Allan Abramson joined the Environmental Protection Agency in June 1971 and stayed 34 years, in many different jobs, including 26 years as a federal Senior Executive. He retired in 2005.

Allan was educated at the Bronx High School of Science, Columbia, the University of Chicago (Chemistry Ph.D.), and Golden Gate University (Master of Public Administration).

He currently focuses on his HuffPost blog, and maintains archives of two blogs: http://allan-firstprinciples.blogspot.com/ and http://wimpwatch.blogspot.com/. His current interests include policy analysis and mediation.
