I blame DeLeon tequila and the fab staff at Milk for getting me a little too drunk, so I have to smush two days coverage into one. Which isn't a bad thing. It just means you get more photos, from babies fascinated by breasts to Anna Wintour watching Donna Karan.
The gals of Cushnie et Ochs are trying to be a little more commercial, even though they gave us Indians down the runway. The black hipster dresses looked quite good, when I reviewed the roll. David Karp, Tumblr king, visited Mac & Milk studios for his first foray into fashion. He seemed to genuinely think it was awesome.
At Imitation Of Christ, Sasha, Liev Schreiber's three-year-old, had lunch on his mind as the first looks came down the runway. And Chloe Sevigny looked really cool. Catherine Malandrino had the most amazing red coats, as she showed in an abandoned floor of a Times Square building. Gregory Parkinson gave us purple people and Katie Gallagher has goth on her mind.
Waiting for Chris Benz to start, in a truly breezy Uptown tunnel, I snapped the fuzziest, most amazing coat. Truly stylish and practical -- Balenciaga. Chris gave us beige coats and looks inspired by Savannah, and the most amazing floppy hats ever.
Donna Karan was minimalist -- slightly gray metallic and quite fuzzy. I loved, loved watching the Vogue staff watch the runway. This is one of the reasons I'm always clambering for this show.
Kevork Kiledjian showed for the first time at Milk and gave us some truly modern looks and for the first time ever, I saw a rethink of a bondage dress that actually works. Ohne Titel, designed by Flora Gill and Alexa Adams, takes architectural shapes and construction seriously. And I adored their offering. I'm excited to spend so much time at Milk Studio's -- there's something so much more genuine about the place.
