Ali Faisal Al-Lami has been the Coordinator of the Shiite Political Council, Coordinator of the Public Committee for the Popular Support and the General Director at the De-Baathification Committee.

After the fall of the Saddam, he participated in the political process. He was the Deputy of the Governing Council Member (Prince of the Marshes) Sheikh Abdul Karim Mahood Muhammadawi. He contributed to the formation of the Supreme National Commission for De-Baathification and contributed more than once to stop the fighting between the Sadrists and the US lead multinational forces

Ali was subjected to a prison in Saddam’s Intelligence (Mukhabrat), public security and the security of Saddam several times.

Ali is married with have two sons and four daughters
