Alec Ross is a Senior Fellow at Columbia University’s School of International & Public Affairs and writing a book to be published by Simon & Schuster about the industries and businesses of the future. Alec recently served for four year as Senior Advisor for Innovation to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and as the Convener for the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Policy Committee on Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. He spent 8 years working on programs to bring technology to poor communities around the globe at a nonprofit organization he co-founded and as an inner-city school teacher through Teach for America.
