Alan McGee is a Senior Marketing Analyst at DonorsChoose.org, the online charity that connects individual “citizen philanthropists” with classrooms in need. At DonorsChoose.org, teachers post requests for materials and experiences that their students need to thrive, and citizens can then give to the project request that most inspires them. Every donor then gets photographs and thank-you letters from the classroom that he or she chose to help.

Prior to joining DonorsChoose.org, Alan was a member of Kiva.org's Fellows Program where he spent time in Kenya studying the effects of microfinance lending in rural communities. His work is now focused on analyzing website user experience and philanthropic donation behavior.
