With Hillary, it will be a GOP White house with McCain as president.
The time has come to decide if it is a race between Barrack and Hillary or between the Dems and the Repubs.
Also the world is looking for REAL change in Washington, not the same old.
Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.
I truly believe a Clinton / Obama ticket can take the White House. She may have been only the first lady when in the White House before, but you can't live there and not know how things are done. I feel she has the abilty to hit the ground running and clean out the republican cob webs. Obama will make an excellent vice president and get the experience needed to run after Clinton.
Yeah, ask Al Gore how great it was to be a Clinton VP. All Hillary supporters that talk about Obama being VP just want him to take a backseat. They don't want to support Obama now or later and don't know any other way to deal with his success. Do you see Gore endorsing Hillary? If anyone knows her, wouldn't he? That Gore has not endorsed Hillary speaks volumes.
Yes, only the volumes that it speaks contain this:
Everybody told Al Gore how stupid he was after he lost to a nothing opponent for not inviting Bill Clinton to stump for him.
He instead turned his back on him and said he was his own man. The rest is history.
Endorsing hillary now would be to scrape way too much of that humongous omelet off his face.
And I hope she doesn't ask Obama to be her VP.
She stands for results, and hard work and should surround herself with people who have that same political philosophy.
It is hard for Obama supporters to realize that Hillary Clinton
is one hell of a campaigner!!!!
I still oppose her because l) I have been opposed to
so much that Bill Clinton did (Kosovo, NAFTA etc.)
and I don't want him back. Ever!
2) Hillary is more hawkish in foreign policy and
that is scary.
Despite "the issues" (tch, tch), one must agree that
Hillary like Bill Clinton is a fantastic campaigner,
I didn't say I agree with her. Only that she does, in
fact CONNECT with her audience.
Remember as well that the nominee will not face the
Democratic Party but the entire electorate. Think
about that.:Who can do that good enough to win?
When I think of Hillary, I think of Speaker Nancy
Pelosi. No, no, not because of gender but because
they are both tough, tough no-nonsense politicians.
They both play hardball politics. Period.
"you can't live there (White House) and not know how things are done. "
Great reason for you supporting Hillary.
Well, if you are correct, then we should all vote for Laura Bush.
hillary as first lady was like Elenor Roosevlt, laura bush was more your typical first lady meet and greet..Hillary has always been an activist including her years as first lady of arkansaw, where she personally revamped the education system for children, and worked hard on poverty issues for blacks and whites of that state. She is a remarkable individual and you could'nt walk in her shoes for a second
'you cant live there(white house) and not know how things are done". Jeez i guess now Chelsea's qualified too.
If I were Obama, I would not want her on my ticket.
She brings zip to the table.
Interesting that SNL gave her time just before important primaries but none for Obama.
Nice to see Hillary follows the George Bush Standards of "campaigning".
The group in the DNC that swills around her, are more like conservatives than liberals. They are all for the big tax cuts for the wealthy, slow to help the unions, making lots of money on the "war".
They seem out to get Dean and take any thing left of the true democratic party out. Pale imitaitions of Republicans.
Even one of Hillary's campaign people is connected with those Wonderful Diebolds that have helped the least capable candidates attain offices they did not honestly earn. (McCain's lobbyists want to control/buy Diebold). McCain's theory(Hillary could fit right in)is if you are going to sell your soul for a political office-go all the way).
Experience becomes corrupt the longer it lingers, always good to put new faces, new ideas, less corrupt candidates in office. The Clinton's were fine in '92 but all the secretive money they have made since should give one pause.
If my Party(Demo) allows itself to be corrupted like the Republican Party, then it will not get my vote-no matter how desperately it pleads for votes. Lousy slime tactics to keep Hillary in the race, false accusations against Obama, attempts to renig on agreements to keep Michigan and Florida out, to give Hillary votes she had no competition on, smacks of Rove/Bush/Republican tactics and it is going to rip our Party apart. No one should forget it or dismiss it. It is a form of destroying democracy-and being stuck with another centerist candidate that has no appeal, no aptitude for governing.
Hillary's Iraq and Iran votes smack of personal and career motiviated votes. No thought for country. How many defense lobbyists does she have? She and McCain have so many ugly similarities. Blood money is never pretty.
The one good thing, is staying away from the network political shows that are working so hard for Hilllary, they should be getting checks in the mail(Maybe they are). Like the Limbaugh Republicans, they definitely want Hillary for the Democratic nominee, that should tell one something-but some just don't seem to connect the dots too well.
