Paul Ryan, Mitt Romney's new running mate, has a history of anti-climate science statements and votes, according to Brad Johnson:
Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI), Mitt Romney's vice-presidential pick, is a virulent denier of climate science, with a voting record to match.
A favorite of the Koch brothers, Ryan has accused scientists of engaging in conspiracy to "intentionally mislead the public on the issue of climate change." He has implied that snow invalidates global warming.Ryan has voted to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from limiting greenhouse pollution, to eliminate White House climate advisers, to block the U.S. Department of Agriculture from preparing for climate disasters like the drought devastating his home state, and to eliminate the Department of Energy Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA-E).
He has also said there is "growing disagreement among scientists about climate change and its causes."
In addition to his opposition to meaningful action to reduce global warming pollution, Paul Ryan's budget called for "drastic cuts in federal spending on energy research and development and for the outright elimination of subsidies and tax breaks for wind, solar power and other alternative energy technologies."
Solving the climate crisis requires political leadership that recognizes the serious reality of global warming and fights for policies that move us toward a clean energy economy, not backward.

Take some Novocaine. I am about to remove all your teeth.
Ice Ages are now believed to be caused by Milankovitch cycles in the earth’s orbital precession. The cycle is well understood and we should be entering a cooling period now but we are not, thanks to man made global warming.
Water vapor is the major greenhouse gas, of course, but it has the habit of condensing and precipitating out of the air as rain, snow, and ice, so it only exists in low parts per million concentration throughout most of the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide, on the other hand, is present in nearly 400 parts per million concentration throughout most of the atmosphere and already has reached 400 parts per million in some places.
The pre-industrial age carbon dioxide level was around 280 parts per million. Humans have increased the level by 40 percent to nearly 400 parts per million. Humans do not contribute all the CO2 in the air, they just add enough to tip the balance of nature so that we are adding it faster than nature can remove it.
Arthur Clark considered Fred Singer an old friend but a far lesser intellect. He wrote disparagingly about Singer having to be convinced by others that man could rocket into space, even though Singer was a rocket scientist himself at the time. Singer is not respected by many scientists, especially since he supported the tobacco industry, and did not believe in ozone depletion by Freon.
To support this claim, he will cite a graph carefully cherry picked from the CRU's data.
The BEST study presents a very comprehensive graph that integrates data from NASA, NOAA, the CRU and it's own analysis.

The National Center for Atmospheric Research states, "Averaged over all land and ocean surfaces, temperatures have warmed roughly 1.33°F (0.74ºC) over the last century, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change..." and goes on to say, "There are slight differences in global records between groups at NCDC, NASA, and the University of East Anglia. Each group calculates global temperature year by year, using slightly different techniques. However, analyses from all three groups point to the decade between 2000 and 2009 as the hottest since modern records began more than a century ago."

There's the big picture that his cherry picking attempts to hide.
If some Hollywood hack were to make a movie with two evil villains using the factual biographical information of the Koch brothers, the audience would get up and leave proclaiming the movie 'not believable'.
I will vote for Romney and him in a heartbeat.
Those that milk fear of 1/2 degree per century warming with one at all this century are without honor and should be defeated.
'doubt is our product'
'CO2 doesn't cause global warming'
'It has been cooling all century long'
'What about the corals a million years ago'

"What is good for the Billionaires is what is best for the country.
The rest of you, what use are you?"
There was much much more CO2 then.
The acidification lie is just that a lie !
"You have never answered the question about why ancient corals didn't go extinct."
I am not interested in your astroturfing strawman. You read something on the Watts fossil fuel misinformation franchise, and then you rush over here to peddle it for weeks on end. That is why they keep throwing you off the board netdr.
"The acidification lie is just that a lie !"
We'll go with the qualified oceanographers at NOAA, not you netdr who has a long record of falsifying every single thing about climate.
The ocean is acidifying. The atmosphere is getting carbonized.
"I took the bait. I met with him and his collaborators on “Our Choice,” a $5 app version (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) of Mr. Gore’s 2009 best seller of the same name.
Now, I’ll be frank with you: I must get pitched every other week on some “revolutionary” e-book app that claims to reinvent the book. That usually means it has a couple of video clips in it.
“Our Choice,” though, might actually live up to the boast....
It’s vintage Gore: persuasive, careful, reasoned and filled with layman-ized recaps of recent scientific research. If you didn’t know about black carbon, albedo and halocarbons, you will after reading “Our Choice.”

Accepting poor performance is condoning poor performance....The same application that could be said of Wall Street.....except in both cases their behaviors are by design and intent.
However, you will find the same facts aired on Public Television in science books.
