Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will address the United Nations General Assembly next Thursday. Here are some points to watch:

•Will he vow to press on with the Iranian nuclear program in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions? Example: "The Iranian people are united... and will not step back one inch in their nuclear program. Iran has become a nuclear country." (June 3, 2007)

•Will he defy U.N. sanctions? Example: "Whatever they do, Iran will continue its activities. Sanctions are not important." (Sept. 18, 2008)

•Will he blame the United States for all the world's troubles? Example: "The root of all problems and wars in the world is the unwanted meddling of the United States in world affairs." (Jan. 15, 2009)

•Will he again call for the destruction of Israel? Example: "Regional nations hate this fake and criminal regime and if the smallest and briefest chance is given to regional nations, they will destroy it." (May 14, 2008)

•Will he demean women and African Americans? Example: "Presidency of a woman in a country that boasts its gunmanship is unlikely... Do you think a black candidate would be allowed to be president in the U.S.?" (May 1, 2008)

•Will he deny the existence of gays? Example: "In Iran, we don't have homosexuals like in your country. In Iran, we do not have this phenomenon." (Sept 24, 2007)

•Will he use Nazi-inspired rhetoric? Example: "World powers created a black and dirty microbe named the Zionist regime." (Feb 20,2008)

•Will he deny the Holocaust? Example: "Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces, although we don't accept this claim..." (Dec 8, 2005)
