Alisa Wolfson
Alisa Wolfson was born and raised in Los Angeles (yes, born-and-bred Angelenos do exist). After graduating from college, she moved to New York City only to find the man she would marry, as well as a job as a Features Writer at the New York Post. After four winters and an array of puffy black coats, the laid-back LA lifestyle and lack of layered clothing started calling her name (as did her mother). Back in LA, Alisa worked as a Staff Reporter at Us Weekly and has contributed to Angeleno Magazine and C California Style. Alisa lives with her husband Matt and their dog Gus in LA's Brentwood neighborhood.

With all the the talk about Lululemon's "dumpy" new CEO Laurent Potdevin at the helm of the fitness conscious company, it only seems fitting to explore the brand's highly contoured and often copycatted clothing -- and what's made it the most sought after non-athletic, athletic apparel.

Since launching in 1998,...

The Worst Dressed Musicians Unite at the 2014 Grammy Awards

After this week, who can take Grammy Award fashion seriously? In my book, it's like a special addendum to Halloween, reserved specifically for musicians. A one night affair where creepy and crazy come together on the red carpet and celebrities take the liberty of pushing the fashion envelope just about...

(0) Comments | Posted October 10, 2013 | 2:22 PM

I'm of the rare breed who has a rather edited closet. Of course, if you ask my husband, he'll say I have more clothes than a department store -- but that's just because he hasn't seen my friends closets. And the piles of clothes they have lying around outside their...

Lena Dunham's Red Carpet Curse

(8) Comments | Posted September 25, 2013 | 12:07 PM

Sure, we've all decided on our favorite looks from the Emmy's. Some of us even had opinions before the stars set foot out of their cars. Like me with Lena Dunham. I always know she's going to look mildly disheveled. Is that fair? No. Is it true? Yes.

I'm not...

Fashion Week has long been a culmination of starving souls yearning, aching and damn near dying to be noticed. It happens twice a year, for a week at a time (and thankfully not more).

New York's most fashionable residents, editors, designers and wannabe industry folk, clammer for...

Sometimes I let my hamper fill up to the brim before I lug it across my house and start a laundry marathon. Then there are the times I really want to wash just one pair of jeans, but I have no other laundry to do, so I set the load...

When it comes to friendships, there are few things more awkward than returning clothing you've "borrowed" or honestly acquired after a significant amount of time has passed.

Borrowing a dress to wear to a wedding is one thing, but hosting a party and hanging your guests' coats in the closet...
