To be totally accurate it should probably read, "the death of journalism is foreshadowed by my presence on television," or "despite the fact that everyone blames the Internet for the demise of newspapers it's really people like me that instill a serious distrust of the media in the American psyche." But that's all wordy and shit. Frankly, it's pretty good as is.

As Hannity stated, he is not a journalist, but a commentato r...which means he does not do any research or fact finding, he just says whatever he wants, an opinion is not journalism.
For him to say that journalism is dead, is wrong. Good Journalism may be weakened, but there are those who actually do good work, with indepth analysis and reporting. There are many who say they are journalist, when in fact, they are merely writing opinions.
In recent months, Newsweek has undergone a transformation, where they focus on a single topic with multiple articles, by several authors. That approach is wonderful, unless you have the attention span of a knat.
Those, like Hannity, are trying to blame the Internet are wrong. Well written articles with links to other articles give the reader the opportunity to learn about a topic.
The 30 second to 2 minute story you see on the national nightly news is insufficient to present content that will allow the watcher to understand more than what the broadcasting company wants to present. If that was lost, that would not be a loss to anyone who really wants to know what is going on in the world.
The reader/viewer can choose to be informed or not, but there are lots of journalists who do excellent work...and for FOX, the simply do not employ any of them.
I'm glad he finally realizes what fox news is doing. He's on top of the list of people who are killing journalism
HANNITY AND SARA PALIN NEED TO READ UP !!!!!!!!
THE FOOD LION LAW SUIT AGAINST ABC KILLED JOURNALISM YEARS AGO !!!!!!!
Where has Hannity been under a rock ???????
Report the news as is...simpl e, true journalism.
Dan Rather tried that - look where it got him!
With the likes of him on TV, it's not a surprise. Oh! The irony!
When did Sean Hannity become a journalist? Seriously!
There are only certain people from whom I accept such proclamations. Sean Hannity isn't one of them. Hannity and individuals who attempt to pass as journalists (Geraldo Rivera and Greta Van Susteren) bear responsibility of the decline of journalism. The Faux News brigade only believes journalism is dead, since many other reporters aren't parroting the Grand Old Party line.
However, Faux News shouldn't take all the blame. The onslaught of "entertainment journalism" has deluded the journalism field. Chronicling Brangelina's every move and Michael Jackson's death supplanted important news. Yes, Jackson was a force and a legend. But coverage of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as Iran seemed to disappear. The misplaced priorities of the industry has exacerbated its problems.
But journalism isn't dead. Regardless of what many say, there are reporters capable of actual "fair and balanced" work. I beg to differ with a blogger, who claimed all reporters have agendas. Of course, people are welcome to disagree. And I'm sure they will. Most reporters aim to provide fair and balanced stories. Sources are the ones with agendas. Faux News is good at furthering the agendas of their major sources.
If journalism were dead, FNC put the last nail in its coffin. However, it's alive and well. But a revival is in order.
I've said it before and will again. Until legit journalists decry Fox on the air and demand ethical journalism
even Fox listeners will never understand the difference between the two. How about a ten minute report on Hannity's editing of the Presidents speeches. Short and plain; then turn and challenge the Foxians
to show that everyone does it. By constantly deriding journalism Righties have cheapened the currency of reporting to universal skepticism. The only way ethical journalists can thrive is to show the liars and
dissemblers for what they are. The Fox editors have no standards and won't document their nonsense until folks realize what real journalism requires. Another test I've insisted from righties is this: If the
reporter's bias has such huge effect on the reader's conclusions let's see you write one. Here's my
basic man bites dog story. Be a liberal biasguy and write it to effect me the reader. Good - now write it as
a Foxian screwball. Impossible ain't it.
The Fox News gang are the worst offenders of unprofessi onal/biase d non-factual spewing of rants; Fox News is ANCHORTAINMENT, PERIOD.
wow is this news
This is strange; could FAUX NOISE's, 2 Often Seen, be close to being right on his own or was 2 Often Seen's story plagarized by FAUX NOISE?
And some journalists think bloggers are the problem?
Fox News is never about journalism, it's political pornography, with Hannity as the lead actor, supported by Glenn Beck and Billo.
Of course journalism is dead at Fox News.
Hannity should know , he killed it.
The best thing that we can do for Sean, Bill O, Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter et.al
is ignore them. They get a rush and ratings out of the attention. They are not part of the solutions of America they want our President to fail. Don't give them the time of day, starting today.