But let's just all get together and have Hillary foisted on us like George was... It will not unify the Party together, it will lower the bar for political tactics and campaigns, it will continue the status quo and the networks will still be controlled by Corporate and continue to go further right, it will send a message that America has still not grown up or cleaned itself up after eight years of Bush. No Thanks.
"she brings zip to the table?"
can you attempt to be open-minded?
SHe is in a fierce race with him, carrying half of the party. Get real.
Anyone who can be in serious contention for the nomination despite carrying hardly any black support? That alone is simply amazing!
She also brings intelligence, tenacity, experience, connections, focus, an amazing work ethic, the female vote, expertise on health care -- I could go on and on. She works so hard that she has even earned the respect and admiration of the very people who pushed to have her husband impeached.
Can you not support your candidate, Obama, and still maintain some integrity and honesty?
Try to be and play fair. You lose all credibility when you say such silly things.
If Hillary wants to be vice president, she should talk to McCain. They would make a natural match. Obama is going to win the nomination and the general election, and if there is a woman on the ticket with him I'm thinking maybe it will be Janet Napoleotanio. A Democratic woman governor from the west would be good.
Exactly - Thank you for reminding me. Hillary doesn't have the stature of Obama. It would be a clear mismatch. She and McCain would however make a handsome couple. Both need to get the independent vote. Sddaly their only tactic is that of thee past twenty years - When you have nothing good to offer go for the negative.
Let's have the election be about whose ideas appeal to the independent voter. McCain/Clinton or Obama and his VP choice. Then we might actually turn this ridiculous scsenario around and come up with a result that doesn't stink of politics as usual - That is so not change!
Hillary failed to do her job as a Senator. She did NOT read the NIE report before she voted on the Bush (permission to) War. As far as many are concerned she has blood on her hands, as she sent Americans to war in a country with no WMD's. She, and others, allowed the US to invade a sovereign nation. Almost 4,000 are dead, with nearly 90,000 maimed. These are your family members and neighbors. Young people the best of America.
A step back to the past is not a healthy thing. A Senator that is going to make such grave decision as whether or not to send our troops to war and yet does not read the critical NIE must be rejected and sent home as quickly as possible.
Hillary failed to take care of precious American lives and treasure. Hillary failed!
If Hillary gets the nom. I fully intend to vote for her and have only admiration for her. Hil was also pictured in ceramonial garb as well as W and others.Do not con yourself that BO will ask Michell for advice at 3am when the phone rings, neither will he call Hil for advice from Bill, because it is not likely he can be found do to his weakness for the opposite sex.
is that as oppossed to weakness for the same sex? would you preffer that?
I've lived a lot of years in Texas and Texans respect tough. Everytime Obama takes a hit he looks like - as Obama fan Rachael Maddow puts it - "like a bunny in front of a snowplow." That is what is damaging his campaign. So what does the Obama campaign do but attack Clinton on taxes and claim that she doesn't like southerners as much as he does. Obama just comes off as yet another creepy, pathological Clinton hater.
Let me tell you as a former Texan that Texans liked the fact that the Clinton campaign put the press in the men's room and they liked that 3am ad-- not because, ooooh it scared them so, but because they thought: Yes! This bitch is mean enough to take on the Republican smear machine and tough enough to represent us out in the dangerous world that we are inheriting from GW.
It's not a good time to put an idealistic novice in the White House.
"Bitch IS the New Black," and it's high time people started stepping up to the plate to fight for Clinton.
Won't happen and won't work!
I think Maddow is more of a Clinton fan actually.
Think you might be dreaming. I grew up in Texas, too, and I'm guessing the only three groups that will be heavy Dem voters (Clinton or Obama) will be Latinos, African-Americans, and what Texans still call, "Carpetbaggers," northern transplants. Everyone else will go for McCain. I could be wrong, of course.
shouldn't she have won by 20 points then? She was leading by that much 2 weeks ago. Maybe Texans are tough, but what I know for sure is that one lacks coherent arguing skills.
I live in Texas now and you could not be more wrong. Your identification of a strong woman as a though talking bitch is a rather pathetic caricature which has nothing to do with real Texans. The reality is that three weeks ago Obama was still little-known throughout the state, 15-20% behind Clinton. Clintons are rubbing elbows in Texas for decades. Make no mistake, Obama was always the underdog here. At the end all three largest metro areas of Houston, Dallas and Austin went to him with 20-25% margins, while conservative Democrats went for Clinton name recognition, hence 3% difference in popular vote. Obama walks fromTexas with more delegates than Clinton. Enough said.
