Noise Pop Day 1: Lord Huron Even Excites an Indie Crowd! Review, Setlist, and Photos

Indie rock bands can bring in a rather somber audience most times, but Lord Huron refused to kick off Noise Pop without a bang. Playing almost their entire debut album Lonesome Dreams and then some, Lord Huron brought an endless source of energy and some seriously catchy rhythms to The Fillmore last night.

I saw Lord Huron last year at High Sierra Music Festival (my favorite California festival to date) by pure mistake. I was beelining for water at my tent when I overheard Lord Huron starting their set. I pushed my way through the crowd to get a better look and was hooked from that moment on.

The night started off with one of their most popular songs "Ends of the Earth" and it didn't slow down much until they exited the stage. Ben Schneider the lead singer has a voice that sounds even more amazing live than it does on their album and really knows how to win over a crowd of nerdy San Franciscans. If this is a preview for how the rest of Noise Pop will be then we should be in for one exciting week of music. Check out the setlist and slideshow below!
