She's a Social Entrepreneur. As the founder of Rainforest ECO, she supports organic, fair trade reforestation in Brazil's Atlantic Rainforest, where she was born.
Alana is also a botanical artist. Her watercolors and digital collages have been published in numerous books as well as exhibited at the Bruce Museum of Arts and Sciences, the Smithsonian Institution's Horticultural Exhibit with the US Botanic Garden, and the Museum of Natural History Gift Shop.