For months, the Republicans advised all the Democrats to vote for Obama to help defeat the Bitch.. People like me pointed this out over and over again.
Now the Republicans are advising the Democrats to vote for Hillary. Why do Democrats even bother listening to the Republicans.
I'm voting for Hillary, but not because Carl Rove or Ann Coulter are telling me to do so. I'm voting for her because she is the only candidate who stands a chance against the war mongers and oil barons. She's a warrior.
That's not what the polls have been saying for months now though.
are you paying attention to the polls? Just a few months ago they had hillary in a runaway as the nominee.....the polls now and the reality of the polls in the general are worlds apart-its one thing to ask a hypothetical-another when you are faced with a real choice, who in their right mind is going to pick a novice to turn our economy around?
Yeah a warrior FOR the warmongers AND the oil barons.
Good grief... get a clue.
Those last 2 SNL skits were not funny. The fact that I'm an Obama fan probably clouds my judgement, but to be truly funny a skit needs to be based, at least in part, on truth. I'm sorry, but I didn't see any bias against Hillary in either debate. In fact they go out of their way not to be. And why make Obama look like a retard? That's also not based on fact. It's only funny to Clinton supporters who were dying to have a reason, any reason, to stick with their candidate. It came across as mean, and so will Hillary if she succeeds in stealing the election.
Oh well, SNL may have succeeded in giving Hillary a psycological victory in TX and OH, but the simple truth is she will never win the delegate race. The victimhood thing only goes so far.
SNL has not been "funny" in a long time. Isn't Lorne Micheals a conservative?
The Republicans want to pick our candidate and they are pushing Hillary 24/7-Hello!
Its pretty much of a given that the Dems should dominate the WH, Senate and the House but I think you're gonna see red states turn blue. The repubs should start loosing governorships, state legislatures, mayorships and school boards. This is the only true victory for me. Hopefully the conservative movement will disapear from the mainstream of politics for a generation. Its time for the moderates to regain power.
Yes, and her smear tactics were also very "funny". What else does she has to offer but smear. On that she is very experienced. Her role as a victim has worked so far. She probably left her red phone ring non-stop because she was angry she always had to answer first.
All we want know, is that she releases her tax returns. We want to see if she is dedicated to regular people, and not to special interest. If there is nothing to hide, she will release tax records, phone logs, and records to see who is paying her husband for speeches, NOW.
Strange that for a Democratic candidate we have to go to republic spokespeople to hear a good word about her. Shame on the liberal press; they have become "fair and balanced" like Fox News.A harsh word from Pat is better than a kind word from Matthews. At least the word of the pt's of this world are honest unlike the false liberals. The kind word of the liberal is a barb.
Or, "as far as I know", a Democrat who praises her Republican opponent while she tears down her own Democratic one.
BOTH Senator McCain & I have experience; while Senator Obama has only got 1 speech.
Ironically, Senator Obama worked with Senator Feingold to tweak Harry Reid's Reform bill which passed into law last year.
He worked with Dick Luger on a bill which passed into law about coralling loose 'nukes' to safeguard our country from terrorists getting a hold of nuclear weapons.
Not too shabby, for a 1 speech wonder.
Senator Clinton was in Fairfax the night of that area's primaries but she couldn't make it over to the Senate to assist with her vote to against the illegal wire tapping bill. Both Obama and McCain made it to the Senate to cast their votes -
Some of us just do not support Hillary just like some of you don't support Obama. So don't expect false praise for Hillary from the Obama supporters just like we don't expect prasie from the Hillary supporters.
When the debates start in the general election I can visualize B.O. looking young and fresh as opposed to the tired old retread accross from him. That is a winner for Dem's. Now picture baggage ridden HRC accross from an old but charming "my friends" McCain. It's a toss up.
Many others, primarily Republicans, could picture B.O. looking young and fresh in the pic of Muslim garb that the Repubs will wallpaper America with......too....
Many others, mainly working Americans in Ohio, etc., could picture B.O. looking young and fresh while telling Canadian officials that his rhetoric about NAFTA means nothing on the campaign trail........too
Many others, senior adults who have fought in WW II, etc., could picture B.O. answering that 3am phone call and turning to Michele and asking, "What should I do?" and her turning over and saying, "I just recently found some pride for America, beats me".....call Sen. Clinton and see what Bill thinks......
