If approved, the permitted use is expected to start next summer.\r\n\r\n\"We're actively working with the San Francisco MTA towards a mutually agreeable policy on shuttles in the city,\" Google said in a statement to The Huffington Post\r\n\r\nBut disgruntled employees on board shared their frustrations on social media.\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>My Google Bus is currently under siege by protesters at 24th and Valencia. For protesters and long-time residents of the Mission District and beyond, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2013\/12\/09\/sf_protesters_block_google_buses\/\" target=\"_hplink\">the Google Bus is a symbol of the city\u2019s soaring rent prices<\/a> and escalating number of evictions triggered by high-paid tech employees with the money to drive up the market.\r\n\r\nHowever, a staged act by a fake Google employee may have dampened the blockade\u2019s credibility. Protest organizer Leslie Dreyer confirmed with the San Francisco Bay Guardian that an enraged man who told an activist to get a better job or leave town <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfbg.com\/googleshoutdown\" target=\"_hplink\">was actually Max Bell Alper, a union organizer<\/a> from Oakland.
