While giving a lecture for a Mutual UFO Network MUFON meeting in Greeley, Colo., in 2008, I was asked by one of the attendees to look at a video he had taken during a recent trip to Las Vegas. He said that while walking down the strip near New York-New York, he and his family saw a strange glowing object floating around in the sky. It then dropped down and made some strange maneuvers around the New York-New York rollercoaster. After that, it went back up in the sky and kind of meandered around.
The video is very strange, and I could not figure out what the object was. At first I thought it may be debris floating around in the wind, but I later ruled that out. I have seen videos of trash in the sky which people thought may be a UFO, but this doesn't move like a plastic bag blowing in the wind.
The witness let me make a copy and said it would be alright to show others and send it to the media. At the time, my media contacts in Las Vegas didn't end up posting it, although they agreed the video is strange. I rediscovered the video recently and put in on YouTube. Maybe one of you out there can help me identify this peculiar wandering object above the Las Vegas strip.