Yes and barracks supporters still fail to accept responsibility for his role in his own demise. His judgement in the choice of his cheif economic advisor is cerainly questionable, I suggest its another of those BONEHEAD decisions that keeps coming back to haunt him like a bad popup
Bill Clinton was a complete doofus in foreign policy. No one should be asking his advice about what to do in an emergency overseas. He can wonk you to death with theory but, if you recall, he flubbed the pop quizzes big time as president.
NOW THIS IS A REALLY GOOD POST.................IT SEEMS "MICHELLE" WEARS THE PANTS = SHE SURE IS A STRONG WOMAN..............
Sad but true. Many gullible voters will swallow whatever they are fed. Negative media attention is very effective particularly if it comes within 3 days of the caucus/primary.
This slimy tactic of pandering (the 'tears'), whining about being picked on by male opponents and the media, and whining about being asked the first question in debates has paid short-term dividens for the Bill/Hillary team. Whining or false negative attacking is now expected from the Clinton's even though it damages the election chances of their own party. This method is then supported by anyone who can influence the messge coming from SNL or any other MSM-controlled venue.
I couldn't disagree with you more. I am a lifelong Democrat with a very liberal point of view that was noticing and talking about everything SNL, Buchanan, and even David Frum were presenting. It is not because they want Hillary to run so she can lose; rather, they recognize that there has been an attempt by Democrats to destroy one of their own. While Obama received few if any difficulty questions or interviews, Hillary was being accused of being a racist (which we all know to be untrue), strident, overly sensitive, etc. No matter what she did or said, she was attacked by journalists, analysts, pundits, commentators, comedians, and talk radio hosts. You could only miss this pattern if you wanted to and the only people I know that don't want to see this are those who support Obama and want him kept sparkling clean.
I, both, REJECT & DENOUNCE your comments about soft ball questions.
Senator Clinton even used one of Senator Obama's answers in the debate on MSNBC on her last 'attack' ad before last Tuesdays primaries.
But since you brought it up, did you notice that the day after the debate, HRC's campaign backpedalled on THEIR Income Tax returns.
Senator Clinton's 5 million dollar loan (with interest) from their JOINT account for her campaign, opens their JOINT finances into the Public Domain and begs the question:
WHERE ARE ALL THEIR PREVIOUS TAX RETURNS?
Why do we need to wait until April 15th to see the 2005 and 2006 returns?
We know that it was during that timeframe that she and her husband had to liquidate a large portion of their portfolio to avoid conflicts of interest for her run for President.
Are there corporate connections that they don't want the Press to peruse and the voters to see?
To paraphrase her staunch supporter, Gov. Ted Strickland (who WON his Governorship by asking this of his opponent when he wouldn't release his tax returns) WHAT IS SHE HIDING?
Dari asks:
“Why do we need to wait until April 15th to see the 2005 and 2006 returns?”
…………………………………………………………………………………
Because Hillary said so.
In her last debate with Obama, when questioned about releasing her tax returns, I got the impression that Hillary was trying her best to evade the topic, appearing somewhat hesitant and uneasy. Her income tax information should have been available to the public by now.
Just wondering.
"Hillary was being accused of being a racist (which we all know to be untrue)"
Not totally untrue. It is a very subtle form of racism of which she is most likely unaware. The subtexts of her messages have been racist, as when she was talking about "hiring." That could be heard as "do you really want to hire a black man?" Also true with her hammering on Obama's alleged inexperience. Inexperience was the classic excuse in the South after the Civil Rights laws for not hiring young well educated and capable blacks. I think she used these tactics to her advantage in southern Ohio which is really an extension of Appalachia.
One would think a Supershrink could figure this out.
Right you are, Suprshrink.
The blinders are on the Obama fans. Is there a correlation between the emotional impulse to follow Obama's "inspiration" and the emotional analysis of "everthing Clinton"? I'm serious about this. It's just weird how so many Obama fans just don't see things that are right in front of their face and then invent reasons to hate and fume and be outraged. I don't have a beef with Obama, but his followers can be so irrational and emotional I'm embarrassed for our party.
Hillary supporters use their emotional blindness to shield themselves from this basic fact....Hillary is totally dependent on her Husband Bill for any of her "experience." She has never been, and apparently will never be free of Bill. A team? Perhaps. Or, perhaps it is simply leaning too much on one's spouse and failing to act independently. In many ways, despite her tough talk, she is someone who has to have many men behind her. I will take Obama anytime. We will have a woman president someday. But this lady is not the one.
That works both ways this has not been a one sided thing.
I'd say rather high political I.Q.S.
Cheating, using unfair media time to sleeze your opponent, refusing to accept the will of the people, giving more credit to the Republican opponent who has sold out like you, might just be a few of the little "incidentals that might nix my voting or support for Hillary.
I used to support her until her strange "war" votes, and her addition of huge groups of lobbyists-so Republican.
So not what our Party should be about.
You are simply not correct that press coverage of Hillary has been resolutely sharper than press coverage of Obama. You also fail to account for the persistent and toxic stream of false information about Obama that circulates daily on the internet.
Re. point one, listen to NPR if you want to hear reporting that consistently, albeit subtly, favors Hillary. Clinton talking points are often repeated verbatim in NPR stories, often without challenge. In one, last month, a Clinton surrogate was actually quoted as referring to Obama as an "affirmative action" candidate." A more typical pattern for NPR is a twin set of campaign stories: The Clinton stories inevitably reproduce sound bites from Hillary and/or quotes from voters who support her from unexpected demographics (e.g., white men). The Obama stories often do not reproduce live sound bites or reproduce ones of lower quality. When supporters are quoted, they are often from expected demographics (e.g., African-American voters; young voters).
Re. point two, anyone who has followed this campaign knows that about the Muslim "smear" (which is, of course, a smear not simply because it is false but also because of anti-Muslim bigotry); the Manchurian candidate smear; the flag pin smear. Clinton has to deal with sexism, but comments about her appearance and/or of the "iron my shirt" variety are light stuff compared with comments that suggest Obama is not a "true, blue" patriotic American. And, you say, everybody knows Clinton is not a racists. I am among those who used to "know" this, but I certainly don't now. There were the early moves by her campaign to frame Obama as a lightwweight "jiving" black guy (e.g., the "affirmative action" candidate remark). Most, most disturbingly, there was her response on the 60' minutes interview to the Muslim question: "He's not a Muslim AS FAR AS I KNOW." Any lawyer, which she is, would recognize the "as far as I know" phrase as the great weasel equivocation, the phrase that distances the speaker from the denial, the phrase that signals to the bigots out there that they actually may know something that she doesn't know.
The Clinton campaign has demurred and insisted that what she said she didn't say, but all who know how absolutely intelligent HRC is, and know what wordsmiths the Clintons are, realize that her "as far as I know" was a well-modulated way of keeping alive a doubt about Obama. And, in fact, the whole script, the narrative, the theme of Clinton's campaign in Ohio has been to portray him as a candidate without substance: "All he has done is gi ven one speech." The narrative rests upon and reinforces hugely resonant racial stereotypes. HRC knows this. It is being used strategically. Her supporters who want to believe that she is the great champion of rights need to wake up and accept the reality that she is doing whatever she thinks she needs to do to win--even if it means feeding the prejudices of bigots, however subtly.
I disagree with your assertion that NPR gives favorable press to clintin, i just had emailed them complaining about the obviously young and giddy "journalist s} they use who are not very subtle in hinding their obama support and told them i would not be making a donation this cycle, and they might want to think about offerring a course in journalistic ethics to their people
Sometime between now and the Pennsylvania primary, we'll see Hilary Clinton standing next to Governor Ed Rendell who back in February said that whites in Pennsylvania would not vote for a black man. It was highly offensive to both blacks and whites. To support his argument, Rendell cite his 17 point margin of victory over Lynn Swann, who is black. The truth is that almost all of Swann's supporters were white. Blacks did not vote for Swann because he is a Republic. Almost all blacks supported Rendell. The media did not ask Hilary to reject the support of Rendell, and neither did Barack Obama. During the last debate, Hilary made a play on words after Barack had denounced Farrakhan. To clear things up, Barack immediately denounced and rejected Farrakhan. For a week we heard Jews won't back Obama even though he is pro Israel. There's a double standard in the mede, and Hilary is being hypocritical about by standing next to Ed Rendell and saying nothing. She might as well wear a t- shirt that says "I don't care about black. I just want to win". According to the media Obama is supposed to be color blind, but it's ok for the Clinton's to be color conscious. The Washington Post reported today they have some staffers they refer to as the "white boys". As former President Clinton would say, "Give me a break".
